This is the third pre-owned minivan I've purchased from Mitchell Chrysler Dodge. And each time my experience gets better. And so do the cars! As always, they were incredibly helpful in my request to completely remove the second and third row seats from the vehicle. I travel extensively with a van and work in disaster response. Do not bother calling this dealership. Took three calls to get a call back. Called to get price to replace clutch. Simple - Standard Repair. They would not give a price without seeing the vehicle, and charging a diagnostic fee. Rather frustrating since car needs to be towed because the clutch is blown. This business practice just makes it difficult for consumers to find the best price. It would be great if everyone would boycott Auto Shops that won't give quotes for specifically requested service. Mitchell group will never sell me or my family a car or provide service. I will warn anyone who asks me, and send them to another shop. read more

If there was an option to select zero stars for this dealership's service department, I'd have selected it in a heartbeat. They charged me $550 for a "front control module" in my Jeep - per their own technician's advice - which did nothing to rectify the problem it was supposed to fix. Their service manager then refused to refund that unnecessary expense to me, or give me a credit for all or some of the $550 against labor or another part that (purportedly) will ultimately fix the problem. Find another place to service your vehicle if you don't like to be separated from your hard-earned income for no reason.... UPDATE #1: The General Manager for this dealership has agreed to write off the cost of the unnecessary part and charge only for the diagnostic work previously performed - the correct call - much appreciated. Upgrading to 3 stars based on this; however, this could have been a 4 or 5 star review if they had just done right by me in the first place instead of elevating my blood pressure to an unhealthy level. UPDATE #2: Well, what do you know. We're back to one star again. Dropped off my Jeep this morning to have the "correct" part installed (we'll see), and inquired about the $550 that still hadn't been credited back to my card. Now I am being told the dealership agreed to absorb only the cost of the "correct" part and the labor to install it, but not the totally unnecessary part for which I'd already paid and the associated diagnosis time (which led to the wrong part being ordered in the first place). Worst dealership I have ever used, and they didn't used to be. My family has trusted them for years and purchased 7 cars from them. Something has changed in the last two years, especially with service since Jean is no longer there. Yesterday my wife was in a minor accident that could have been far more serious if it wasn't for a snow bank and guard rail. Mitchell hasn't been bothering to keep us up to date on the status of the tires and they were bald. We take it in for oil changes regularly a day were relying on them to watch the tires, especially since we bought them from them. In addition, both my mother and sister have had issues with the service department. They used to care about their customers and really believed in the Chrysler 5-star dealer program and now they couldn't care less. I will NEVER return to them for anything. After hearing from Brett, I was hopeful for a resolution but was not given one, in fact I was condescended too and treated like a child. One of the many things I was told was that they would make the "report card" of the cars status easier to read, even though I wasn't given one and I told her about this. The issue wasn't with any paperwork I received, it was because of the poor service they gave and the fact the claim the condition of the tires weren't a factor but "even new tires can slip in this weather". After waiting a week to get an appointment for an oil change, I waited for over two hours at this dealership for the service to be completed. The cashier/advisor was rude and curt with several customers. The only redeeming factor was how clean my car was when they returned it to me. read more

Moved to the area about a year ago. Both my keys batteries were dying. I replaced one immediately when received the message on my dashboard. Upon replacing it my keys remote entry and auto start didn't work anymore. When called this place for assistance and stopped by- each time they seemed annoyed to even help a customer, told me one key did not work at all-had lost all function and there would be a charge to figure out what was wrong. I decided to go to the dealer I purchased the car from (an hour and 15 min away). They helped me in 10 minutes with a $13 charge. Not sure why Simsbury couldn't have done the same thing for me. Would not go here again. Unfriendly staff and from what I can see dishonest and potentially scammers. read more

Great experience with Paul in the service department. Had oil change, tires rotated. He called me about the air filter. Based on our conversation I elected not to do it but he was helpful in my making this decision. He did not make up some bs to get me to have additional work done. read more

I contacted internet sales manager Steve regarding a certified used Jeep. We ended up not making a deal, but he was very reasonable, easy to work with, responsive, and most importantly straight forward. Sadly, It is difficult to tind these qualities in a dealer. While I did not purchase the Jeep, I would absolutely recommend that dealership and will continue to watch their inventory to see if something else catches my eye. read more

I just bought a Certified Pre-Owned Jeep from Mitchell and was satisfied with the sales Service. Both JP and Stuart were very knowledgable and personable and were a tremendous help. The sale manager Steve was a nice guy and straightforward, however he did spend a little too much time trying to sell extended warranties and add-ons for my taste, but he was very helpful and cordial non-the-less. Prices were also competitive and I got a very fair offer on a trade in. Mitchell is reputable name with a high standard and the employees understand that. I do not have any experience though dealing with their car service and repair department. read more

I contacted the service department at Mitchel Chrysler, Dodge, Ram and the representative was rude and short with me. He did not go out his way to try to find me the needed part or a more convenient time slot. So much for trying to go out of the way for the customer. This is not the first time I have ever have contacted them and it is certainly not the first time they were rude. I will take my business elsewhere and suggest everyone else do the same. They are in it for the $$$$$$$$ instead of forging lasting business relationships.. read more
