We get excited when we head here for lunch or dinner - you would think we are little kids going to the toy store. I actually have food cravings for their all-you-can eat pinto beans and fresh cut french fries. The burgers are big and flavorful, never dry. Great all around. Service is friendly and fast; they treat you like family. We usually eat at off hours so the dining area is never too busy which makes chit chatting with the crew easy. What a great local place! You come in, stand in line, and place your order. The hickory burger is the top seller, but I went straight down the middle: bacon cheeseburger. The burger came out surprisingly fast, but it was hot and delicious, and cooked well. At the end of the line, the fries were fresh from the grease, and all you can eat! Pro Tip: Grab a small handful while they are hot, and then come back when the next person orders, to get MORE Hot and Fresh! They also have 2 big pots of beans, all you can eat! The beans are one batch, two pots, so you don't have to worry about which is which. We also had a killer chicken fried steak! It's one of the best chicken fried steak in town, and they also have a CFS sandwich (for you ol' school kids). Painfully mediocre burger absolutely smothered in bbq sauce (to the point it was impossible to pick it up cleanly). The burger itself was really dry and whatever flavor it has gets completely overpowered by the sauce. The fries were fine- nothing to write home about though. I went through the drive through to get the meal. The service was actually kind and fast! It's just unfortunate that it's for mid food. Because of this though, I don't have any notes on ambiance. I'd say *maybe* I could give their other food a chance, but the other stuff on the drive thru menu didn't really look any more appetizing. I won't be back though. The food is great! We travel 20 miles to get the best hamburgers around. I love their Hickory burger. With other restaurants you are lucky to get half a teaspoon of hickory sauce. At County Road you can get a teaspoon if you want, but I choose the ladel version, chopped onions, and loads of shredded cheese. The onion rings are the best of all restaurants we visit. The french fries are good especially with the Denton Dirt spices. I really want to try their chicken fried chicken, chicken fried steak, and hotdogs but I constantly get pulled away by my love for their hamburgers. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Came in with my family and food was really good but what stood out was the understanding and kindness of the employees. I have a child with special needs and she was being a bit loud and tough to deal with and the employees changed the TV (without us asking) and were very helpful and understanding. We walked in and were warmly greeted by the owners and her family. The vibes were different. It's a Country Texas theme. The Lady that took our order suggested we try her beans. She said they were really good and she 100% told the truth. The beans had some flavor like someone Grandmother cooked it. It's all you can eat beans and fries and a lot of condiments to choose from. The fountain drinks were good and strong. The burger's were juicy and full of flavor. I haven't had a burger that good in a long time. We will definitely be back. One thing I am glad is that they moved to a building that has ample parking spaces. Burgers are fresh and with their open kitchen you can see them cook the burgers. Fries are fresh (like another reviewer stated) and get as much as you can. Depending on the time of day service is really fast from order to check out with your food. Smoke from the grill will sometimes move into the dining area. I know this is probably because they're cooking a lot of burgers at one time. At least when I was walking out I didn't smell like the smoke or the burgers they were cooking like I do when we grill/smoke at home. read more

I recall a review about the hamburger patty being on a warmer. I enjoyed the beef patty and the bun parts of the cheeseburger. Their temperature were okay. Unfortunately, their combined temperature was not warm enough to melt the shredded cheddar cheese. It was as if a large wedge was placed between the bun and the patty. I have been searching for a great hamburger, for a while. Yesterday I had to take the granddaughter to softball and finally she tells me she wanted a burger. So researching the web I found the DCIH. Well the reviews say it's inexpensive (not cheaply made), ok check 1. The people are super friendly (not butt munches, or jerks) check 2. The ambience is pretty decent (not a dump) check 3. So we went, we'll miss picky (my 13 yo granddaughter) wolfed down her burger and fries before I could get a picture and than asked me to get her another one (I said no). But the reviews were spot on! The food is awesome, the people that work there are family nice, the ambience is pretty nice. So go there and watch them pour a bunch of cheese on your burger, scoop your own fries and help yourself to a cup of beans (which I rarely eat but put them away). I recently tried this place for the first time. I must admit, I was a bit disappointed. I'd heard great things about the food, but I found my burger pretty unremarkable. It was only good, but I'd expected it to be amazing from what I'd heard and from what I paid. I got a hickory burger with bacon. The patty was quite thick and a bit dry. The bacon was in full strips hanging off the burger a couple inches on each side. I had to tear them in half and rearrange them to spread them evenly over the patty. Also, the burger had an unreasonable amount of cheese that was mostly unmelted, and the whole thing was swimming in bbq sauce. Overall, the burger was good, but not great. The fries were pretty good. Out of 5 Stars, I would give this place 10! This is absolutely the best burger joint in North Texas. Old fashioned Flame Grilled burgers and all you can eat unlimited fresh cut fries and beans. They've been in business in Denton, TX for longer than I've been alive, and they moved locations about 15 years ago. They used to be next door to Beth Marie's, but that's not an issue since they've brought some of that with them, to their (new) location. There's a freezer for Beth marie ice cream for anyone who prefers to make that a part of this amazing experience. On top of all that, they have a wonderful friendly staff, and they are very quick to have your food ready. I highly recommend everyone that hasn't tried this restaurant to eat here immediately, you will regret missing out on this kind of experience. The people that posted low star reviews would prefer a McDonald's burger with American cheese over a fresh real burger with real cheese. read more
