And don't get me started on the price, if you can find any restaurant with food this good at a price point close to this, I will fight a bear. Yes, you show me what I described above, and if the food is better for around the same price, I will fight a bear. Lucky for me a restaurant this good, that is this inexpensive, only exists at 106 E State Rd, in Seneca PA. The service was wonderful, very sweet and attentive. I asked lots of questions and our waitress was able to educate me on the hamloaf. Definitely worth a try and melts in your mouth. If you didn't pick up what I just put down. This is the best hearty food restaurant with the best price point anywhere, and I will fight a bear to prove it. The food is out of this world!

The food? Fantastic. The service? Great. The parking? Plenty of it…read more But then... the syrup happened. You'd think a place called The Log Cabin would serve real maple syrup -- you know, the kind that comes from trees, not a chemistry lab. Instead, they brought out that neon corn syrup impostor that tastes like it was designed to fuel a tractor, not top a pancake. One bite and my whole lumberjack fantasy came crashing down. Honestly, it's like building a beautiful cabin... and then putting plastic logs on the outside. If they ever ditch the fake syrup and go legit with the real maple stuff, I'll be back with bells (and flannel) on. Until then, consider this a cautionary tale for fellow breakfast purists.

This shop is located in downtown Meadville right on Chestnut Street and close to Diamond Park Square. The shop itself is both cute and spacious. It has a display case full of pastries, a counter to order from, and plenty of seating. Towards the back are bathrooms and a small area for children to color. You can also see a roaster through some plexiglass. I wasn't sure if they actually used it, but it was still cool to see it there. For my coffee on this morning I went with one of their specialty lattes, a hot BNB, while my wife went with an iced mocha. The menu described mine as sweet cream butter and brown sugar melted together to make an extra rich, extra creamy, mildly sweet latte. As my drinks were being made, the fluffernutter scone also caught my attention, so I purchased it after the fact. It was still the first thing that I ate, though, and I thought it was pretty good. The marshmallow was on top, and while it was sticky, it was a nice addition to the somewhat indulgent peanut butter scone underneath it. The scone definitely packed a large peanut butter punch, although it was on the drier side, even for a scone. After that I was able to try my coffee and thought that it was pretty flavorful. The coffee itself was bold and came through strong and beautifully. The butter and brown sugar flavors were a bit muddled, though. If anything, the extra creaminess, which almost felt like a silky cream, was probably the biggest contribution from the butter. My wife did enjoy hers, especially the chocolate and coffee flavors coming through. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. I love that Meadville has this charming coffee shop, and I will be back for both coffee and baked goods.
