Jury is out on Adventure Archery. USPS claims they delivered my order but did not. Isn't shipping the sellers responsibility, especially as much as sellers charge for this service? I've always wanted to try archery and there was one right down the road from where I live so we decided to go give it a shot. It sits on 301, right off the Selmon so very easy to find. Parking is on the side and you enter from the storefront. It's a first come, first serve so if there is room, you don't have to wait. We came with a party of 5 and waited maybe 10 minutes before they were able to get us in. It's just in one room with no lanes, open concept. The instructor was very helpful and nice. It was very fun to learn and do archery. Everyone shoots their five arrows and then the last person to shoot will call "clear" and everyone will go get their arrows. The people there were also patient to first timers like us as well so that helped. Rental for equipment and an hour range was $20 per person! So affordable and fun! I enjoyed it and definitely plan to come back! read more

An indoor archery range that welcomes beginners, experts, and everything in between! My husband and I came here while in Tampa and it was a great activity for a super hot day. Neither of us had ever seen an indoor range for archery before and wanted to try it out. All of the workers were friendly and so helpful with questions & getting us set up. It had a pretty good number of people there for a Saturday afternoon, but they had plenty of lanes. I loved that they had people of all skills and everyone felt comfortable. They lay out all of the rules and I saw the workers giving pretty detailed instructions and tips to people who wanted it! It's also nice they had targets that you could put on a foam block that rolled - so you could shoot closer if needed or put it at different distances compared to just having the far wall. It was definitely a fun activity and I'd recommend going to anyone - whether you're an experience bow hunter or just looking for an activity to try. It would be fun as a couple activity, friend outing, or family outing! They also have a store front and a spot where they would tune your bow if you needed that done to your own. read more

Awesome place to go for anyone interested in Archery! 30 bucks for me and the wifey to shoot for an hour with equipment and all. We've never shot and had someone come over and teach us the basics and make sure we were okay before leaving giving us tips as well. Staff were extremely helpful and courteous. There were a few children there (8-10 years old) and they did fine as well. Seems the "normal clientele" lend themselves pretty well to helping newcomers and were very helpful and adamant. For 30 bucks I will definitely go again though I will grab some gloves as the bow string did start tearing my fingers up after about 30 minutes or so. I had called prior to going and I was told that they were practicing the CDC guidelines. When I walked in, not one person, including the staff, was wearing a mask. Hillsborough County still has a mask mandate but it seems like this business could not be bothered by that mandate or the safety of its customers. So much fun! The staff was super friendly, knowlegable and eager to help. They have a small parking lot so during events is can be a bit crowded. Last year for Valentine's day this dis a package where you were able to rent the gear and they cooked dinner, had smores over a fire and you were able to use the outside range which is normally reserved for their gold club. Adventures Archery is a great place to spend a couple hours on a weekend with your kids / family. They stock a ton of archery equipment and supplies at reasonable prices. They also have rental gear if you just want to give archery a try. With a full service shop on site, they are also able to do repairs and tune ups of your current bow or even set up your new one on the spot. Their indoor range is very comfortable providing a safe shooting environment that's well lit and air conditioned. I have had nothing but excellent service from this establishment. Their main bow Tech Ray is TOP NOTCH! I don't have the luxury of having an archery shop close to me so I driver about an hour just to come to Adventure Archery. I have purchased 2 bows from them and each time has been very pleasant. One of the bows I purchased happened to be a flagship bow and it had a warrantable failure. They handle it superbly in every way... Just as I would have when I was a warranty administrator for a heavy duty truck dealership. Then I had a non-warrantable failure 3 days before a big 3D shoot and they still treated me with unbelievable customer service and got my bow up and running for me to shoot in the Rinehart 100. As far as this bad review where this customer says he has been in archery for 7 years and was told rather "curtly/abruptly" to not draw and release... I have a few things to say about that..... First and foremost anybody with 7 years under their belt should know that it is always best/respectful to ask if it is alright to draw a bow of any kind from the owner of the bow. It baffles me how some people would just assume that because you walk into an archery shop you have extensive knowledge of bows. We took our 16 year old Grandson here today; neither of us had ever shot a compound bow before. Our host/instructor, MacKenzie, was a great instructor, and soon my Grandson and I were shooting our share of bullseyes! She was also friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful....she has more personality in her pinky than many people have in their whole body! It was a very nice, clean air-conditioned building, with tons of gear. We will definitely be back, and we highly recommend Adventures Archery for a fun, safe outing. I must say one of the best and newest editions to the archery scene in Tampa. After having the same small selection of stores and experience to choose from it was a wonderful surprise when this store popped up on my radar. As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted by the helpful staff and left with no questions unanswered. They have in stock a wide range of archery products and brands to fit anyone's needs. The archery range is very clean, well maintained and includes a small snack shop. For me the topper is the pro shop staff both Ray and Josh are truly masters at there craft. They can get your bow tuned and set up perfectly and all with a friendly smile. They never leave a question unanswered nor do they make you feel intimidated by possibly asking a silly question. I can truly say I have never been treated so well by people who truly love what they love and man it shows. The folks that run this wonderful oasis of archery bliss are fun to be around. They have a nice large range downstairs, and a separate range upstairs for youth and other beginning classes. I know they carry Matthews, and Mission by Matthews as well as others that I forget. They also have the youth line of bows from Genisis. They have a skilled crew of bow technicians and archery instructors. They even have comfortable seating for those that are not shooting, especially just outside of the teaching range upstairs. My husband and I went there to try archery for the first time and completely loved it! The staff was friendly and they taught us how to use the bow and arrow. They set us up fast and we enjoyed the whole hour practicing on the range. We will definitely be back. It's also affordable and the atmosphere is enjoyable as well - there were three other groups on the range and everyone seemed to both be nice and respectful of each other and the rules. This was my 2nd time visiting this place. Both times I was not greeted as a customer, no one asked me if I needed any assistance. I had to fumble through looking aimlessly at stuff until I found what I was looking for. I went there today looking to see if they had gear for horse-bow style archery. Just to add..I've been in archery for almost 7 years. While looking I picked up a traditional recurve and decided to give a draw...as soon as I picked it up one of the guys that worked there told me rather curtly/abruptly not to draw and release. Really? I think i know this. After that you would think he would have come over and asked me for assistance...but no. As a looked around there were a couple other workers cleaning off shelving and renewing a display...they looked but said nothing...Worst customer assistance i've ever experienced. I do have my opinion as to why that was, but I'll reserve that to myself. I will not be going back, but something tells me they wouldn't mind. read more

The experience was great but the staff were very rude! We were not shown how to properly use the equipment, they interrupted us numerous times, tried to squeeze 2 people into the small room (there was 4 of us!) and "reminded" us our time was up twice 20 minutes before it actually was so they can give another group the space. One of the staff (guy with the beard) asked if we were signed it but we were never told by the front desk we had to. He then returned to tell "they would have to ask us to leave in a few minutes." We still had 15 minutes left. Not happy with the experience! Won't be coming back. read more
