From apples to Brita pitchers to shoes to beer and liquor!! You can find it all here. They've improved the bakery over the years and they do have a nice specialty dips and cheese section. We recently tried the Fredrik's Meijer brand frozen pizzas and they were awesome! The crust was so crispy and delicious as were the toppings. One of the things that has changed over the years is the number of employees that work the lanes. Hopefully you love to self check out these days because that's pretty much what you're going to find.

This was the worst experience ever I got here as fast as I could got here at 11:55 and got to the register by 11:59 so I should've been able to check out!!!! I couldn't find where the stuff was at one worker didn't exactly know and the product was still being unboxed, and the lady had to open it for me so if it wasn't for the store, not buying enough stock of items knowing it's summer and there's a lot of flies out and people will definitely be buying them all up, then I would've gotten my stuff in time(.) By the way the text says "Oh no! What could improve?"Maybe the managers or corporate to be smart enough to buy enough stock because eventually you'll need them anyways, so why not spend all the money? Idk but I'm pissed I have to sleep without getting what I need! And there was a mom and her poor kid so sad to not get the toy she picked out and the food they needed for the night so messed up!

A diamond in the rough and a great place for delicious treats…read more We were visiting Lincoln's hometown of Springfield, Ill and wanted to get a snack. We found this place online. It is a little south of the city and west of the interstate but it is absolutely worth the detour. It is a rustic place called the Apple barn and parking is right in front. Their website gives a lot more information about it being more than just the main shop that is in the barn. They began as a family apple orchard and expanded over the years into a collection of attractions including two restaurants, a general store, a creamery, a winery, a candy factory, and a Christmas shop, all centered around the original barn built in 1910. We only visited the barn with the bakery goodies and the very friendly staff who helped us get some delicious snacks for the trip back to the hotel. It was great! Even if you don't plan to buy anything, it's worth taking some time to visit to get a snack for your trip or, if you are going to walk around the site, for the extra visit. We found it to be one of the more enjoyable stops to the area capping off a great visit to the Springfield, Ill area.

Deli worker was eating ham while slicing ham... called her out to wash her hands and change her gloves and im the one in the wrong?? Then she takes a phone call with her gloves on, wipes her face and proceeded to return to work. She is clearly trying to get someone sick with deli meat. Shame. Produce department is dirty. We go through a fair amount of produce each week, so when I heard about Wayne's I decided to give it a try - hoping for both better prices and better quality. I was totally blown away! It's incredibly well-kept and well-organized, and they have a ton of items that IGA doesn't. My favorite part is the "value bags" they have available - for just $19.95, you get a reusable tote bag filed with all types of fruits and vegetables. Check out the photo I uploaded... you won't believe how much I actually got for the price! It made us try new things we don't always eat, too. They also have a butcher attached, fresh local eggs, dairy, and more. One thing to note: if you're using a credit card, it does have to be for over $15.
