To put in perspective: Home Depot installed the highest end Simonton windows possible with the specs requested and came in at around $7k installed. Which means that HomeSealed has excessive profits padded in. So...if you don't care about the money side, they might be perfectly fine to work with as a local outfit. EDIT: laminated was requested as a cost compare option, not a requirement. Even if laminated were a requirement, Home Depot's was still cheaper by over $3k. Fact is - as we said - HomeSealed is just priced higher because they don't use every manufacturer, they only use the ones they use, which tend to lean the higher cost. That's what we said: they might be fine at their job and you might want the best of whatever, maybe they're fine. BUT...if you're like 95% of homeowners who feel that significant pricing differences for basic things like colors is illogical, HomeSealed isn't for you.

This included removing the old basement carpet glue (really wanted that GONE not covered!), grinding and repair of severely damaged concrete, the garage stair, the verticals, and all completely waterproof. The crumbling concrete on the garage verticals is so beautiful now! My 50 yo garage concrete looks showroom pretty now. They subcontracted the work, which I wasn't fully informed about upfront, and the quality of the work clearly reflected that decision. The attention to detail was lacking, and even today, if you closely inspect my home, you can still see the inconsistencies in the work. When I reached out to the company to express my concerns--not only about the aesthetic issues but also about water spots and condensation forming on my ceiling--their response was slow. Jeff quickly dismissed my concerns, suggesting I get a second opinion if I wasn't satisfied with their work or that I could refer to the installation instructions. Upon reading the instructions, I found that their contractor hadn't fully completed the job, which added more items to the list. They agreed to come back to make repairs, but the crew that arrived simply removed most of the tape I had placed and poorly applied globs of caulk around my home. I requested another walk-through of my home, and they sent Jordan out. While he was more pleasant and professional, he was still slow to respond and made me feel as though I was asking too much. As of today, four months after the initial work was completed, they've fixed what they could, applied a lot of caulk, and hope they've found the cause of the leak on my ceiling but have failed to address the condensation that forms down an entire exterior wall. Here's to putting this project behind me, while I'll have to learn to accept the poor workmanship, I'm just hoping I don't encounter issues down the road.

First, the work is completed by subcontractors, and while the quality is great, communication is lacking. Jobs are rushed, and details are overlooked. The second job JA HomeWorx completed was at our rental in Platteville for hail damage. The repairs involved replacing gutters, the roof, and some siding. Again, the quality of their subcontractors was excellent, but details were overlooked. The three main issues were that the window flashing was not the correct color, a gutter was placed incorrectly, and water meters were removed and thrown away. They did give me a credit for the incorrect flashing color and helped the city replace the water meters. The gutter issue wasn't fully resolved, but I accepted their solution after it was moved twice. I have attached pictures. The house did not have a gutter running down the front; their subcontractors installed the gutters without knowledge of where the original ones were located. They did make multiple trips to try and resolve this issue, but this job was rushed, and details were overlooked. Jordan admitted that this job was rushed to get it completed ASAP because we were selling the house. The third job was also for hail damage on a four-unit condo building. The one issue was I was promised that we would schedule the repairs so I could be onsite (I didn't want details overlooked again). I was very frustrated that I was not given any notification that repairs were going to be made and only became aware of them when notified by one of the owners who were home.

I can't say enough about Nold Electric. My house was damaged by a storm and had water coming in…read moreeverywhere. The initial water mitigation company I hired had an electrician and he never even noticed the dangerous electrical issues. I still had concerns and called Nold Electric. Kevin Nold came out and because of his experiencr, knew what questions to ask. Through his line of questioning he discovered our main breaker box had sustained significant water damage. He also pointed out that all the wiring (in the walls) that had been wet and needed to be replaced along with additional light fixtures. Nold electric did an outstanding job of putting in the new panel, lots and lots of wiring, new outlets, light fixtures, and switches. Kevin Nold was detailed and discussed the locations of each outlet to make sure it worked for our family. He even made suggestions to help save energy. Nold Electric even went above and beyond and surprised my daughter by installing an outlet up near her ceiling so she could string up her decorative lights(and he even connected it to a switch) at no charge . Laid back, honest hard working and actually cares about his customers. A genuinely nice person. He's been in the business for a long time and really knows his trade. Highly recommended!!!
