The room was adequate for our group but we had no towels, no toilet paper, and no Kleenex. Those are fairly major items for housekeeping to skip supplying. We had made the reservation a few days in advance and I checked in via the app because I am a Hilton gold member. We contacted the front desk to request these items. They assured these items would be sent up. No one ever arrived with our items. When we went to the front desk, they were dismissive and discourteous. Perfectly functional hotel with friendly staff. Room was good and clean. The free breakfast is nice but I feel they could use an additional waffle maker as it gets quite busy and with only one there is definitely a wait to use it. They could also add another breakfast attendant as everything runs out and the only lady was having trouble catching up. The excise room is small but functional. They have 4 pieces of nice cardio equipment including a peloton bike. They are all updated with big screens and fitness tracking capabilities. As far as weight training they have a wide selection of dumbbells from 5lbs to 75lbs and an adjustable bench. It is small so more than 2 or 3 people at a time will get a little cramped. But it is open 24 hours even though the sign on the door says 6am - 12am. read more

Found two cockroaches in one night. The overall hotel smells like cigarette smoke, the bathrooms are even worse. Couldn't sleep as the beds were terrible and the air quality was horrible. Incredibly disappointed and disgusted. read more

I'm having an amazing stay here. Beautiful, clean hotel with the best staff. The rooms are super clean and steaming hot water for your showers, who can ask for more. Funny thing is that there is more. Most hotels serve complimentary breakfast, the breakfast here is done with lots of care and love. Cheese grits has been my favorite . I could be living under a rock , but they even serve dinner. With 50 or more restaurants only a stone's throw away, I find myself anticipating what's on the menu here. This has been such an unexpected surprise in regards to a routine business stay, Definitely, highly recommended staying here. read more

It's "okay". I stay at a lot of hotels and this one was fine. The lobby is awesome with tvs & plenty of seating. The room has a mini fridge, microwave etc. My only real gripe, which they could easily fix, is curtains that don't close all the way! The street light is blinding at night and sun is blaring in your window in the morning. All they have to do is add a curtain rod so it closes. I would've been a much better guest if I got some sleep! read more

13 Vehicles broken into, in one night due to the lack of parking lot lighting. They did not have security or surveillance to offset the lack of lighting. This invites smash and grab bad guys. Managers only have excuses and plans to fix the lighting rather than actions to dissuade break-ins. Stay here and park here is literally at your own risk more than one would think. read more

I am a tour bus driver and drive all Nite, arriving at the Hampton inn for early check in and desk manager says no rooms available yet. I sit down a few minutes later a guy walks in like they were best friends and says oh yes we have one room available right now!! I am under strict federal guidelines for rest periods and leaving very early evening hours, this is federal requirement and for the safety of my passengers to ensure I don't get in an accident. The manager has put the hire at fault if anything happens. This action was inappropriate. It's been another 45 minutes now and no room this far. read more

Friends and I a banquet room for a baby shower. We were able to get the from 8-5. Guest services communicated greatly, constantly checking my in and ensuring we had all we needed for our room. They provided tables, chairs, and table coverings on some of the tables we used to set up food and drinks. There were mini fridges and sinks which were great for helping to clean. We also had patio access which made loading and unloading very simple. I'd recommend this hotel if looking to host an event. read more

Came for a family reunion and had no choice but to leave a review. We had the best experience that we have ever had at any hotel, no exaggerations. The breakfast was delicious both days, and the amazing customer service was beyond anything I've ever experienced. Their employees made our stay such an enjoyable experience. This hotel is in a conclave of mediocre hotels agonizingly close to the highway. Among mediocre hotels, it fits in. Unfortunately, the staff's incompetence resulted in me being charged an extra night's stay. When I asked for late checkout, they said no problem. Then, the next day, they are stating that I consented to an entire extra night's charge. I spoke with the manager and explained, who in their right mind would've paid $130 for 2 hours extra? The hotel staff manipulated their story when their manager asked for more information. Manager now refusing to issue refund for second night. Avoid this place and stay somewhere where the staff aren't dishonest and manipulative. read more

This was the second stop for the Carolinas this week and was in the middle of a circle that was filled with Hotels and restaurants near Concord Mills Mall. I just realized that I never mentioned the internet connectivity on any of the Hampton Inn reviews. Well, unless something bad happens, let just agree that the fancy code they give you on your key cover works just fine and there were no problems. "The Good" - The staff was great, very helpful aside from the screen starer mentioned below, I am not sure she knows that anyone even checked in that day. - The gentlemen that checked me in offered me a water... this little thing is one of the reasons they are at four stars. Its the little things that people remember and they need to know that something as little as that is working... so nice job management. - Decent location to a variety of spots to eat, including chains and non chains. Sadly, a lot of driving did not allow any food explorations this go around. - The room was clean and it was a new set up where you could see the TV from all sitting areas in the room, including the desk. - This room also had a fridge, which was nice. "The Meh" - I do not know if it was the location, or operating procedure, but sometimes when you call to make a reservation you speak to the person, other times, they put you through to the 1-800 line and you make your reservation that way. I was transferred to the 1-800 line when I called and wondered how busy they were. When I was checking in it was kinda dead with about 10 cars in the parking lot. When I approached the desk the first person to make eye contact is usually the one that is going to help you. The gentlemen behind the counter broke first and said good afternoon. so to the right side of the desk I went... The young lady at the desk was involved looking at a computer screen. As I was checking in the phone rang and without blinking she answered the phone and greeted the customer then immediately transferred them to the 1-800 line... there must have been some really important stuff on that screen. "The Bad" - There was no paper in the morning. Yes, I actually read the thing too, I am not just finding random things to file here. It's nice to take a few minutes some time throughout the day and just relax for a few. read more

I booked a two night stay at this hotel. To make a long story short last night ( my first night) I went to bed and noticed that it smelled like urine. After a minute or so my clothes felt damp. I got out of bed.. felt the sheets.. and then pulled back the blanket, top sheet and saw a big yellow ring around the sheet. I am not sure how this was missed by house keeping. This was an extremely negative experience to say the least. To lay in someone else's urine. We were moved to another room but I am still waiting to hear from a manager. Not sure who to report this to since this is also a health hazard. read more

We stayed there three week nights. If you don't need Internet it's a 4. If you really need Internet it's a 2; maybe a 1. The people were polite and helpful and knowledgeable. The room was comfortable and clean and quiet. What prevents it from being a five for non-internetters is that the breakfast, while adequate (for me that means cooked eggs and meat) was only that and either the toilet seat was too low or the water was too high (a problem for some guys). Also they put a sheet and a duvet on the bed. A duvet is pretty useless in any season unless the power is off but in summer it's totally useless. And yes I know all three of those things are distressingly common in the motel industry but they should cost points and they did. Now to the Internet. Hilton has a two (or more) stage pricing mechanism. You can take the free Internet or pay for, I presume, better access. We used the free and it was unacceptable. I had apps on my phone that needed updating and I was unable to. I never tried to play a movie but I'm sure I couldn't have, and that doesn't bother me, but not even being able to update a few apps?! Also my phone did not stay on wi-fi solidly at all; I frequently had to put it back onto the network. This might have been acceptable access several years ago but not now. read more

I had a wonderful stay because of the staff who assured it. Shannon Sostack and Chris Davis were so kind and attentive so as to ensure a pleasant time under their watch. The most outstanding staff member is Rebecca Sargent. The labor shortage clearly squeezes tourism today, however Rebecca prevented us from feeling it. She is every woman and every man. She handled every single task we perceived needed done. From explaining the comforts of our stay, to providing breakfast to ensuring the pool was clean and satisfactory. She never stopped. Excellent location, within walking distance to a variety of eateries. Excellent customer service at the front desk, very welcoming! We stayed in a room with jacuzzi tub; very relaxing! Room was spacious and clean, everything we needed it to be. One star taken for breakfast, it was okay, but you can walk to Waffle House from this location, so win! read more

While we had a great experience with Yazmarie our first night, we came back the second & got turned down by Brian because we couldn't pay according to how we paid the first time. Upsetting because we just located to Charlotte & our bank is not local. Brian the AGM stereotyped us from the beginning, so it was no surprise to us that he would turn us away. He offered us to go to Marriott hotels, I would never do that as a Hilton employee. We all work at hotels so there's no reason to ever be unprofessional, we were treated like we were trying to scam them. Other than that the guy who was training was very nice at the front desk, he conversated excellently with us & even wished us well as we were leaving. Unfortunate that we had to end up staying farther away because this Hampton Inn was convenient to where we needed to be & we enjoyed our first night there. read more

Pretty disappointed in our experience with this hotel. My 5 year old son LOVES staying in hotels but we don't get the opportunity very often, well rarely at all. When my mother came to visit from California we traveled to Concord to take part in a few local activities. While she was making the reservation my mother requested a room on the top floor as this is always exciting to my son, the representative confirmed this was possible while on the phone. When she (my mom) checked us in, as I took my son to go grab some lunch, the employee at the front desk first tried to put us in a room on the second floor, when my mother mentioned the request for the top floor the front desk employee then stated they don't put children on any of the upper floors because "you know, they run around and disturb other guests" - which is a bit of a stereotype to me. After some discussion she hesitantly ended up putting us on the 5th floor (total of 6), my son was bummed but got over it. I was curious about this new rule about children on upper levels, we've stayed at Hampton hotels before in the mountains and always get the top floor. I went down to the front desk to ask questions, by this time a different associate was behind the desk. I asked her about the rule and she was completely confused. I explained what my mother was told and she informed me there is no such rule on children being on upper levels. She was pleasant and offered to move us one floor up but at that point I wasn't going to go through the trouble of moving a 5 and 70 year old. The rest of the stay and room was average, kitchen supplies (coffee stirs, etc) were lacking but other than that it was ok. However, honesty and integrity is very important to me as a consumer and this particular situation definitely put a sour taste in my mouth. read more

I was just on a trip to Charlotte and I stayed at this Hampton Inn at Concord Mills, and it was really awesome. First off, it's located right by the Concord Mills Mall which is a pretty cool mall, has lots of stuff to do and there is every sort of place I could want to visit with in walking distance of the hotel. The Hampton Inn itself was amazing. From the moment I arrived, which was way too early for a normal check in, but I had been travelling all night so I thought I'd give it a shot, and they put me right in. The lady working the front desk was super nice, and allowed me to pick a room on the floor I wanted. The room was a clean nice room, they have Neutrogena products as the room hygiene products which is really nice. Also, the girl at the front desk at check in said I could join the other guests for an evening reception for drinks and a light dinner that evening. I was not able to visit, because I had to head out to work, but it was a surprising and nice touch. I did grab some of the cookies and apples that were left out for guests. Breakfast in the morning was great. They kept it stocked with a lot of the normal fare, but my favorite was they had a great fresh fruit mix. Pineapple, strawberries, and raspberries and then they had whipped cream and syrups, a nice difference from a lot of hotels. They bed in the room was great. Too many pillows, but in a good way. It's the perfect mix of soft and firm. I had a great night sleep at this hotel. I felt it was in a very good location and it is just clean and safe all around. The one thing I would say is, my GPS had a hard time finding it the first time, took me down past it and right around a back street. Its much easier to actually get in than the way I went first. I travel a lot and this is one of the best properties I've stayed at. Thanks guys. Would definitely stay here again. read more

I stayed at the Concord location this weekend for a wedding. Staff was very friendly. Beds were comfortable. But during my stay I had some issues, when i went to take a shower the water was like warm. I should have to take a shower in like warm water! The ends of the Bed had a metal pieces which cause me to scrap my leg. Also the Wi-Fi NEVER WORKED!!! I called the front several times and took over 10 min for someone to answer the phone. read more

ROOM 319 IS AWESOME! My wife and I went to Concord Mills on October 1st and absolutely had a great time. The mall was clean and well-organized. It is clearly marked they are doing renovations on the mall so the construction is of no surprise. I would state that if you're in the Outdoor World end of the mall if you need to use the restroom, the restrooms in Outdoor World are a lot cleaner and nicer than the mall restrooms which I would only give 3 out of 5 Stars. read more

Very nice hotel. Rooms were roomy and reasonably priced. The lobby and breakfast was actually edible (although not much beyond the high carb processed goods) and the staff was super friendly. I've stayed at quite a few Hampton Inn & Suites and this was one of the nicer ones. It's also right next to the Motor Speedway (about 1 mile away) so if you're in town for that this place would work great. read more

Discrimination at its best .. my husband and I checked in this hotel after 7pm on a Saturday night...it was out date night ..we checked in took showers and headed out for our Date we returned to the room about 1am ...unfortuantly once in the room my husband (who is a Marine Vet ) and I got into a disagreement ...WITH OUT WARNING the police was called on us(police didn't even take a report because it was "uncalled for" ....when we spoke with Becky who was at the front desk that night and explained if we were asked to tone it down he would have ..we honestly didn't realize how loud we were Becky then goes on to say that she didn't warn us because" when she has Warned others they didn't stop " well that was very unfair to us . While I do understand that we may have inconvienced others with arguing..but like every one else she has Warned we deserved to have been warned as well but no she just flat out called the police on us and there were about 5 police cars smh... ok so I call the general manager Brooks this morning he won't refund me half my money because of the lies that are being told 1. He says we checked in at 11:44am no way possible!!! 2. He says there were kids tuning up and down the hall way (We didn't have any children with us!) Also not to mention my make up and robe were left in the room my makeup has been recovered but my very expensive silk robe has not been I have spoken with cooperate in regards to this and waiting for a call back and must I add this Becky lady is very very rude!!!! read more

I stayed at this hotel for three nights on business. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I agree with many of the other reviews that the rooms need some TLC. We held a company conference in the hotel and the staff provided us with everything we needed. The hotel offers complimentary wifi which is pretty good. The hotel offers a complimentary breakfast that is pretty good and has a decent variety. Every night I was there they also offered a complimentary dinner. Every guest got two canned drinks for free, a lot of people got beer. They always had coffee available and late at night they put out cookies. I didn't love the accommodations in the room but the service was exceptional. read more

It's a fine spot as far as Hamptons go. Certainly not a new location - lobby is nice, rooms are old but clean. The windows opens which is a huge plus. Standard breakfast, friendly staff, below average workout room. Only 1 treadmill, 1 bike and kettle balls. Would have liked to check out the hilton garden inn next door - looked nicer. read more

Was scheduled to stay at this Hampton for four nights, starting the Monday before Thanksgiving. When my family and I (2 adults, 2 small children) got to the room, found that the advertised queen beds were actually full size. The closet was only able to accommodate 6-8 items, and only one drawer was provided for non-hanging clothing. The bathroom was gross. Mildew all over the shower and tub, tiles were cracked, evidence of rot near the tub, etc. The sink wouldn't stop dripping and the toilet wouldn't stop running. We changed rooms to the one next door, which was moderately better. The advertised "complimentary hospitality event" for guests was actually limited to two soft drinks per room, and there was a charge for beer. We ended up checking out after one night, and went around the corner to the Hilton Garden Inn. Lower room rate by $20/night, newly renovated rooms, true queen beds, full size closet, three full dresser drawers for clothes and a Keurig coffee maker in the room! So glad we left the Hampton Inn! read more

We were staying at the Comfort Inn across the way (about 100 yards) from this hotel. Through closed windows and over the noise of the air conditioner running in our room, we could hear people screaming and talking loudly at their outdoor pool-at almost midnight. It took a call from our hotel's front desk to get them to stop. I can't imagine that their own hotel's guests appreciated that kind of noise level so late at night, and it's surprising they would have such disregard for their own guest's comfort that they don't have common courtesy rules and hours for their pool. If you want to be able to sleep at night...pick a different hotel. read more
