Extremely glad we chose Milestone for our water heater install. As soon as the heater was installed and filled, it had a high-pitched noise that we really did not think was normal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He spent a long time with tech support attempting to troubleshoot the problem.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Arrangements were made for a certified tech to come take some readings.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] While that tech confirmed the unit was "within dB rating specifications," they both agreed the noise was not something they (personally) would expect or tolerate. The company (Rheem) did agree to provide a replacement unit. The first unit was removed, the replacement was installed and was much better. Dan was over the top in terms of service to the customer. I agree with what many reviewers have said about MIlestone: They're great at explaining what's going on, what work they're going to do, and they're always available in an emergency. When I needed an urgent fix for a leaking hot water pipe in my basement, Milestone was the first to respond and seemed to have a competitive rate for the work. The problem came at the end of the repair when I was charged for the 30 minutes the repairman spent filling out paperwork in his truck **AND** the work order was rounded up to the nearest hour. My cost concerns were amplified when I took a bid for re-piping my basement. Milestone's bid to do the work with a less-expensive material was considerably higher than a competitive bid to do the work with copper. I can't fault MIlestone's workmanship or responsiveness, but you will pay a premium price for these. read more

We just had milestone plumbing come out for a clogged shower/tub drain. Kevin and Tyler made quick work of the issue. Since we do have hold pipes (house built in 1960) they assessed the situation and said the best way to fix this would be do take out the old pipes and add some new ones that have a better design and water flow. They said snaking the drain would take just as much time/money and wouldn't guarantee a fix. At first I was skeptical and thought they were upselling me, but I trusted them. less than 2 hours later the pipe was replaced and upgraded, and our shower/tub drain works perfectly. After a very unsatisfactory experience with another company, Mr Rooter, who didn't inspire confidence, talked of breaking thru walls!!..quoted ($$$) from some menu...& had me sign to accept before even diagnosing the problem.. all while saying he wouldn't guarantee to fix..expected payment after efforts failed to achieve resolution.. then left saying their company wouldn't allow sufficient parts to be carried on the truck.. They'd have to be ordered..I declined to have them return ( with yet more billing)...after 3 hrs of achieving nothing. The shower still dripped. No mention was made of waiving the truck fee. I then had Alex from Milestone come, he arrived with the needed parts...was very professional & pleasant & in just over an hour had the issue resolved.. he also contacted Koehler to have a replacement hose for my handheld delivered, gratis, to my home & will return , waiving the truck fee to install.. An itemized bill was presented AFTER the necessary work was completed.. Mr Rooter had directed me to go to a plumbing store & purchase the hose myself.. I highly recommend Alex & Milestone. Resorted to calling a plumber as "new" homeowners today, first time ever hiring a plumber...and we couldn't have been more thrilled with the service we got with our Milestone Plumbing, Inc. plumber. I observed gross brown water coming up from the utility sink in the basement this morning, with small chunks of greens...and determined this was a potential situation with our kitchen sink/garbage disposal. We tried plunging and used Drano but the clog didn't budge. And meant we couldn't use our kitchen sink, dishwasher, or washing machine with this clog effecting the utility sink. Having moved into this house just four months ago, I've been nervous about inheriting some potentially bad plumbing, especially since we've already had some "fixable" plumbing issues already. I called Milestone, and Kevin came out like immediately (not that it was an emergency, but he was running early on other appts he said). I happened to be at a meeting when Kevin arrived but my boyfriend, Joe, was at home. Joe said Kevin was super observant, thorough, and fixed the clog quickly and easily (Kevin answered all my boyfriend's questions too, with tips on how we can fix the clog ourselves next time, if need be). We both appreciated Kevin's thoughtfulness and willingness to go above and beyond things without rushing on to the next call. All of it made my day! I was expecting the worst. For starters, Josh was efficient, effective, and easy to talk to. Also, he was very knowledgeable and able to fix our problem quickly (clogged drain, but I tried doing some things on my own and was afraid that I caused more harm than good). We live in a 1950's tri-level that has come with it's fair share or quirks. This week our bath tub backed up while showering and the water would not drain. It was disgusting. We tried everything we could possible think of and it just led me to tears. Our contractor even came over to help out. We were thinking it was worse case scenario and a wall was going to have to ripped out. Milestone got us in next day and sent Alex over. He was unbelievably kind and calming. A growing independent, we've only had the best of service from this team - after being taken advantage of by a bigger company (Oak Creek Plumbing seriously overcharged us twice, did faulty installation once), and an individual plumber ("J.T." improperly installed the shower drain on an expensive remodel, costing expensive repairs to downstairs dining room). Milestone is not cheap, but is fair, their billing is transparent and honest, we've now had opportunity to find out for sure (in plumbing eventually errors and overcharges are revealed, though it takes time sometimes). The plumbers for Milestone are clearly skilled, but also personable, polite (they always cover shoes before entering my Asian-manners-shoeless abode), and efficient (I assign one of my cats to keep an eye on them, they report no goofing off on the clock). The main reason for the five star rating is Dawn who answers the phone. She can handle phone calls, texts, and e-mails, she's learned a lot about plumbing (so I'm guessing she's been there a while but pays attention to the plumbers), she can show PICs to the plumbers so they know to bring the right equipment or parts. I don't know why hospitals, pharmacies, veterinarians, and technical colleges can't operate like this, but maybe she should train them. Maybe most importantly she efficiently and efficaciously juggles the quicksand like schedules of plumbers who never really know how long any specific job is going to take until they get there. Unlike other places, she can give an accurate window ("you'll be the second call on Tuesday, so sometime late morning early afternoon, I'll call to update...." then, she does actually call to update, then again when the plumber is en route with an accurate e.t.a.). read more

We need their help because a pipe burst when you left the house over the winter and they came out and did a pretty good job I think the only issues were that it caught end up costing a lot more. Look around and get someone better. read more

I have water pouring from the ceiling of my lower duplex once or twice a week. I assume it is coming from the upstairs bathroom unit but I don't know for sure. I had the ceiling opened in the past but did not find any leaking pipes or water lines. I called and explained the problem to Milestone. They sent someone out to the unit to check. He looked at the upper and lower bathroom and advised me to have all of the old caulking in the bathtub area removed and ensure the area is cleaned and fully dry before re-caulking, specifically a corner area that had not been previously caulked at all. The cost was $125. Unfortunately this did not solve my problem at all. Water is still pouring from the ceiling. I called Milestone back and explained this to them, they indicated I don't have a plumbing problem and advised me to contact a carpenter or handyman. What a waste of time and money. Guess I have to find someone who is willing to open the ceiling or a wall to do a better assessment of where the water might be coming from. read more
