A picnic shelter with tables and a grill will definitely get some use. The entire park has a chain link fence around it to keep the little ones from wandering off and so you can see strangers approaching. Always a good thing. Baseball field with bleachers and a press box, basketball court, picnic tables, playground, a picnic pavilion and a walking track. All of it in quite good condition and fronted by a large paved parking lot. The baseball field is lighted and fenced, including protected dugout areas and bleachers on both sides. Very cool. There is also a nice walking track that loops around half of the park. This gave me the opportunity to see that the park is in great condition and I spotted no litter today. I liked that they had Kona on draft, I could get two beers here for the price of one at a MLB stadium. The bar on the 3rd base side weirdly didn't have any draft beer. Each section on has about 8-10 rows in, so no bad seats really. We came the second day of the season and was surprised that the restrooms weren't very clean, all the sanitation bins were full - which didn't make sense. The stadium also had a fishy smell to it which I didn't notice to begin with but about half way through I couldn't not smell it! Most fridays if not all are fireworks and they let you sit on the grass - nice little display with a good view. Would come back again, hopefully they sort the smell and cleanliness issues out. Got a first time certificate but they don't have any stickers or buttons - they did have some in the store but wanted $5 for a small button! Game times tend to run longer than MLB, it was about a 3hr game.

A paved trail that takes you to the dam, and Big Rocks Park. You walk across the dam to get to the big rocks! Oh, Master Gardeners also has their garden here. Also a short walk from the square, if you don't mind crossing the bridge the cars also use. Bottom line: Great diversion.

A nice little riverside park just east of historic, downtown Glen Rose- this park features a large,…read morelighted pavilion WITH FANS (amazing feature in TEXAS heat!!), walking trail, restroom, small flower/butterfly garden, a playground--part of which features a shade covering, a few, small, historic buildings, and access to the Glen Rose River Walk. This made a GREAT spot for us to eat our combo packed and takeout dinner after finding out that nearby Dinosaur Valley State Park now (last weekend of June 2020) closes at 7pm for day-use on weekends due to COVID-19. This was the perfect motivator to pick-up a to go order from one of the most uniquely Texan restaurants I know --Loco Coyote! With a bit of driving, we were able to pick up our order and head to this park where we found ample seating in the forms of picnic tables and benches with less than a handful of people visiting the park at the time. During our picnic dinner, a group of kayakers and SUPers paddled by on the river below the pavilion creating some lovely dinnertime entertainment!
