Today at my visit to the Westland Secretary of State at approximately 4:25pm, I had been helped by Ms. Nalani who was at the front door greeting everybody with a smile. After speaking with Ms. Nalani I quickly realized she was unlike the other 3 SOS workers I had spoken with from the other nearby city's, she was not robotic and dull Ms. Nalani actually shown personally and a love for what she does. Ms. Nalani and I had a brief conversation that showed how much she cared about her work, also telling me how she enjoys being able to help and provide the state's services to people. Ms. Nalani had then stated that she could not only provide me with an appointment for my visit but she could schedule it that same day at 4:40pm. In my visit it was great to see a welcoming face and someone who isn't just a program but a person, who cares, and I will say Ms. Natali had not just made my appointment for 4:40pm, she had also made my day.

Inkster City Hall is easy to navigate - once you know where you are going. The Tax Increment Finance Authority (TIFA) Meeting Room is spacious. It is put to good use for other community activities as well. The Inkster City Hall features several large meeting rooms. Each one is accoutered with large tables and plenty of comfortable chairs. The rooms are large enough to allow participants to move around during the work, either to exercise, mingle or perform side meetings. The grounds are kept neat and clean. Parking is adequate. There is additional parking available along side streets. The neighborhood is quiet. I especially like the fact that the building is located on a side street and not on a busy motorway. It makes it easy and pleasant to access. The feeling is very much small town with the advanced, modern, timeless architecture allowing the well deserved impression of accuracy, capability and security. Altogether a nice building to see and visit with grounds and a neighborhood nice for a walk.

Really nice and multi-ethnic suburb to the northwest of Detroit - it's a little bit far out but it has some cool stuff here and my pasty shop is here - the one I just reviewed recently, Superior Pasties - and just in general I like this part of town. It's not as fancy and as rich as some of the suburbs, but then it's also not nearly as rundown as Detroit itself. Yet still has some nice character, unlike a lot of the burbs of MI. I come here on a regular basis whenever I'm in town and usually get food and pizza and some other good stuff. Really friendly people around here as well which surprised me. At least some of them were. And you can't say that about the whole region. So to summarize - A very rich and old school European suburb in the north part of Detroit with all kinds of enjoyable food gems and definitely one of the more interesting areas. It is located the Northwest and has some special places that not enough people visit.
