She will write a paper script, but only on her terms-- and in my case, her terms cost me $100 in savings because she was so unreasonable. I have always been happy for 14 years with the services given to my dog Mickey. The staff was always pleasant. On August 15th my Mickey had a seizure and became unresponsive. I became hysterical and while in my car made a phone call to my vet saying that Mickey was in an emergency situation and I was on my way to the facility. I was told they were TOO BUSY to see him and I should take him to Brick or Toms River hospital. I am 80 yrs old and my mind couldn't even think of where another hospital was at this time. I called my son-in-law and he told me I was close to VCA Toms River Vet and to take him there. They went above and beyond for both my dog and myself. Unfortunately, I had to put my Mickey over the rainbow bridge. I was devastated. I felt that Calling all Creatures had no respect for me or my dog who were loyal clients for over 14 yrs. My dog and I deserved to be with the people who we knew and trusted. I expected that they would have called me on Monday to see how I Mickey was doing. I heard nothing from them. On Wednesday I finally received a call but only because unknown to me my granddaughter sent a letter speaking up on my behalf. I expressed how hurt, upset and devastated I was for what they did to my Mickey. They had no compassion or caring for him in his time of need. This was and is unacceptable to me. No pet who is in their care should ever be treated with such disrespect. My disappointment for the way we were treated will cause me never to put another pet in their care. read more

I have been going to Calling All Creatures for several years,now. Never a problem existed, until April 15th, 2021.My golden doodle,Barney,had all of his shots by Dr Cimer. He still needs his rabies shot...... He failed to tell us to come back within "two weeks". The cost of an office call is 72.00 but was lowered to 42.00. Because he failed to tell us to come back within his two week period, we felt the fee should be waived. He told us that he no longer owns the business and that it belongs to "corporate". He explained that he was getting to old, and he made the move a few years ago. I could not find proof of this anywhere. He has been the owner of that facility for 18 years,and Dr,Cimer has always been the owner. read more

As a consumer, I would like to be adequately informed about services before giving my money to any business. Unfortunately I did not do my research before taking my dog here. If you google search calling all creatures you find negative reviews, and I can see why now. I am going to try my best to be as objective as I can be in this review. First off, I took my dog(Yorkie) to this veterinarian after he developed some sort of ear infection. We went to multiple visits spending over a thousand dollars on checkups, lab tests, steroids, antibiotics, and ear drops. The doctor said there was nothing he could do to cure the infection and he could just reduce pain. He was wrong because I eventually healed one of his ears and doing better with his other ear by directing his plan of care and ear regimen myself. If anyone else is having a problem like this with their dog please feel free to message me and maybe I can help. I just don't believe the vet did his due diligence in finding a solution for my dog. In addition, the service here and patient experience is not to my standard. I work in healthcare myself so I know protocol and how to treat patients. The one time I went my appointment was for 2:30. I arrived 15 minutes early to be polite. 2:40 came so I asked the receptionist politely, how much longer. After talking to a tech, she said he was still looking at X-rays from a patient before. Something that is not an emergency should not cut into patient time. They said at most 10 minutes, so when he wasn't ready in 10 minutes I left. My dog was in no emergency so I did not want to stay any longer and we'd find another place. Please don't come here and waste your time and money on doctors who are not competent and knowledgeable in treating their patients. They have lost any effort in trying and just relying on patients being informed about their rights to rip people off. And not provide the highest level of care. I recommend if you are in toms river to take your pet to VCA toms river animal hospital. Go to brick or even Monmouth county for the health and well being of your loved ones. I do not believe the vets here are dedicated to the mission of providing the most up to date medical knowledge and current evidence based practice to care for your animal. read more

I love Calling All Creatures! The vets here have taken care of my pets for years. The staff always shows how much they love animals, and they treat my cat and dog like they are princesses. the staff is always attentive,sweet, and helpful, and when I had to put my cat of 13 years to sleep, they cried with me. My dog is never afraid to see the vet, and she is always treated with care and compassion. My cat...well I can't say that she likes to be anywhere but home, but she's still treated nicely at her vet's office! read more

Horrible!!!! They fought me on wanting a different medication for my dogs allergies when I wasn't seeing results, would not notify me that they do not deal petmeds, chewy, etc even though by law they cannot accept a fax from a customer, only a vet, and what a money grab!! Unnecessary tests and guilt trips if I said no! And let's not mention the pricing!! Only to never get an answer and need oh wait! Another expensive test to get nothing. It would help if maybe they were fast and efficient but wrong again! Appointment is at 4? You'll be there until 5:30 easily. Run from this place asap!! read more

My ferret was being his clumsy and sneaky little self and he got hurt. To be more specific, slid right under my boyfriend's foot & I was SOO worried he may have had a fractured pelvis from the way he was dragging his back feet. I sent them an online inquiry and they called me the second they opened. I got him there as quickly as possible and the entire staff was genuinely friendly and helpful .. the vet was GREAT. He was very thorough and very swift with helping him and made sure to give him something for the pain. My ferret ended up having a fractured leg. Definetly was not satisfied with my experience. I took my guinea pig here because I believe he was having stomach issues. This was my first time bringing him to a vet, so I was not sure what to expect. The doctor said he was looking good, and automatically put him on an antibiotic to treat any internal infections he may have that are not showing externally. Of course I listened, being It seemed that he knew what he was doing. 2 days went by and my guinea pig still was not eating or drinking. We took him to another hospital, and come to find out that he should not have been put on antibiotics, especially if they had no idea what was going on inside. And to make it even worse, they gave a plant eating animal a meat based medicine!!! I am not going to the animal hospital in Eaton town, and I would highly recommend it. read more

Had a really great experience here today. Despite the pandemic they are still seeing dogs and have a great system so very minimal interaction occur face to face, which I really appreciate being an ER nurse. I really loved how personable everyone was. It was our first time here for an emergency appointment. I am pleased that this facility has openings for emergency appointments which my current vet did not. We will be making the switch to this facility. Doc was super personable and answered all my questions. I feel they are very reasonably priced for someone paying for an emergency visit without pet insurance. I was very disappointed today with the staff at calling all creatures. I have 3 dogs and have been bringing my dogs to them for approximately 10 years. My oldest dog was recently prescribed pain meds, I brought him in for an exam and blood work. I first purchased the pain meds from them then realized it was pretty costly so I called pet meds and the price was more reasonable. So I called calling all creatures asked if they could please fax the script to pet meds and they said no it's against their policy. I said, please, I've spent a lot of money over the years with your business, can you please do this for me... They said no. I then said I was going to find another vet and they said ok. So I had all my fur babies paperwork faxed to the new vet, discussed their policy regarding pet meds, interesting because the new vet will not fax to pet meds either, however they will match their price. read more

You must give this hospital a try! The staff there love my animals and treat them like their own. Dr Cimer was pleasant and caring. The hospital is immaculate and very comfortable. I didn't wait very long at all for my appointment and after being put in the room, the Dr came right in. I took my dog in for an exam and the front staff was nasty to me. The techs have an attitude too. I wanted time with the doctor, but got a quick exam and in comes the tech to finish up the appointment. I knew more then him.
