I had gained a lot of weight due to the stress and cortisol that was released in my body along with not getting much good sleep at all for months. I knew my son would want me to grab a hold of my life and get things a bit back on track. I interviewed a few people and once I talked with Dara over a phone consultation I knew she was the perfect person to help me. I am now 3 months in and am the strongest I have been in years thanks to our strength training. I can lift my own luggage up into the overhead bin with no soreness. I can get up and down stairs fantastically now (even though I had a partial knee replacement 2 years ago). My mental health is more aligned with my goals of navigating this grief journey with moments of joy along with sadness. Dara is fantastic at adapting my workouts to my limitations and age. I'm on week 3 at BodyTrac and I really like it. The experience is similar to personal training (each class only has a max of 4 ppl- so far I typically am only with 1 other person). There is a planned workout and so far no burpees (yaaaayyyyy). You do 30 min of cardio at your own pace- but there is a suggested cardio plan on the wall. Then you do 30 min with Corey the trainer. Everyone I've met is very friendly, Corey is a good combo of pushing you but also not a drill Sargent. He does monthly body composition measurements as part of the program so you can track your progress. The equipment is new, the facility is nice, and the location is great- plenty of parking and right next door to 7/11 for that post workout coffee :) It's extremely affordable for the value of the training you get. If you have tried everything else and you just can't get motivated to workout- this might be the place for you. It's working for me so far and I gotta say I'm shocked. I've gone from dreading and hating the idea of working out to being neutral- which is a big step for me. And that's in 3 short weeks. In town visiting and went to check out this gym. I am a member of Anytime fitness and have used…read morethem in many cities. This one looked to be brand new. At 1pm only five people were in the gym. But I witnessed a heated issue between three people and decided this is not the gym for me. A guy wanted to use a piece of equipment that wasn't being used, but somebody had their water on it. He tried to get the attention of the person nearby, but she had her headphones turned way up and was ignoring him as she prepped to do her next exercise. As soon as he started working out on it, another guy came over and apparently they were a couple and they were using three different machines and they bitched at him for using the machine that wasn't being used. She denied that he tried to ask her, but she also said you don't bother somebody while they're working out. I've always experienced nothing but nice people at Anytime fitness who are willing to let others work in. I couldn't believe it. I turned around and walked out.

He was very mindful of that and has created challenging workouts for me to do without risking further injury. The gym is spacious, and the machines/weights are clean and maintained well. I try to avoid peak hours so it's never crowded when I go there. Most importantly, you can't beat the price. I pay about $25/month for premium membership. I get access to all YouFit facilities, classes and small group training, and I can bring 1 free guest every time I go. I still have to try their group classes and will post an updated review once I've tried some.
