I would give 100 stars if I could. Dr. Larosa is the kindest person on this planet. My sweet kitten…read moreswallowed a foam math cube I must have accidentally brought home from work (I'm a first grade teacher). So I took her to my vet, who confirmed there was an obstruction. My vet doesn't do those kids of surgeries so I was told to go to Jersey Shore (where the young man vet there was incredibly forthright and compassionate. I know they're an emergency room so I expected emergency room prices but they quoted me "best case $9-10k. It could be more" depending on the difficulty of extraction. I just spent $10,000 this past year on surgeries on my dog and I couldn't financially do another $10,000 in the same year. (Yes I have now learned my lesson and gotten pet insurance). Anyway, I left there in tears, called some vets and was told about Dr. Larosa. It was already late. I called True Care and told them what happened. They squeezed me in, were a fraction of the original quoted price and was treated like I was a personal friend. My cat Moonstar has never been better and I am not riddled with credit card debt! I cannot begin to explain the rollercoaster ride of emotions that day from confusion (wtf did she eat? Anything? Just a virus?) to sadness (she really did eat something), to hope (here we go to JS!), to devastation (10k+!), and to end the day with relief and faith restored. Thank you Dr. Larosa. Kind of not related, but thanks to him I also now have a tarantula!

The people are amazing... Dr Larossa is absolutely fabulous! Everyone is so caring and committed to…read morethe health of my girl.... I always know there is help. Only one phone call away no matter what my situation is. They're always there... Definitely the best in the business besides the fact that the facility is immaculate and very welcoming, the staff is always friendly and ready to listen and help. I would never go anywhere else.

I've been going to this Vet. for the last 4.5 years and although they are more expensive than any…read morevet in the area, I always had a good experience with them until today. I had scheduled an appointment to have my dog's nails trimmed because she can be very difficult and requires sedation. I was told that if they were unable to cut her nails, more sedation would be required and possibly putting the dog under anesthesia. During the visit the doctor was incredibly rough and at no point did he stop to suggest that more sedation is needed. Once he finished cutting my dog's nails, I had noticed that her nail was bleeding at the base. I made the doctor aware, he took a look at it and he said "she would be fine and there's nothing to worry about." 2 days later as I'm walking my dog I noticed she was limping and found her nail to be completely ripped out and bleeding. Once I stopped the bleeding I called the vet immediately to make an appointment. I was told that I could not be seen for 4 days and that I would be responsible for the bill. They referred me to Garden State Vet. This is completely unprofessional and I am shocked that this is how they treat their customers. I would not recommend this place to anyone!

I am very disappointed in this vet hospital. This was my first time using them. My dog was coughing…read moreshe was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection" and they gave her a couple of different pills to take. My bill was very expensive. A few weeks later my dog is still coughing so the medicine didn't work. My bill was fairly high and now working with them and the insurance company is very frustrating. They refuse to send me the soap notes, therefore the insurance company needed to ask for a request, which they asked weeks ago. I had to call multiple times on top of my insurance company calling multiple times for the soap notes. They still have not sent the soap notes over to the insurance company and we are going on a month after she was seen. Every day is another excuse! Now I will be going over to the vet in person to speak to someone. I will not be using them ever again. My other vet sent me the soap notes the minute I asked for them which I downloaded onto my insurance app and I got paid the next day.
