The car was 2017 - how would there still be a note and I have the original copy of the pay off letter. Just plan on being there 3 to 4 times to finally get your car registered in California.

And the worse is that unless you have an appointment your not getting nothing done that day. I was the first person in the door when they first opened and they told me that what I needed to get done could not get done in person and that they were scheduling me a phone appointment because what I need done can only be done over the phone now. The next day very early in the morning I get a call from the SSA telling me that my phone appointment was being changed to a in person appointment because I needed to do it in person. A day before I received a text reminding me of my appointment. When I arrived to the Social Security office I checked in using my mobile phone from the text I received to check in. Then they text me my ticket number. Once my ticket number was called I received another text with the window number to go to. The guy at the window was super friendly saw my documents and told me I should receive my new card in 2 weeks. He also informed me that after 24 hours their system will be updated with my new name and I could go to the DMV to process my new Driver License with my updated name. The entire process took 15 min. It was super fast and I love how easy they have made it with the update text messages.
