Pretty decent hotel, we stayed here when we came for the DMB show. Your average 3 star hotel, nothing fancy, could be cleaner.

I am between 3 and 4 stars for this review, so I'll start by saying if you're looking for a cheap place to stay in a decent location, this Courtyard definitely checks those boxes. I've stayed at other Courtyards before, and it's almost always a solid, middle-of-the-road option for a few nights. This location, however, is in pretty dire need of some updates. Check-in was quick and easy - we actually took care of it in the Marriott app before arriving, and then we just stopped by the front desk to pick up our keys. Our room was on the seventh floor, and it was clean when we arrived. Despite being informed that we wouldn't receive housekeeping services during our two-night visit, they did stop by and freshen up our room while we were gone on Saturday. That was a nice surprise! The bed was just fine for a couple of nights ... but the pillows were pretty rough to sleep on. There were also some issues with the humidity during our stay. Every time we came back to the room after being gone for a few hours, it smelled musty. We aired it out by opening the window, and kept repeating this process throughout our visit. The AC was pretty consistent as well, however it strangely shut off in the middle of our second night. I played around with it and managed to get it back to cooling the room ... but no one wants to wake up in a hot hotel room! All of the staff members we interacted with were friendly and helpful. I would consider staying here again if some updates are made to increase the comfort of the rooms! read more

We stayed here for one night and had a good time. It was for a youth sports tournament so having the indoor pool and outdoor area with the fire pit was great because the parents could keep and eye on the kids, but have our own space. The check in process was quick and easy and the staff so friendly. I loved the free parking as well. The room itself was a bit dated, but was spacious and got the job done as we spent very little time in them. We had two queens and there was still room for a little sitting chair. There was a desk and a wardrobe in lieu of a closet. The bathroom was a decent size and the amenities in pumps on the wall in the shower, which seems to be the trend these days. I'm a Titanium member... which means I travel A LOT. The 2 stars are for the staff ONLY! This is my first time staying at this particular location, and I can guarantee you that this will be my last. What I can say is, the staff was absolutely wonderful HOWEVER, this hotel is SUPER DATED. This is definitely my fault for not reading the reviews, but I have learned my lesson. I stayed in room 215. That in itself was an issue. My preference on my profile clearly states, "high floor" (pic 1) with extra towels. Neither preference was honored. The tub was absolutely ridiculous! I understand there may be stains, but really? It was not a good look (pic 2). Please zoom in! Thank God, I pack shower shoes! There was so much hair that did not belong to me under the sink, I'm kind of wondering when was the last time someone stayed in this particular room. The drawers would not close. Really? Like you can't be serious (pic 3). The side door (the one closes to the elevator) does not open with a key from the outside. Very annoying. Again, the staff I encountered was great, but I used points for this room, and it was a waste. I'm so thankful, I was only here for 1 night. Never staying here again. I promise. read more

What a joke. Proof that you should never go for cheaper prices. The room is stuck in the 90's. Bar with a bartender that doesn't know how to make a drink. A rude staff member who saw me waiting at the coffee area, no one else around...then when I asked if I could get it myself she said "You should have stayed at the residence" then added we don't have free coffee here. I told her I don't want anything for free. She then walked over and tapped the coffee carafe and coffee came out. I said never mind. OMG this is how you guys do business!? This is how you treat paying customers!? Uh, the coffee thing is a push button machine - no skill set needed other than pushing a button. read more

The dirtiest roach infested hotel I've ever been in. They treat their employees like trash they discriminate they talk about you. They're all snakes. Do not go to this hotel is the worst. Their refrigerator cuts off after a certain amount of time. They have horrible ratings. They just cover them up and make up other ones. The assistant manager Jerry Paylor is the worst I have ever seen. No one cares. They don't even clean your rooms correctly. The bistro is too high for the trash food that they offer please close this hotel down ASAP read more

Attended a training here. Rooms are comfortable and clean at the start. No cleaning staff, except after guests check out. Several. Obvious need for repairs are noted around the hotel....bathroom sink in exercise room hallway was out of order, and one of the ellipticals and one of the treadmills in exercise room were out of order. Room has small refrigerator, desk, dresser, iron and ironing board and sofa. Breakfast is at a Starbucks located in hotel...good assortment of Chobani yogurts, steel cut oats with fruit, and usual Starbucks beverages. Neighboring hotel has a breakfast buffet that you can purchase for a short walk. At trading, hotel staff not able to assist in clearing trash our providing snacks and beverages... But allowed instructors to bring food and drinks into trading room. Front office staff very friendly and helpful. read more

I try not to go down to one-star, but this particular experience was not great... The Good: --The five or six staff members I spoke with here were all kind and polite. --The lobby of the hotel is nicely decorated and the restaurant area looks great as well. And that's it for the good... The Bad: --My room wasn't too dirty, but there were uncleaned areas including a spill of salt or something on the floor clearly visible upon entrance. --The wifi went out entirely, and when it was working it's got to be the slowest wifi I have used since the early 2000's. I tried to contact the front because my computer wouldn't prompt me for the upgraded speeds but the front desk employee didn't know what to do. --The tub fills halfway up during a shower because there's clearly some clog. --The fridge didn't work. Just at all. Did not work. --The TV is a guide only, not a smart TV. It's so old that it doesn't have Netflix. --There must be an ice machine near me because there is constant rattling off and on all the time, not great for sleep. --Not a single food or drink location in walking distance. I mean, it's not great. I'm a silver member because I travel a bit for work and try to always stay at a Marriott for points. I come to NC at least once a year, but next time I'll stay at the Hilton. It's not worth it to get the points here. read more

Gross. The A/C is the loudest thing i've ever heard. Beds are terrible. Since i need more characters I'll just add that it's gross again.

This courtyard is old and tired and I do not recommend staying there. I am a regular business traveler and I typically stay at Marriott courtyards all over the country. This particular property has not been updated in quite some time. My television was from the 1990s, the refrigerator in my room did not work, in the room was musty, feeling from a poorly constructed air conditioning system. With all that being said, the staff at the front desk, and at the café are very friendly and professional. The ownership group of this property needs to commit to investing in facility. read more

This has been my second stay here and I'm not disappointed at all. The staff has always been great. Smiles and courtesy are free and this place is never short when it comes to these attributes. The rooms have been clean and everything looks well taken care of. My only concern is that one of the beds had some set stains on the sheet. You could tell they had been washed but the stains were still there. I chose the other bed. The bistro is the same as all the courtyards. Good food but overpriced. I'll definitely return. read more

Stayed here after most others were booked for a cheering event. Great staff, clean and a cute outside fire to unwind. The only disappointment and possibly the case with every Courtyard is the morning coffee and breakfast arrangement. While many hotels offer complimentary coffee and breakfast, the bistro charges for everything, one coffee at a time. So a quick tall coffee at $3 comes only as fast as the slowest custom toasted bread for the little child. One person ( Nicole) working as fast as she can to serve everyone, everything. It seams like a highly inefficient process. read more

Ehhhh... not the greatest... but wasn't the worst. The initial room we were given we realized the door would not lock only then to see someone at some point tried to pry the door open...we were given another room. In the second room the AC was blasted and the room was freezing...we figure out why..well the room smelled like mildew and urine. With the AC on full blast u cannot smell it. We dealt with it ONLY because we were on there for the weekend and to sleep. I give 3 stars as a benefit of the doubt because of the lack of house keeping due to COVID-19. Not sure.. but probably won't visit this hotel again. read more

Good location if you're going to the speedway or pnc music. Good food and coffee options here. Friendly staff at the food bar. It's clean and has ample parking. My issue was on a day it was 96 degrees, the ac in our room stopped working at 330am. It would only blow hot air and then wouldn't shut off. I reported in the morning and they acted like it was a common occurrence there. No apologies just a Thanks for letting us know. read more

Lots of place to stay around this popular spot. The hotel is modern , clean and functional. All Courtyards have a bar / breakfast area up front and this one does too. The bar closes kinda early, 10 ish... and in my opinion a little too early. Standard Courtyard, very professional, good service, nice folks... read more

This occurred while heading to a funeral. After checking in our room was obviously supposed to be ready, but there was a third-party cleaning crew shampooing our room when we went up to it. Then we discovered we had slept in a bed with a large URINE stain on our bedsheets which had been hidden by clever bed making (why not just switch the sheets is beyond me, other than being intentionally vile) we also discovered BLOOD on the blinds! Management was informed and did nothing. Management also never inspected the room itself. We have now had to contact corporate to escalate the issue, not to mention Hotels.com offered me a $50 gift card and then hung up on me when I demanded a refund! Mattress might have well been a faux display item at a department store, staff was acerbic and unhelpful, was obvious we were bothering them with our trivial complaint of health code violations. NC health department will be next point of contact. Disgusting, and despicable way to run a hotel, shame on these people. Marriott has lost a customer and so has hotels.com, heinous business practices! read more

Greta location to a lot of restaurants. I'd hate to be here on a race day but off season, great choice. It was close enough to drive in to Charlotte for stuff as well. Room as nice. tHe layout was a bit weird because of the tv placement on the side of the bed instead of in front. But overall, the staff was friendly, rooms were very clean and nice. It was quiet as well. Price was reasonable for what we got. Next time we're in Concord we'll definitely stay here again! read more

As Courtyards go, this place is average. but what really stands out are the people that work here. Michaela, Chris, and everyone at the front desk have been excellent. yes the place is dated, and the owners are doing as little as possible during this renovation, but the service is excellent. this isn't the Ritz, so don't expect the place to be the Ritz, but be nice to the staff, and remember that they are doing the best with what they've been given, and they will do everything in their power to make your stay better. read more

A typical Courtyard, but what I do like about this one is the bistro/coffee shop/bar off to the side of the lobby. The typical bartender/barista during the work week (the only time I'm at this location) is a long-time employee, very personable, and takes great care of the guests. This past visit, as I was checking out of the hotel, the woman behind the desk actually remembered me and called me by name - and it had been months since my last stay. I wish I could harness her memory! Regardless of how she could remember my name and my last hair style compared to current, it definitely left an impression. The staff at this location is wonderful. The hotel room was clean, and while the room reservation was for a King room, the desk clerk asked if she could put me in a 2 double room because she wanted to get me on a floor that was not under renovation. Very thoughtful and acceptable. Overall, I'm glad this is the standard hotel for my corporate office. They always have taken great care and even when they overbook, they move you across the parking lot to the Residence Inn at the same price. read more

I'll start with cons: Checked into room, started flipping mattresses because of reasons pictured below and I don't want to sleep with critters (at least i didn't find any bugs... that was a plus..). Found questionable urine stains and blood stains. ALL over the mattresses in the double bed rooms. But these stains took the cake. Immediately went downstairs and asked for a new room. Was politely but quietly given another key. No questions asked, no "what was wrong" or "how can I fix it." Almost like this happens all the time, an expectation. Got in my new room. First bed had another pee stain (not pictured) though less extravagant. I flipped the other mattress and found a crumpled up tissue. After driving 5 hours and being exhausted I just gave up and chose the tissue bed. At least that one didn't have the pee stains. My travel partner spoke with the GM who was borderline rude to her, but offered to switch rooms (no thanks, i'm not gonna switch rooms until i find the magic room without a pee/blood stain) or move us into the hotel he manages across the street (again no thank you). Also the room didn't have a microwave (advertised as having one), the mini fridge didn't get cold and both rooms i ended up in smelled HORRIBLY of cigarette smoke. The Ladies i spoke with at the front desk working both night shift and day shift were nice, especially the day shift one. Didn't catch their names. But i appreciate the kindness. Check in was very fast, as well as check out and i do appreciate the check out time of 12pm. read more

Outstanding room, updated, new and modern. Very clean. Great service at the front desk. Bistro was excellent. The treadmills were top notch. My fan in my room sounded like a jet engine. The shower hot and cold were backwards. I will definitely stay here again. read more

Checked in late, apparently Adah (name tag on the clerk) was having a bad evening. She was cold and unfriendly brushed it off as just having a bad day. However I got to the room settled in and realized there was not a single towel or wash cloth in the room (first time for that) so I called the front desk thinking not a big deal they will run some right up. Not exactly, I got the lady at the front desk again and explained that the room had no towels in it at which point the response was " I will get some and put them at the front desk" I had to think for a minute as that couldn't possibly be the answer so I asked if she said that I needed to come down and get them and she responded "that is what I said" chuckled pleasantly and hung up. I'm sure Adah was just having a bad night, certainly not a reason to demonstrate it in front of the guests. Don't get me wrong I love staying at Marriott and this hotel seems to be as nice and clean as they come. read more

Stayed here for 2 night and it's very clean, great location if you are here for a NASCAR race or driving through. Close to restaurants and activities. Rooms are not huge but are modern and clean. Staff was friendly. Downside is they do not have a complimentary breakfast. Rather they have "The Bistro" which serves meals and beverages. Kind of a bar which serves more then your typical hotel bar. Serves Starbucks as well! read more

In a really good area right by the highway, airport, and many restaurants around. The hotel and rooms are spacious, modern, and clean. The staff is really friendly and accommodating, we had to change reservation names at the last minute. Breakfast is not included but they have a bar and restaurant inside. read more

Had just a wonderful stay. All of the Front Desk, Facilities and Housekeeping staff were sweet, kind and helpful. The very minor issues that I encountered were handled quickly, efficiently and with a great attitude. The room was clean and well appointed. Very close to many, many amazing restaurants and of course Concord Mills and the Speedway. Would absolutely stay here again. Next time I'll be giving the in house Bistro a try! read more

Customer service was exceptional. Derrick at the front desk was helpful and welcoming. I spent an hour having a casual conversation with him and another staff member. They made me feel welcome in a new city. Also breakfast buffet was spotless and very well stocked. read more

I stay here last week and I was not so happy with my stay. The bathroom had a bad smell coming from it, we had to leave our bathroom door closed.My husband and I was staying for two nights and the last night the house keeper knocked on our door 8am to see if we was still there, I was so mad. Although most Courtyards look similar, they aren't all similar. The best part of this Courtyard is the Bistro, well run, well stocked, enthusiastic manager, feels more like a fine casual restaurant. And the meetings staff is terrific too, very accommodating, no pun intended. read more

After planning a month ahead of time we show up to have none of the reservation requests we had made met. They gave away our adjoining room and put us on different floors - we were traveling with young children and multiple families and had been assured these needs would be met. We needed extra blankets and there were none. Some of the rooms were not thoroughly cleaned and one had zero toilet paper in the bathroom when we checked in. Rooms weren't even ready until after 4:30! Also there's no breakfast. I would not recommend this hotel as there are plenty of other nicer hotels in this area. We went with cheapest which matches the service we received! read more

One night I asked for an extra blanket (there wasn't one in my room) they said they are going to try to find one fir me and they did get me one from another room. Another day the coffee maker went missing from my room, when I asked for one, they went to other rooms looking for one. It looks like the owner is not willing to invest in the hotel. Definitely my favorite place to stay near Charlotte. The location is perfect for all my needs, just watch out if it's a big race weekend. The only problem I had is the bathroom floor was dirty with footprints visible from the previous occupants and I brought it to their attention but it was not cleaned and I went to font counter to get toilet paper and was told they would put it at my front door but they never did. Now it's up to the staff to make my next stay perfect. read more
