All three looked at and confirmed during their individual estimates that the breaker that Randy put in was incorrect and NEVER should have been left that way. The breaker wasn't completely set and was causing intermittent issues. The breaker was to a Sump Pump room in the basement and never would have been noticed had real professionals not taken a look at it. It is clear the breaker didn't fit. Randy tried to wedge it in and almost caused damage to both my panel and worse, my home should I have needed the pump to work. I tried to remedy this with Ray, the owner, who sent me a scathing - I am a rock star, google me, I'm out touring with bands do you know who these bands are because I'm important and if the guy I sent to do a job says it's done right - it is. When in reality, his guys mistake almost cost me a lot. Thankfully, one electrician swapped out the breaker at no cost as he was ashamed someone in the business would leave it like that. A swap that Randy told me would be 350 if he had to come back.

I have been looking for a new electrician for a while, it just so happened that I actually now needed one. I called around to ones that both google and Yelp suggested. Wow. It's scary out there. One electrician told me I needed a new electrical panel before he did any work at my home, mind you, he didn't know the job only the age of my home. Said guy was so confident I needed a new panel and my house was going to blow up if I didn't change it. Another electrician told me he would come out to look at the job but it was 250 just to have him show up. I made the mistake of telling a third electricians about he panel and that one basically told me he more than likely will need to replace the panel before doing work as my house is old, but he would give me an estimate for the actual job that he would do after doing a panel swap. Yikes. I'm still waiting on a fourth electrician, he was supposed to call me back two weeks ago. It doesn't matter though, I have an electrician now. Jim answered my call and made time for my concerns. Despite being busy, he arranged a day that worked on MY schedule not his own, that's very rare and such great service. Jim assessed the problem and provided me a reason, a solution and price. He told me exactly how the project would go and how long it would take. Jim also looked at my panel. Guess what? It's old, but each breaker worked and it was wired properly. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it except that a few electricians were trying to squeeze 5 grand or more out of me prior to the job I needed. Jim also was way under other electricians pricing for a panel swap. Jim and I agreed to a return date for the work. Once again, Jim worked off my schedule to accommodate me. After Jim left I wound up looking around the area where I lost power. I was very curious to where an outlet wire went to. In messing around with it, I wound up breaking the wire off from where a mouse chewed it. We had no idea a mouse chewed it as it was hidden in an awful area. This caused the live wire to begin to arc against a metal pipe it was near. I called Jim immediately - within minutes he was back and working in emergency mode to prevent a serious issue from escalating. Jim was able to deactivate the wire, figure out where it was wired to, what breaker to shut down and ensure the safety of my home. He was more than heroic that day; remaining calm, staying on point and working beyond accurate under immense stress. The day off was exactly as Jim explained and outlined. He did the work with precision. Jim took care to make the job perfect as well as look great. Jim did not cut corners. Jim tested the work repeatedly to ensure accuracy. At the end, Jim delivered exactly what he promised and it was incredible. A new electrical issue arose between the time Jim and I met and when the work was scheduled. Jim took additional time to diagnose a new problem that was pretty difficult to figure out. Jim took as much time as he needed to figure out the issue. He found it, fixed it and resolved it within the hour! I'm so happy to have found Jim. He is a phenomenal, trustworthy and fair electrician.

John is very quick to work and responsible on his price…read more I got a few quotes for my ev charger and honestly just need to put in a 240 volt for the garage. His quote is a lot more reasonable than any quote I can get on thumbtack or all those app out there. So far my installation is working perfectly for my Tesla. The home charger is honestly for the look and convenience. You can easily hook on yourself as long as you have the correct socket. Texting isn't a great thing to work with John. Just get on the phone and tell him what you need. He will be get it done ASAP. I finalize what I need in the morning and got what I need before noon. Looking forward in working with him on my other projects. Beside ev charger, he does all kind of electric work including know my current house. He repaired our cottage electric from a tree falling and everything is label nicely. His truck is pack with all kind of tool and fully stacked. John made a commitment to assess our electrical needs and did so. The first week of May, I called and spoke to Sue. She advised she would follow up with dates and times. By the end of May, I had not heard back - I called Sue and was told that John is very busy and my info is on her desk. A few weeks later I called as I had time off of work. Once again, Sue reminded me my information as on her desk and she would call me back after she checks his availability. After two months of not being called, I have moved on from trying to schedule with them. There was no apology or explanation. There was no estimated wait time. There was a sterile, we are busy and will get to you when we can. I called around locally to on other small businesses that did provide that. I'm not sure where the disconnect was with JM but it was a turn off. Sadly, as I have heard wonderful things about John.
