I have been a customer of CLF for over 30 years. Some jobs they installed and some I did when I was younger. I just called them to have a gate fence post replaced and the gate reinstalled along with my mesh fence. The salesman, whom I don't blame, told me they won't do a job for less than $1500 this time of year. I find this ridiculous. He then called me back and said the best they can do is $950. $60 for parts and maybe 1 hour for 1 guy. Extremely disappointing. This is how a long time customer gets treated. Chris at County Line Fence & Outdoor Products are a bunch of useless unprofessional individuals. We had a Fencing installed into our surprise. They installed our fence 2 feet away from the property line aside from that their incompetent workers damage by 2025 fully loaded Tahoe, black and color with concrete dust from their truck, they didn't even have the professionalism or the audacity to advise me. Hey, we're going to be unloading concrete move your truck.! Now we're having a problem with them because they don't wanna come and address their issue. We have 2 feet in where our fence wasn't installed properly we had to reach out to a financial institution stop payment and to add their workers are dirty unprofessional damaged our neighbors property they cut the main root off our 5003 in where the arborist that we had come out and inspect the tree advised us that it might be sick due to the fact and how they cut the roof with dirty equipment! And the fact that they cut a main route off a tree is appalling like where did you find these installers at at your local Home Depot parking lot ! I wish I could give 0 stars. I have never posted a negative review for any contractor or service but I feel I have to for county line fence. This entire process has been horrible. Please save yourself the time and energy and do not use them. They do not care about their customers. My battle with them has been going on for far too long. I can no longer get them to even return a call let alone resolve my issue. My gate has never been balanced, I am always struggling to close it. The double gate now leans on and rubs against the other side and has since cracked.. recent winds have taken care of the rest of it and now boards are off as well. If anyone has any suggestions on what next steps I may be able to take to get my fence issue resolved I would greatly appreciate it. read more

Do NOT use County Line Fence!!! Where to start...we had a fence installed a few years back and it was the worst experience I've ever had with a company. Met with estimator and gave him clear measurements and boundary lines. Once the crew arrived they had no information about where the fence went and didn't speak English, so communication was difficult. I showed them our boundary lines and went to work for a few hours. I was in disbelief when I came back home and saw they weren't even close to the boundary lines. After calling the office many times, I finally got to speak with someone to rectify the issue. Day 2 came and the same crew showed up to try and run the fence at the proper boundary line...yet again they failed...no joke, they were still 5 feet short of where the fence should extend to and were extremely far along in the process. I called the office again and they wouldn't send anyone out to help communicate with their crew. Fast forward 10 hours to 10pm at night and the crew was out there with flashlights trying to finish the fence. I called multiple times to try and speak with a manager, and after weeks of calls, never got a call back. Since then, the gate has been a mess. Multiple sections fly out with wind because they didn't use enough (or any concrete) with certain posts. Apparently, other fence companies call them County Lean. I would have found that funny if I didn't waste so much money. This was NOT the crews fault. They worked their butts off. They lacked a foreman or someone to help with communication. Management is terrible...can't wait to see how they try to justify this disaster. read more

These guys do sub par work and then don't even stand by that. They installed my fence with the holes for posts filled only half way with concrete so they are completely unstable. They put the fence a foot and a half away from the property line, they covered my car in concrete dust and got concrete all over my neighbors fence. They agreed to fix it all and now they refuse (they even scheduled a date to come out and confirmed but never showed up). They curse at you. Their sales staff AND their workers. Do NOT use these guys. You get what you pay for. And with these guys you don't even get that. read more

We came here for vinyl fence parts after a mishap. The fence posts & rails we needed could not be found at local big mix hardware stores. I took the busted fence parts with me. The kind staff helped me figure out what I was working with. I had no idea how many "standard" sizes of fences are around. They know all the nuances. They were able to make my specialty cuts in the rear warehouse as I waited. He even made a test cut on a scrap post laying around. The guy was friendly and even joked with us. We were so pleased with the service. The price wasn't bad either. I'll definitely return here for my fence needs. read more

Trash company. Moved in to a house they had put a fence up not even 2 years ago for an old lady and her husband right before selling the house. I found the paperwork from the previous owners since the recent heavy winds knocked over a post. Come to find out they ripped off this old lady by making her pay for every post to b cemented in when in fact they r not. It even says on the paperwork all post to b cemented in. So i went to the store angry obviously cause they did a shit job and took advantage of an elderly person. I told them that to their face. Told him that concrete should b 3 to 4 inches below ground level. He said then do it urself and threw the paperwork back at me across the desk and said its not under warranty and ur not my costumer. Also stated hes been doing it for 40 years so obvisously hes screwed over many people.He said that and nothing about taking advantage of an old lady or not doing the job right. All of these reviews describing terrible service are correct. I won't bore you with my story, it's been told and retold through the tales of others here on Yelp. What I will offer is some added perspective to prospective residential customers. County line's prices are good because they deal in volume with their suppliers. They do a lot of commercial jobs and those larger jobs are what gets all their attention--I know this because the office always told me that the GM was out on these jobs himself. While County Line will quote and schedule residential projects, unless you get lucky, your job will be done by their B or C crew. That means they'll get the fence in the ground, but they will miss details like pins in the self closing latches and they'll make field calls on their own to deal with things like uneven grading etc. When you try to address these issues, after the job (especially if you realize the problems months later) that's when you'll experience extreme service evasion. This business simply will not divert their time and attention from those large, commercial jobs to help you. So, save yourself the pain and go with another company that places a higher value on working with homeowners. It's worth the 10-15% more money all day long. read more

Nope. Save yourself and your blood pressure the aggravation. Very poor communication, unless they are asking for payment. Sloppy installation on the first try, no contact as promised when we reported the issues. Crooked lines, cracks and splits in posts and support beams, exposed nail points, discolored wood, gates askew, incorrect measurements, and sneaky, lazy 'fixes' to correct. They also left rocks, dirt, concrete and wood with exposed nails all over our yard. No one got back to us when we asked for them to correct t the issues, then scheduled a visit. No call, no show. Scheduled again, and the original salesperson came, agreed that it was poorly installed, apologized, and said they would fix it shortly. The original crew shows up the next morning with no notification, got huffy and took it personally when I pointed out the issues, and kept telling me I was wrong about my concerns. Then tells me the warranty is void because my husband told them to move the position of the gate. Kept pushing me to let him replace one of the cracked posts, but obviously had never spoken to the salesperson so they understood what to fix. Very pissy that I told them that they could not touch anything until they talked to the salesperson and understood the areas of concern. More apologies from the home office. I told them I did not want the same installer who took the criticism of the work personally, but who shows up the next day? Same guy, with the salesperson. They re-hung the gates, pulled out and replaced a few posts, reused most material, and threw down boards to fill in the space at the bottom of a few of the sections. Of course, the email asking for the balance of the payment arrived before they even pulled out of the driveway. Now the latches don't work right due to the wrong positioning, there are gaps and uneven spaces along the bottoms, but I'm so sick of dealing with them and just want them out of our lives that I paid the balance and did fixes ourselves. 50 feet of hassle for $2500. I want to save someone else the trouble that we've had. Here's a quick summary of good bad: GOOD: Counter staff and the estimator had nice personalities BAD: 1. The fence that we paid over $5,000 for had these issues: didn't install it when they said they would, four weeks past the date we were given (they had our 50% deposit that whole time). 2. The woman that calls for scheduling is not honest 3. KEY fact here: the fence that I'd asked to specifically keep my dog in the yard has so many areas where he can get out. Wire and post fence - the first time my dog got out I did a walk around the whole fence -- many areas just totally missing staples and not connected to post in ANY way. There are areas of the fence, where there is as much as a 6" gap from the ground. When I called and emailed the estimator to explain the issue, no one got back to me. After several emails he suggested that I go around the entire perimeter and put "some stuff like rocks, or similar" around the bottom because the ground is uneven. When I asked him to come out and give us an estimate to create a fence that actually does what a fence should do, and suggested that another post/rail may need to be added on so the dog can't get out (easily) - he just never got back to me. So, effectively, I spent over $5,000 for nothing. When I hire someone I expect that they will give me their expert advice about materials and installation. The first time my dog was in the yard, he just ran, effortlessly, right through it. The fence does not even remotely even act as a deterrent to him. I don't think they even send a supervisor to come out and check installers' work. To sum up: they don't give you accurate install schedule; so you rely on that and then when they're late, you're stuck with them because you've taken their word and you'd be starting from scratch somewhere else. When they finally come out, it's shoddy work. When that's brought to their attention, they don't get back to you. If they do get back to you, you might get some "advice" to put rocks around an entire fence - not even offering to look at it. EVEN when you suggest that you'll pay to get a fence that works - you won't hear from them. read more

My fence was installed in July. The contractors left a huge gap between the house and the fence. A child could have gotten into our pool and a tragedy could have occurred. With small children living next door, thank God it didn't. My dog, who is a puppy could have disappeared through the gap left! Our sales representative, Matthew S. told me numerous times that his general manager would be out. That never happened. The fence is uneven. I have never seen a fence installed in such an extreme alignment! I have driven around checking fences in our neighborhood and while on vacation, checking fences in other neighborhoods, I have never seen a fence on an incline like ours is. I insisted that it be fixed and a few contractors came out a few weeks after my first complaint and fixed the gap. That is all their orders called for. This is a disgrace! My fence is on an incline! There is not one fence in their catalog showing work like that! Do Not Get A Fence by This Company!!! No Wonder They are NOT approved by the Better Business Bureau! read more

Installers left a mess that we are still trying to clean up. Gate on one side wasn't level and didn't close correctly. Installer said we needed to contact copany because it was a flaw in manufacturing. Have tried to contact several times, went to office to try and get someone to come out and address issues. left message with general manager. Have never received a call back. They (I mean a counter sales employee's and the some management) have no idea of the 3rd party product they are selling !! We asked the counter girl what we needed to order, as shown in a drawing we supplied. She wrote up the order, & received our payment in full. As my contractor was installing, he found brackets, & parts missing. We did eventually get those parts.... HOWEVER, a week later we found out we were shorted an 8' foot second rail. Almost 2 weeks later we received (2) 6' foot stair rails. (for angled balisters) Again had to call and said we ordered (1) 8' foot standard rail. (for square balisters) When not getting a return phone call, I called management & someone picked up. He told me he was a Manager with 34 years experience.... He shouted at me "the sales reps" Are not Mind Readers !!!! I said well as consumers walking in to your establishment, neither ARE WE. We needed instruction as what to order for our project. He then said we will not order what you need. We're done !! Go get your railing SOMEWHERE ELSE !!! AND THEN HE HUNG UP ON ME !!! PLUS remember, we already paid for this !! My husband and I purchased a vinyl privacy fence for our backyard. Marco, came out to do our measurements. He told us that we were getting 244 ft and it went around the entire back. I am horrible at making decisions when given too many choices, for instance I so over order when I go out to eat and then eat it for days, well County Line Fence gave me way too many choices, so I drove them crazy surrounding my entire property with different styles of fence. I had planned on fencing the whole property, but once I got the permit from the township, I was flabbergasted at the rules, like so many feet in from the middle of the street and how the front and side fences could be no higher than four feet tall from the front of your house to the front yard and had to be "see through", so I went from place to place looking for ideas and picking up brochures and finally decided on the white vinyl fence and where I wanted what style of fence, from County Line Fence.. Along the front I have the four foot "see through" picket fence which graduates up to five feet along one side and then attaches to six feet along the rear and back of the property. Along the other side, past my driveway, I went six feet all the way with the front being barely see through, but meeting with code, because I detest that neighbor! Ha, then for the same side and back of the property I have solid with lattice tops to barely see through in the rear for security reasons. I chose to run a four foot fence from the back sides of the house to the six foot rear and side fences for the doggies to romp freely. The guy thought I was some kind of lunatic, but who cares and it looks fabulous and serves my purpose not his. Seriously, these guys did an awesome job at coming out, following my exact wishes, cementing the posts in deep, I provided coffee in the morning, pizza each day and sodas and a beer for when they were done. I was amazed how the fences do not come already put together, they actually build them one by one, even the gates, which is cool, if one ever breaks it's a matter of replacing a piece and not an entire section! They did an awesome job, battling tree roots and large stones while digging. I have had many people stop by and ask me where I got the fence, it's of the highest quality, no more wood rotting, no more painting and it looks gorgeous. I'm sure they will never forget this wacky woman who designed her own fence, cost $13,500, plus change, not having to deal with my one neighbor, priceless. read more

Last summer I paid $4500 for a wood stockade fence replacement. Their crew was late in arriving and worked at lightning speed to finish the job before nightfall. I could plainly see that some OSHA safety rules were being violated in their haste to complete the work. Two weeks later I noticed that many of the posts were wobbly. I called County Line many times to fix the problem. Months later they sent two guys out. Made some improvements, but the fence posts are still loose. The jobs was botched from the very beginning. Tomorrow, a year later, I have to go out and reset one of the posts before an entire section of the fence buckles. This is not a company I would recommend to anyone. read more

We had several hundred feet of buff tech privacy with lattice top fencing installed in early 2011. We have had issues with fencing on one side of our yard coming loose and shifting. I called CLF on several occasions over a two year span of time and they repaired the areas that we had problems with. On one occasion, the female estimator said there was no concrete in the one post and she would send them out to fix it. I wasn't home, but was confident they would take care of it. It looked ok when i returned home. Here we are 9 years later. Our fence has shifted again and 6 posts became loose and some sit higher than normal. I called them, they provided me with an estimate to "reset the posts". It was close to $600. I called a different company to look at the job and ultimately perform the work. I was surprised when they told me there was NO CONCRETE on the neighbors side of the posts and some had NO CONCRETE at all!!! WTF!!!??? I spent $8000 for CLF to cut corners??? This is bullshit!!! After paying the other company today, I am warning anyone who considers CLF to be cautious and if you decide to use them...watch their installers! CLF mixes there own concrete (sand, lime and stone) for their jobs. It may not be consistent and they may cut corners toward the last run of your project like they did to us. Stay Away! The experience with County Line Fence has been horrible and frustrating. The fence they installed broke in 1 year. The doors literally fell off the hinges and all they said was warranty was up. We called every day and left messages without a call back or reply. No customer service once you pay. We had a few issues. The major issue was the color we received wasn't what we wanted. We wanted a darker fence for low cleaning maintenance and to match up with our neighbor's fence since we were connecting with them on their side the same pattern. We showed the clerk a tablet picture of our neighbor's fence and was told it was Almond. After speaking with the Manager, he said they have color samples in the store. We were never told that at the time of the order. Delivery did not go smoothly either. We were canceled our delivery date on Wed to be rescheduled Friday. They kept changing the time on Friday to later and later. So late, 5:30 pm, it interfered with my pick up time at work in Center City. I was forced to take a train home in the storm to get Soaked and pissed off! Saturday, the next day, we called the Manager about the wrong color. The Manager wasn't available until Monday.The clerk said the color Kahki wasn't in stock and the company wasn't manufacturing it for now. Our fence installers, friends, were available only on that Sunday since they were taking out their time with their family to help install the fence for us for free. On Monday, we called the Manger and explained all the troubles but he could only say "sorry". He did not want to compensate us in any form or way for the wrong color and all the troubles we experienced. After being polite to him, I told him off! I was so angry! Never again! I said I would spread the word. He said he didn't care. I guess they are not hurting for business right now. That Fence company is the worst! I told my Story to everyone. My husband is a Realtor and people are always looking for a good recommendation, not them! His friend just moved and needs a new fence, and we said don't Use County Line!!!!! read more

These guys are a joke. Here's my experience and here's why they get crushed on Yelp. They stink at Fences and have no commitment to a good customer experience. Had them come out and price a repair. They came out a few months ago. Sent me back a quote saying the price would come down if I waited until October or November. So I did. Went back in with the quote in October along with the email saying wait a few months and the price would come down. To that they called and said the price is the price and that maybe the price would come down in February. After 3-4 calls with no solutions I find myself w a broken fence writing this review. Do not give these guys work because apparently they are busy enough. The girls who answer the phone are actually nice but you can tell they run interference for their incompetent bosses all day and they know they won't call customers back when they ask for a return call. Hey maybe have another Philly sports personality back out to drum up business that you will never get to. I am telling all of my contacts on social media of my "non experience" with this pathetic bunch. read more

The perimeter fence gates to my home were not closing properly and I had to get them to close with little force. I reached out to County Line Fence and spoke with the owner who was kind, incredibly helpful and responsive. His fence installer, Nick, came out and adjusted both gates and now they close properly. I highly recommend County Line Fence to anyone in need of a new fence or maintenance on an existing. They are professional, quick to respond and extremely helpful.
