Librarians were available if needed and one team member provided insight when I inquired about a particular resource. The books and movies within the Northville collection is quite vast which was exciting to explore. The check-out system is straight forward. A variety of seating options are available on all levels of the library where individuals or groups are likely to find a spot to gather. My favorite is the fireplace area! Parking lot is spacious and easy to navigate.

The librarians are friendly, and the reading and studying spaces are clean and get lots of natural light. I like that there are study rooms for both large groups as well as for one person or two people that can be reserved for up to two hours. Other libraries only have study rooms for groups and have the right to kick out one person using the room. Northville Library is small compared to other cities, but it's inviting, quiet, and relaxing. I prefer it to other libraries in the area.

The Canton Historical Museum has a lot of potential. It is located in a one room school house on…read morethe grounds of the Canton Charter Township government complex. The materials they have displayed are few. Many of the items are from the later part of the time period that the schoolhouse served. The interpretive items are interesting but the materials associated with them are very short or non-existent. There didn't seem to be too many programs associated with the schoolhouse either. I had waited some time to be able to get into the venue because the hours are limited. I was rather disappointed by the offering and I will visit again in the future to see what has been added and changed. The area has a very rich historical perspective to draw from and I hope to see more that incorporated in the future.

It is situated right in front of Canton's Municipal Buildings, in an old one room schoolhouse. It is small, so we expected to spend 15-20 minutes tops, but it was very interesting, we spent close to an hour there! The volunteer was very welcoming, explaining the history and exhibits to us, even letting my little ones ring the old school bell, which they really enjoyed. Admission is free, but donations are accepted. The exhibits change every few months to my understanding, so we'll definitely be back!

The free park is available to anyone which is standard in most parts and the country. The main park requires registration more detailed than the requirements for voting. I suppose that all the rules make the dog owners confident that their pets are less likely to contract disease. Registration is now available on line. Overall the park is located in a flood area and is not accessible several times a year and is muddy a lot. Water and doggie bags are available. Needless to say mosquitoes are abundant.

Water is available for the dogs, and there's a small shelter for the people. The park is large enough for my dogs to really stretch their legs.
