I adore this place. I tend to eat fairly healthy, and this store makes it easy, for a fair price. Plus I love knowing that I'm buying local. Some things I've really appreciated: They sell spinach in individual ziplock bags so you can purchase a smaller amount. I hate spending 3-4 bucks on a container at the grocery store and having to throw away half of it because I can't finish it, and then feel like I wasted the $. Spending only a buck fifty, I can buy a reasonable amount and not have my feelings hurt if I accidentally forget about it. The meat I've purchased has been incredibly fresh. Seriously. Chicken breasts: phenomenal. Flank steak: scrumptious. Italian sausage: never tasted fresher. No joke. They offer gluten free mixes, spices, and lunch meat. I haven't purchased any of these things, but I do eat gluten free, so knowing the option there is nice. Can't say enough good about this place. Glad I stumbled upon it. Keep up the good work. FYI: credit card purchases for $10 and up only. But for real, support the little guy and pay cash. Visa doesn't need anymore monies.

Only place in town that has Tri-Tip every time. The only place that has it day in and day out! Fabulous cut of meat!

We had never been here but decided to give their Easter Buffet a try. They opened at 9 and there…read morewas a short line. After they opened, the line moved fairly quickly. They had breakfast food first and the eggs and bacon were wonderful -- no scorched eggs here! The hash brown casserole was also good. They had a salad bar, but we were more interested in breakfast food. There was a carving station with ham and prime rib. Both were very good, although I would have preferred the prime rib to be less done. There was another station that had boiled shrimp. It was cold, very fresh, and delicious. Their bakery items were wonderful. My favorite was the chocolate croissants. They had cakes, cookies, and a large variety of sweets. The buffet was $25, but the only drink that came with that was water. If you wanted coffee or tea or cola, it was a generous extra charge. Their seating area was not very large and filled up quickly. I saw people going upstairs because there were no more seats in the restaurant area. We walked around checking out the groceries after we ate. Most items seemed to be more expensive than other grocery stores in the Springfield area.

The waitress did not come to our table, so we had to order our drinks from the bar ourselves, and go downstairs to order our own food. The waitress was more interested in looking at her phone than working. The bartender wasn't very helpful either. Even though I was the only one ordering at the bar I had to wait 5 minutes to order. We always order the Flatbread pizza which is excellent. Because the waitress wouldn't wait on us I had to go downstairs and order. The food was good but it took 30 minutes for it to be delivered. The Tom Petty cover band was good, the live music kept everyone entertained. The service was terrible, food and entertainment was good. Oh, the draft beer was $8, which is a little high.

While Food Fantasies has a great selection of foods, their prices are prohibitively high. But y'all…read moreknow that already. Some things are decently priced, like the bakery in the back and the bulk section. But today is my last trip to FF for the duration of this pandemic unless major changes in health policy are made with the staff. No one wears a mask, no staff practices social distancing, they work in close proximity (inches!) of each other without any protective gear, and they openly wonder about the merits of social distancing. Staff will walk into your personal space when focused on another customer. The store is cramped and so social distancing is difficult to practice with other shoppers. I don't want the staff to get sick. I want a unique local business to survive. But I don't feel safe shopping there, and I also don't want to support a health food store that won't actually engage in proper emergency public health policies! If the price is good for you, then take advantage of their curbside pickup, pay over the phone, call them to say you're outside, but don't go inside. It doesn't feel safe.

I truly love this place! They have a large variety of 'specialty' items to suit your needs. I enjoy…read moretheir bulk section too, because I can grab smaller amounts of beans, flour, nuts etc for a recipe rather than buying a large bag. They have great customer service and yes their prices are slightly higher, but I enjoy shopping local when I can.
