This vet is THE BEST !! I live in Springfield - and found them by who was able to see my dog immediately for yearly vaccines and an eye issue. They worked me right in. They are friendly and courteous. The office is spotless. And as I hadn't had a puppy in many years - I had a lot of questions about the best care, food, treats, exercise.... The vet never tried to rush me, and she explained - in detail - my questions. We now take all of our pets there. And recently, shots came due and I just happened to be driving thru Taylorville - late Saturday morning - and they still worked me on for a quick vaccine before they closed at noon I highly recommend this vet to anyone who loves their furry kids !! read more

I spent over $250 on two dog washes and barely even got their nails trimmed and filed like I had asked to. Not impressed.

Jack Flash a Boston had a very bad broken leg after x-rays the staff had a meeting to decide if they would even attempt to take the case or send him to the UOI for treatment. The staff decided they would try, I was relieved but still worried about the outcome. I had multiple appointments each with the upmost concern from the staff to do the best job they could, 4 different cast, monitoring his progress and x-rays. There were three vets and numerous staff, Mandolin, Katie, Sam, just to name a few that helped so much with this process. Jack's outcome was a great success. The price was probably about 1/3 the cost it would have been at the UOI. As far as Jack and I are concerned this is the best Vet Clinic in central IL maybe all IL. read more

Sadly, I believe this vet is honestly just in it for the money. I have waited a couple of years to even put this out because I wanted to make sure I wasn't angry in my words. I want people to know what happens when you need someone to help with your beloved pets! I became a puppy mom after losing my 16 year old daughter. I was devastated but My sweet poodle Callie helped me through of the hardest times of my life. When she was little, I thought countryside was a great vet, and they cared more about the animals than any other vet, BOY WAS I WRONG!! When my sweet pup became sick, I wanted to do what was best for her. I remember that I was so very upset when I found out what was wrong. I thought that they would do what was best for my dog, but I believe that they put my poor pup through a lot of pain because it ended up costing a lot of money. She meant everything to me and they knew that, BUT I would have never put her through the pain that she had to endure. I ended up going to another vet, (same but I use today)who helped me understand what kind of pain my poor baby was going through. Vets like this are able to do things like this to people who do not have a lot of money because there is no such thing as malpractice against the vet, you just don't hear about it. If there was some way that I could sue them, I would! Please think twice before using this vet, because I would never trust this vet again with even a mouse. They are only concerned about the cost and the money that they were going to receive especially from people who can't afford it! Some of you may think well if you can't afford a vet bill, then you should not have a dog, I can afford to take care of my animals, but not when someone in a position like this is trying to take advantage of you! I am very happy with my new vet who cares much more about the animals, then what she does, the Dollar Signs!!! read more

I was impressed with the service and how willing they were to help. The customer service was amazing from both the staff and the vet. They were so willing to explain everything, answer questions, be the go between to get test results from the previous vet, and were very attentive and gentle with my animals. Even though the previous vet had failed to send the results I requested to this new vet, the new vet saw the need of the animals and started caring for them anyway. I would highly recommend this clinic. Also the setting was very inviting, open and clean. read more

I take all three of my pets to this clinic and have never had a bad experience. The vets are very caring and even have an emergency on call vet to help when problems arise. I love their grooming and their service. Definitely a good and affordable place for vet care. read more

The staff at Countryside Vet is wonderful!! Drs. Stacey, Chad and Meghan are always there when we need them during business hours and after hour emergency situations (which we have had). They take great care of our animals and I have no worries when we board our dog that he is in the best of care. All the staff is kind, answers all my questions and is eager to help. They will come out to the farm when I need them and the costs for treatments are very affordable. I always recommend them to others. We love Countryside! read more

AWESOME!!! I have utilized numerous veterinary clinics in the Springfield area during my years owning & showing dogs. The clinic does its own emergency calls, which I find comforting on those rare occasions that I have needed them. It's one less strain on the emotions to know, the vet that has been caring for your pet, is also the vet that will be there in an emergency to treat your pet. Drs. Stacey & Megahn will take the time necessary to discuss with you the necessary treatment for your pet. The clinic staff is warm & welcoming. I have found the cost for treatment to be very reasonable & conservative. I highly recommend this facility to any pet owner wanting to do the best for their pet. read more

I took my dog to the vet yesterday to start her vaccine process and I was told the vaccines process should started at 6 weeks (about 1 and a half months), and my dog is now 12 weeks (about 3 months); I did call a few vets in Decatur and Springfield area when I first pick up my dog, but I was asking about rabies shots I did not know about DHPP series, so I blame myself on that behalf. On my way to my appointment, I got lose so I called the clinic 4 times no answer when I get there everyone sitting at the desk, remind you I called early that day to reschedule my appointment because it was thundering badly so I ask can they change my appointment time, and the young lady change the time for me, and I appreciated. Now my number pop up on the caller ID and I was address by name, so I know they seen me calling and when I go inside, I was called by name which made me wonder, but I fill out the paperwork and set down, when I were to the back the assistant only talked about vaccines and other miscellaneous things to give a dog but never asks any question about my dog. When they doctor come into the room, she grabs my dog skin on top of the neck and minister the shot and never once exam my dog, I do not believe she even look at her, then gave me a chewable tablet and told me to give it her when we get home and charge me for an examination that was never minister, I am upset because I feel I was rob after looking at the statement and notice I was charge $30.00 for wellness exam that was not given. After doing my research on vaccines if your dog misses their first or second vaccines shots the doctor will gives the animal their first dose then supposed to ask the client if they want to continue to the next process or want their animal to receive the vaccines shots series and I was not asks of any the decision was made without my knowledge. Now I know these things, I called back to talk with the clinic and of course no answer again voicemail so, I called private, and they pick right up, I inform them about my visit and how unprofessional they were toward me because I had lack of knowledge about vaccines, and I stated I want to file a complaint than the lady decide she want to educate me on vaccines dose all sudden and told me to bring her back and the doctor will check her out; that is a shame and very unprofessional of this clinic. read more
