First experience with this Nissan dealer, I went in the parts room to purchase a rear plate backup light housing (picture attached). Can you believe they quoted me $60 for a 1 3/4 plastic piece. Wow! Talk about a greedy dealer! I went online and bought the same part for $13. County line has a terrible reputation for high prices but now I can personally attest to it. After my services were done, they did not review anything with me and expected me to take my receipt and go. They were suppose to give me my paper showing that they did my free inspection. OK, so I read the reviews for County Line, both positive and negative, and in general they sound like the reviews of most car dealers. Some people are happy, others aren't. I've been dealing with clients for 50 years, and have been buying cars for an equivalent period. There is no way to keep everyone happy. Car dealers, in general, are out to make money, and the process can be both complicated and frustrating. I found County Line to be both fair and more willing to work with me than most of the car dealerships I've dealt with in my life. After the usual song and dance between the salesman and the management, I was allowed to take a used car I was interested in overnight so my mechanic could evaluate it before I made a final decision. When I brought the car back with a short list of issues, the management agreed to take care of all of them, including some additional minor body work. Quite honestly, I was pleasantly surprised by their willingness to work with me. So they get a lot of points for that. Now, regarding my salesman, Eli, one of the best I have encountered in 50 years of buying cars. Very helpful! Bent over backwards to help me, even after the deal was done. Honest! Never felt pressured! Very professional and personable. Just a really nice person. Remember, car dealers are there to make money, and they're pros at it. They'll try to tack on various fees, some of which are totally bogus like the VIN etching on windows. As a buyer, you have a responsibility to know what's legit, and what your rights are. And how to evaluate the car you're interested in buying. I found County Line to be both professional and honest. Yes, there were some attempts at the usual game playing, but that is to be expected. You're negotiating. Deal with it and I'm sure you'll be pleased with their response. The stereotype of the sleazy used car salesman is realized here. This street is full of car dealers and bad experiences but this is just one personal account. Scam artists, shady people, whatever you want to call them, a hassle is what you'll get. There's a reason why it's all 1-star reviews here, at least they're consistent with that. Had a car go in for routine service, when it came out, there was a large scratch on the side door. At first County Line denied it was their fault, even though it happened on THEIR lot. It's hard to miss a scratch so large and after some back and forth, they finally agreed to fix the scratch.. except they wanted money for it. They wanted money for their negligence, what a joke. Some more back and forth ensued and they finally agreed to fix it for free and they did do it. However it was such a hassle and an unpleasant experience and after the car was fixed it even came with a note that was just dripping in condescension complete with a smiley face as if we would smile after such an ordeal. Sadly these guys are not unique in the sleaziness, Straights Tpke. on rt.63 is hardly the best place to go, just look at all the negative reviews for this area. All they seem to want to do is redesign their exterior buildings instead of their personalities. So while the buildings change, unfortunately the experiences don't seem to. I never thought I was an idiot but I must be. First time I went there with my sister to buy a new Maxima was a nightmare. Same old garbage, salespeople are idiots, back and forth to the sales manager, general manager... We were in there three hours and ended up walking out buying instead in Middletown. Last year I did all my homework and my elderly parents wanted to buy a new versa. They did not want to travel far and I figured how difficult can it be as I had every single price down to a science. They WOULD NOT PULL ANY CRAP WITH ME THIS TIME. Now mind you I researched this vehicle for two months. I had an attitude when I walked in because I hate this dealership. The sleazy, poor SOB's were like hound dogs salivating just waiting to get some business. I picked my salesperson, asked which one of the five people salivating on the front steps were the newest member of their pack? Got a newbie, figuring he would not be as slimy as the rest. Told him immediately what I wanted to pay and he had exactly 10 minutes to get an answer from the manager. It is now 12 minutes so my parents and I got up and started to walk out. Same old BS, back and forth, back and forth. We did end up closing the deal but after two hours. What makes me an idiot you ask? My daughter wants a new Rogue and I was contemplating going up there for the convenience. Thank you fellow yelpers for reminding how underhanded this business runs. I bought a Rouge here 2014. The car is ok but not really my favorite. The drivers seat apparently has a weld broken in it, now it's pretty difficult to break a weld so this seems crazy to me. The jacked up extended warranty doesn't cover it. So Nissan USA say we will pay for the parts but you have to pay labor...for a weld in the seat that is broken! This seems like an assembly issue. So a few months ago I go and look at a used car cause I don't want the Rouge anymore. The finance guy in the Wholesale lot is an ass. Here we go again, I'll give you one last shot. Found a used car that I think is okay. The online price is $26,983. Oh, but wait...there is a $1,500 charge on top of that for detailing. WTF are you serious? Why in earth would I want a dirty car. My wife bought a new Rouge here last year. From the very start there has been issues not with the vehicle only but also the staff. The finance and sales department are full of head games and tricks. Gary in the service dept. seems to be ok as he's friendly. The only reason we continue to come here is for the free oil change. Looked up some cars online when I went in they tried to make me fill out a bunch of paperwork before even telling me if they had the car. I told them I wouldn't fill anything out until they told me. They came back and said car is in Torrington but they could have it sent down and show me some other stuff in the mean time. I told them no thanks since Torrington is only 25 minutes away and that was the car I was interested in. This auto dealership and sales people and managers lack integrity and customer service skills. I ordered a car and left them a $500 deposit. When the car arrived it had a bad transmission. They offered to fix it for me for an additional $3500. I refuse the offer and requested a refund. They promised my refund on Monday. I Wednesday when I still hadn't seen the refund in my bank account I called and spoke to a manager the manager promised a refund would be processed by Thursday. On Friday I noticed the money still wasn't in my bank account and called again The managers for the refund has been processed on Thursday it would just take them a little while to see the money in my account. By Saturday the money still wasn't there. I called again and demanded my refund of the money they have been holding for 21 days. The manager swore it had been processed and couldn't figure out why I wasn't seeing it so I requested a copy of the receipt. He sent me a copy of the receipt but hit the date. I try to be honest when I do a business review as I'm a local business owner myself and realize the value of a great review versus a bad review. I have been to County Line Nissan two times to try and purchase a new car and on both occasions the experience was less than enjoyable. I will not mention names but the same sales person approached me again and I felt like I was being attacked and pressured. Long story short, I WILL NOT be going back to County Line any time soon and WILL NOT be referring them to any of my business associates in the area, some of which have already asked me what type of experience I had. NOT GOOD! It's unfortunate because I feel they have a great location on Strait's Turnpike and great inventory. But what good is all that if you don't feel like you matter when walking through their showroom doors?? Stay away and go to another Nissan dealer in the area like Harte Nissan in Hartford. It's probably worth the drive to not be harassed and pressured by some know-it-all sales person. I called Harte Nissan the other day and the experience has already been much more favorable. My friend found a couple of Frontier trucks for sale on Car gurus and contacted the dealership via e-mail and the salesman set up a 10:30am appointment for the next day. We arrived at the dealership 15 minutes early we drove from NY to CT. To check out the trucks. After we arrived the salesman informed us that both trucks were sold. But the salesman did apologized and really made a effort to make up for the mistake on their part. My buddy landed up agreeing to a 2017 that was only 280 bucks over his budget the price agreed to inculded taxes fees and plates The deal was agreed to and they shook hands. The salemans went to start the paperwork and my buddy was happy. The GM then came over to my buddy and told him we can't sell u the truck at that price we can sell u the truck at the agree price but you have to pay the taxes and fees and the plates. This increased the price by $3000.oo over my buddy budget. Once u shake hands on a deal that's the deal a man's handshake is his word. My buddy refused to pay the GM price and told him no deal and walked out. As we walked out the salesman came out and told my buddy let's make this deal happen. So we walked back in and the GM tried the old bait and switch and tried to sell my buddy a 2016 truck for the agreed price of the 2017 truck. My buddy walked away disgusted at this GM. Here in N.Y. when u shake a man's hand that's the deal you honor it good or bad. The salesman was professional and really worked with my friend to make up for the mistake of us driving to check put the 2 trucks that were all ready sold when they sent the e-mail setting up the test drive. The GM show himself to be unprofessional and has no honor or Morals for cancelling the agreed upon deal. Also should be noted my buddy wife is looking to get a trade in her 2015 nissan for a 2018 so they would have gotten a second sale out of my friend. The salesman did his best to help a customer after their mistake. The GM made him and the dealership look bad by cancelling the deal. This is not the way to treat customer. Worst experience bought my car in December 2019, ok test drove the car heard a little noise on the rotors or the brake pads told the sales guy he replied he'll have someone check on it, ok said everything is ok it could be rust dust being it sat on the lot for a while so I gave it the benefit cause it could happen drove it for now 9 months only adding 5,000 call them up how is it possible that I have metal to metal grinding with only adding 5,000 miles. They said my warranty was up I have to pay for a diagnostic and pay to resurface the rotors and they'll look into why the brakes ran out with just 5,000 miles read more

First thing I want to say is, never buy a car from here. I purchased a used, guaranteed free from any issue 2005 Volkswagon Jetta from Auto Jocks in March. I also purchased an extended warranty. By May I had to purchase new tires and an alignment was needed. In Mid June while I was returning from my brothers Groton, CT, the car completely shut off on me in the middle of i95. I had no brakes and no power and had to coast to a stop nearly being missed by a huge truck. The vehicle then caught fire in the engine, needless to say I was very scared. My insurance company sent an adjuster who looked at the vehicle and deemed it fixable. The extended warranty I purchased extra when I bought the vehicle told me to bring it to a certified mechanic, only one near me was Pep Boys. After replacing the Cadillac converter, all the burnt pieces, new battery amongst other things, the warranty company did NOT cover any of it so it had to come out of my own pocket. The car still did not run after that. The car was towed to a VW dealership because Pep boys thought it was a simple computer issue, turns out the engine and cylinders do not fire correctly. Yet again the warranty company was called and after much deliberation they may not even cover any of the damages. I returned to Auto Jocks and spoke with their managers. NOTHING has been done to help me. I've spent a lot of my own money trying to fix this car, and because all they give us 60 day warranty they will not give me other options. Be prepared to purchase a lemon from this company and be treated in a very unprofessional way. They laughed at me over the phone and constantly joked when I met them in person. I am seeking legal advice because in less than 90 days this car has broken down and I've continued to make payments and have no help from either Nissan or Auto Jocks. read more

MUST READ!!!! Went into countyline nissan expecting a steal on a great car. I have done financing for multiple nissans and love the vehicles, and was going in to hopefully find a well priced sentra as my lease had just expired. My son and I met with a great salesman who informed us he had just joined the dealership. He sat down with us and discussed a few options, also helped us to narrow down what we were looking for. We went on a test drive in a very nice used vehicle, but determined afterwards the price was a bit too high. We ran out of time and decided to come back the following day. We arrived in the evening the next day with a few offers we had gathered from a different nissan dealership. We were hoping to find a deal that could match the ones we found, or even beat it. Our assigned salesman went back and forth trying to find us something that could work, and was receptive to our goals and concerns. However, what he was able to offer us just didnt compare to the other place. It was a great experience up to this point, but then the manager came over. Sal, the manager, sat down and proceeded to mansplain to me why I should buy a vehicle that is thousands of dollars beyond my price range. He was incredibley rude and spoke down to both me and my son the entire time. He refused to even make eye contact with my son during the discussion, which was incredibley frustrating as my son was also putting money down on the car. Sal was unreceptive, rude, and ruined our entire experience. He continuously spoke over me and acted as though my reasonable requests (like giving us as good a deal as the other dealership one county over) were practically laughable. Sal ruined the sale (and our evening), and we ended up leaving the dealership not because we didn't find a car, but because we didn't want to give this man our money. I told him I'd like to see what fees his dealership charges and that if we find any more fees after that, we would be leaving. He wrote down everything clearly and 1 time! He didn't change his mind, he didn't conceal anything, he simply did what I asked. From there, we picked out a great certified used car. He listened to what I needed and respected my budget. I needed to bring my wife back later in the day and he didn't pester me for a deposit or anything. When we came back, the same deal was available and we accepted. Would give zero stars but the option is not available. So both my brake lights went out on my 2015 Nissan Rogue and I needed it done ASAP. I called county line Nissan told them just my brake lights needed to be fixed and needed it done as soon as possible they were able to get me in which I was happy about and told me it was a very quick easy service and would only cost me $25 to $30 bucks. I made an appointment right away and went right down everything went fine then as I was sitting in the waiting area I could see an employee talking to another employee and looking directly at me. Then a few minutes later an employee came to get me and wanted to show me something he brought me to my car which the back had been disassembled to change the light he said that because I have an "older car" which my car is a 2015 it's not that old ..he said the "new cars" are different and that changing my lights is now difficult since it's "old" and basically just making up a bunch of B.S. and said it would take an extra 25 minutes to 30 minutes to change a simple bulb and it was going to be about 75 dollars now I called ahead and was told 25 to 30 and I couldn't say don't do it because they already had my car taken apart and I desperately needed it done I can't drive around with no brake lights so I had no choice but to get it done. They were dishonest with me and obviously when they saw I was a women they made it obvious they were talking about how they can pull one over on me and overcharge me and try to make up some bullshit to take money from me that I don't have and they don't think I know what they are talking about because I'm a women. I don't feel comfortable going back here and feel like the employees here are sexist towards women. Brake lights themselves for a 2015 Nissan Rogue are only a couple bucks each and is a very easy and quick service to do I got other opinions from other mechanics and they said 75 dollars for brake lights is insane and that they were making up some bullshit which I already knew and I was obviously discriminated against. Hello I purchase my car 3 years ago from the Nissan in Watertown Connecticut and and appears that there is a class action suit that just finished this March then Denying those of us the ability to get a new transmission although the lawsuit(NISSAN) knows about said DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSION !! Is from the years 2013 to 2016 my car is a 2014 they are not allowing me to get into transmission although I am paying payments on the car and the car is fully insured !! But, it does not have a warrantee!! only because I do not "OWN" the car !! It expired after 80,000 miles I believe!!AND THE TRANSMISSION JYST STARTED GOING LAST WEEK!! I need help!! PLEASE!!! can someone help me in getting my transmission fixed by Nissan it is THEIR vehicle!! I have leased a car through this dealership twice and each time I had a HORRIBLE experience! Each time the process took longer than usual to lease a car (over 2 days)! Since I ended my lease early the first time they were supposed to make my last 3 car payments and waive up to $500 in wear and tear. Turns out a month later I get a bill in the mail for exactly that! That alone took a month to resolve! Not only that, they have been billing me the wrong amount for my car payment, ($15 more than I agreed to pay) and I still haven't gotten that resolved! In addition, my new car got recalled. I called the service center to schedule an appointment. After 10 minutes of being transferred back and fourth between the service center and the receptionist they informed me they could not find my car in the system. After asking me multiple times if I leased my car from there, they decided to add me in the system. After giving my VIN number they informed me they STILL could not find my car in the system. Then the guy just sat there on the phone not knowing that to do next! After 20 minutes of getting NOWHERE I ended the phone call and immediately called Bruce Bennet Nissan, within 5 minutes they took my information and booked me an appointment! A day later find out that color they listed is as was not the color, they then tried to skate out of the discounts they advertised it to USAA with. Day of the sale there is a BS roadside service tacked on, something I don't need have 3 of them at this point via credit card, insurance company etc etc. There with wife and baby so sign anyway since they say they can not remove it. Now I find out they didn't put the paperwork in as the correct company that advertised it, seems they is some backend payments to actually reduce my APR and changing names gets them out of paying it. Worst place to do business with. I had to buy a new set of tires at 20k for my wife's car due to them lying and not rotating theM when they were suppose to. I had marked the tires and brought the car there myself and the service manager reassured me multiple times that the technician did the rotation when in fact it wasn't. When confronted he just tried bullshi--- his way out. They also quoted us for a job including price and what was to be done, on a speaker phone so I heard the whole conversation, and then when she had brought the car in for service it was gonna be a far lesser service but the same price? How does that worK? There's been multiple other issues aswell but I don't have time to write a book. Trust me when I say this. Check ANY work this place does as I know the business. To start off the people they have responding to internet inquiries do not listen to a word you say and pretty much wasted my time. Then when I got to the dealership I was greeted nicely and promised the world to try and help my challenging predicament but they failed from here on out. The sales rep promised to email me the following day by 1030, time came and went with no email. So I called got told twice she was busy and would call me back but never did. I then called Sunday and supposedly spoke with the GM who then promised I would 100% get a call either today or Monday. Now 5 days later still no call back from anyone. Just to be clear I am speaking on behalf of the BODY SHOP, NOT THE DEALERSHIP as I have no experience with the dealership side of the building. THE BODY SHOP does a great job at repairs. I've been there a couple times to repair my vehicles through my insurance and never had a problem and the body work was beyond amazing as well as the detail after the final product. My husband and I pull up, full intentions of looking at a used car to purchase. We don't even get out the door, and we have a salesperson at our feet. Very pushy, and wouldn't acknowledge me, would only talk to my husband. Little did he know I was the one with the money looking to negotiate over a deal. All he kept wanting was my license so he could run a credit check, but I was paying cash. Once I said that he literally said oh and dropped us and never came pack to me. Terrible service, I bought my first nissan there and was quite pleased. WOULD never go back, and WOULD never recommend me. My husband and I bought a car in Aug. picked it up Aug. 23rd and I have had nothing but issues. While it is covered under warranty I have not gotten receipts for work done and when I asked for them it was like I asked for someones first born. I have had it twice so far for the engine light and it is going in again tomorrow for guess what the engine light. I will update my review based on the outcome of tomorrow, but I would like to add I called the dealership and left a message at 8:30 this morning I have not yet heard from them and I have texted my salesman and I have not yet heard from him. I will not be doing business with them in the future, I will make sure my friends and family steer clear and I will notify the BBB and my attorney if this is not handled properly. Oct 10th update - so again my engine light came on and I had a mechanic friend scan it to tell me the code and low and behold same issue from September that they claimed was corrected. Called last night to speak with the General Manager Ron Souza who I was told would call me in about 10 to 15 minutes, 40 minutes later still no call, I call them again to find out he has traveled across the street to their sister company but assured by Hector that I would get a call back. Dropped my car off this morning at 8 for a 8:20 appointment its 3:00pm and nobody has reached out to me with a status. I call it seems they are all in a meeting, I ask for someone in management, told I'm sorry he is also in a meeting. I call Mr. Souza get him on the phone he claims he will go find out the status of my car and get back to me. and buyer beware I got a 60 day 3000 mile warranty and they put on my paperwork that I took possession of the car Aug. 15th a full 8 days before I actually picked it up. and still waiting on receipts for work done, they have stated they cant give them to me because they are property of Nissan. Worker bees are great here. Very polite and professional. Truly seem to enjoy their work and are kind and knowledgeable . Manager are low life snakes ! Leased a new vehicle had car insured and papers signed. They then told me that I had to pay an additional 12$ a month as I did not hit tier 1 credit. ( at this point the car was insured & registered) I asked why they never contacted me and why they made me go through the entire process? "THEY DIDNT WANT TO DISTURB ME AT WORK" I told them to keep the car and magically I qualified for the program. Low life sleaze bags trying to milk you for every penny they can. * update * so I just got my jeep back from the met told me it's a lemon it's at the mechanic once a month I just can't believe how they take advantage of people Buyer beware worst dealership ever I bought a 2010 Jeep Wrangler from them was leery about it but after what happened to me I'll never buy anything from them again they promised to fix a debt in the door it went from the front passages door to the back they just fixed the front. There was a rust spot on the back that was told to me they would fix and also they were going to detail it being im buying this truck 27, thousand they had it a week painted over the rust spot and never detailed it after someone called and asked how my service was and I told them everything that was promised they made and appointment 2 weeks later to fix the rust spot finally ! I got it back spot looks great but my car still wasn't detailed ! If you buy a car for 27 thousand dollars it should be detailed seats are stained and dirt still in it I was told the manger personally detailed it if that the case she should be fired ! I will tell everyone how I was treated from the very beginning oh when they had my car last week they told me that all loaner were out which wasn't the case they didn't want to give me one as I found out later because of the work they were doing I live 1/2 away this dealership lied from the beginning worst one I ever dealt with ! scams lies and dishonesty for sale It is difficult for me to leave a review without my personal feelings but I feel like I need to list only the facts on this one. They have two radio ads going. One says they match your down payment up to $4500 and the other says they will give you a minimum of $2500 for your trade. I know if something is too good to be true then it probably isn't true at all. I also wish I would have recorded my previsit phone conversation with the sales person. I called and asked the sales person on the phone about the promotion. I even specified the car I wanted and asked if the promotion would be valid on that vehicle. She assured me that it was fine. So okay I make an appointment to come down. It's about 45 minutes from where I live with traffic. I showed up and was greeted by the wolves. Once I asked for a specific sales person they all scattered. I met with the sales lady who was so sure about the $4500 match on the phone now all of the sudden had to check with the manager. She came back and told me that it was only $1000 on that car. They also wanted to appraise my trade at that point. My question is why would you need to appraise the trade when I'm obviously bringing in a car that is less than the minimum trade. This is a classic scam. They hold the car all the while selling the new one. I did not give up the car to them even though I was asked several times. She kept having to go back and forth with the sales manager to discuss the things I was asking. (if you are a sales person, you should be given the authority to get to your bottom price without having to keep checking with the sales manager what a waste of time) I was going to leave when she wanted to introduce me to the manager which was a big mistake. On the Nissan website, the msrp on the vehicle I wanted is 17,590. The manager first told me he would give me a special price 17,800. I explained the MSRP on the website. He then proceeded to show me a "store made" invoice of the costs one of which included a market assessment fee. Anyone who knows scams knows that this is one. He also continuously told me how much he'd be saving me per month . Another scam. Consumers should only be dealing with the price of the vehicle period. Telling people the monthly payments or how much they will save per month distracts the consumer from focusing on the real price of the vehicle (nice try didn't work on me). Besides I'm a cash paying customer! Why would I even be concerned about monthly payments. The worst part of my whole experience and the reason I will never go back to this dealership is the way sales manager Sal talked down to my salesperson Sonia. He told her right in front of me that she wasn't a good sales person because she couldn't sell me a car. I was completely disgusted by that. He also kept telling me they wanted to get the keys to my car so they could appraise it. HA! No way! Good Try! After my experience, I needed to see how their reviews here were. I turned to YELP, but due to my experience here I also looked at the BBB. I think I've also got a complaint now to the BBB. They've had 34 complaints to the BBB and still have an A+ rating. How is that even possible??? Even if they were all resolved, that is at least 34 people who had such a horrible experience (and spent money) at this dealership they felt the need to actually notify the BBB.
