I have lives in this area since 2018. Never tried Lil Bits Restaurant figuring it was just another greasy spoon. My family and I (5 of us) visited Lil Bits after watching the eclipse. All I can say is AMAZING. I did not know what I was missing. We were seated and drink orders taken quickly. Two of us ordered pumpkin pancakes; the fluffiest cakes I have ever seen. They were delicious. Two of us ordered BLTs with hand cut fries. Excellent!!!! One of us ordered the children's chicken tenders and fries. They were also good. Our waitress Jacki was exceptional. She said she usually works in the kitchen doing prep but was helping out wait staff today with the large influx of people coming into the area for the eclipse. I will definitely return to this restaurant. I will recommend it to friends and family. There is plenty of parking and meals are reasonably priced. My number one concern is always cleanliness of the place. This restaurant is clean and wait staff have proper dress. Don't pass this little GEM of a place by. This is the BEST restaurant in the area hands down. Sorry I forgot to take pics of our food. I hope owner/management takes the time to read these reviews. We recently moved to the area and there are not any other diners open for dinner in this area, so we have tried this place numerous times over the past few months. Our expectations weren't very high, we were just hoping for normal diner food and decent service. What we found instead was that the food quality was inconsistent and the portions were very skimpy, especially when you order the daily special.When we both ordered the chicken and biscuits special and we received 1 biscuit, sliced in half with a gravy that had peas and carrots, but lacked any pieces of chicken. We had to ask for chicken, and were brought a small cup with just a few pieces to share between us. Their liver and onions special on Thursdays is the same- my husband ordered this recently and received one small piece of liver, just a few french fries, no gravy and a wilted dinner salad. They microwave their frozen side vegetables, so you get a small cup of freezer burnt veggies sitting in a pool of water. The only halfway decent dinner was the meatloaf. They lack consistency on something as simple as a club sandwich- it varied dramatically from one day to the next. Some of the wait staff is very rude....one waitress in particular who works full time and is usually there when we stop in for dinner needs to find another job where she doesn't have to interact with the public. We brought this to management's attention and they seemed to be aware of it, but have done nothing to correct it. We gave this place several chances, and will not be back. read more

Great, home-style food on the cheap. It will fill you up without breaking the bank. For the tourists, there is a good chance that you will be waited on by a waitress from the Amish or Mennonite orders, complete with thick German accents. Not a dive, not a diner, but more of a mom and pop style restaurant. This is a small restaurant with seat yourself seating. There is a wait to get your food, but it's because everything is made to order and everything is home cooked. But the wait was worth it. The country fried steak with 2 sides is the way to go. I got it with mashed potato and waffle fries. I had white gravy over the country fried steak and mashed potato. It was delicious. $8 for the country fried steak can't be beat. Get the apple pie a la mode for desert as well. read more

Stop in Friday night with wife. I was very happy because they were still serving breakfast. I ordered country fried steak with scrambled eggs. I got a biscuit instead of toast, I figured I could use it to mop up some of the sausage gravy, great idea but the single biscuit was very small. For that reason I am taking one star away from the score. Everything else was super. I would order the exact same meal but with toast. My wife ordered eggs, bacon and home fries. She enjoyed her meal too. Service was good, place was busy. We were in and out in less than 45 minutes. I will be eating here again read more

Dont know what happened to this place. Use to be decent place. First off businesses in this area complain about business being slow, then close on Sundays which should be one of their busy days. People spend there weekends there, why would you close Sundays. Almost walked out today, walked in, not many people in restaurant, took like 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. This is a regular stop during a yearly Pymatuning vacation. Pretty good pie, coffee, and soup. Prices are reasonable across the board. Everything else seems hit and miss. Decent reuben, hot beef, and AYCE fish options. I've experienced great service and terrible service (30+ minutes for a meal when it's not busy). This is a regular stop during my 2x/yr visit up to Pymatuning to visit my dad who has retired up there. I heard they just got new management in there so wanted to check the place out since it's always been pretty decent before. Things have changed and unfortunately not for the better. I got the spaghetti parm meal and my dad got the reuben. The only good part of my dinner was the side salad which you really can't screw up. The piece of fried chicken appeared to have been over cooked in old grease, as it was partially burnt and soggy. The tomato sauce had a sweet taste to it that I didn't care for at all, almost like they dumped BBQ sauce in it or something and the meat in the sauce taste like it came from a can. YUCK! My dad said his sandwich was alright and only ate half of it. The place also appears to be understaffed. It was dinner hour and only 2 people running the front of the restaurant, 1 of them being the waitress, so it took awhile to get service. The prices have gone up and there were dead bugs laying in the window sill. This place has gone down hill in my opinion. Hopefully the new owners can clean the place up a little and get better food in there or they're going to start losing customers. I'll give them one more try when I'm back up there in September for the Water Fowl Expo. Hopefully I'll have a better rating for them then, otherwise I won't be returning again. read more
