Post event digs for the night. We decided on the property due to the location of an event & then the proximity of a relative's home for the holiday. Check in was a breeze as the staff was pleasant & helpful. Once we all got our keys, we went our separate way before meeting back up in the designated room for pre-game festivities. What a very spacious & immaculate room. The interior had nice earth tones & flowed nicely with the furniture & lighting. A nice size Flat Screen TV, mini fridge, dual alarm clocks & free Wi-Fi, yes FREE internet access that was fast & didn't have to constantly sign in to use. My favorite piece of furniture of any hotel room for my slipped disc/back discomfort was the bed. The mattress felt like I was sleeping tempurpedic clouds. The bedding was luxurious & very clean smelling. My OCD really kicks in overdrive when it comes to staying at hotels, specifically pertaining to the bed linen....great job housekeeping! Bathroom is modernized & spacious so you're not bumping into the door to get the restroom or take a shower, & again, very important factor, the linen was extremely cleaned/sanitized smelling. Even though I wear slippers at all times, the carpet looked pretty cleaned. All the other basic amenities such as the coffee maker, iron, blower dryer was all up to date. We didn't parlay in the Bistro or Lounge area, but both was staged with a savvy & organized flare. They have a big Flat Screen on the side of the main lounging area, that has a flowing partition. The red color scheme was really popping throughout the common areas. I was so in awe of the red, round, leather ottoman with crystal accents...sharp attention-getter for the foyer. The Bistro had tables & a sleek granite counter top/bar, with a pretty good wine inventory for the small serving aspect. They also offer grab & go foods, fresh fruit & various coffee/teas to choose from. For the aquatic relaxation, they have a whirlpool & inside pool, which is always a high plus, especially if your hotel stay is longer than one night. I was told there was an outdoor fireplace, so I'll definitely look for that during my next stay...hopefully over the holidays if I can kick my relative out for a night. I realized after I checked out, that I left my homemade Vegan dish in the mini fridge. Since we were still in the vicinity in heading to a relative's place, I called the front desk & spoke to Gabriela (hopefully my ears heard correctly) & shared with her what happened. She asked if I wanted to hold while she contacted Housekeeping, in which I did for 5 minutes, but hung up & called back. Yep, my food was there & she said that she would place it in the Bistro area to keep it cold until I return...it was there & uneaten LOL. Price was on point, accommodations was on point, front desk & friendly staff customer service was on point, could be a great home away from home when needed.

This hotel is infested with black ants. The ants are all over the bathrooms in your room. They are also all over the the floor in your room but you can't tell because the carpet is black. That is until you spill something and they start swarming. GROSS! THE assistant General manager, Leah, is a rude disrespectful poor example of leadership lying, stating that she doesn't know of any ant problems at the hotel and that I am to blame because I am not allowing exterminators to come into my room and spray pesticides while I am there. There are reviews going back 5 months highlighting guests' complaints about in ants in their beds and rooms. Still Leah could care less. I asked her for the district manager name and she smiled sarcastically and said no. Trash all over the floor by the ice machine and ants swarming everywhere. What's next bed bugs? Leah shouldn't be a leader as she is incompetent and the facility is a health hazard. See videos of raid traps that I bought and put in my room to stop the infestation. Also a video of trash in the hallway. If you stay here BEWARE.

This stay however, was far from my normal experiences with a Hampton Inn. My husband, my dog, and I stayed here Christmas Eve - Christmas Day while visiting relatives in town. I called the hotel to make my reservation, as I always do if traveling with an animal, just to make sure things go smoothly. They said no problem, no breed restrictions, and there is a $50 pet fee. So far so good, that's standard stuff from my experience. We got there around 9:30PM on Christmas Eve and check in. I double checked they had us down for traveling with an animal (before my husband and our dog came in to meet me). The guy at the desk said they did, there would be a fee, and under no circumstances were we to leave the dog in the room alone. Umm. Ok. I told him the dog would be with us at all times and he handed over my keys. There was only one working elevator and they put us on the top floor, so that was an interesting choice. Fortunately, people didn't super seem to mind sharing the space with us, although we did get some comments. Housekeeping was up and down with us a few times, which is a tight space. But my dog is 14, he can't take the stairs, and I can't help the hotel having an elevator down. Again, fortunately, it was mostly ok. The room was fine. It was a standard size, the air worked, the bed was comfy enough, and there was minimal noise. This could easily have been a 4 star review. But... On checkout day, there was a knock on the door at 8:30 AM while my husband was in the shower. I answered in my PJs to find it was housekeeping. I was pretty confused by this, and not fully awake, which was probably pretty evident as the person that knocked then asked me when I would be checking out. I stammered something like "probably 11", since that's what I thought checkout was and again, I was not fully awake. The guy said "OK thanks" and walked away. Having never experienced this before (and as a qualifier, I feel like I stay in hotels nationally and internationally fairly often) I decided it was time for us to leave ASAP. So when I handed over my keys at the front desk I doubled checked what time checkout was (it was 11), and told the guy (same person that checked me in) that someone knocked on our door asking when we were leaving. He stared at me. I told him I was confused and thought it was weird. He shrugged and told me they probably just wanted to clean the room and lots of people check out early. Again, he shrugged. I found this incredibly annoying and questioned why they wouldn't double check with the front desk before knocking on the door and he shrugged again and again said people check out early. No "I'm sorry". No acknowledgment that this is odd. Nothing but a blank stare, a shrug and an attitude that basically told me to go away. Cool, I will go away, and I won't stay there again. Seriously odd interactions.

I had to give up my current room before I could check out the new room. The front desk personnel was awful. Rude. Not at all helpful. Oh, I was told the maintenance man who is really the shuttle driver could come take a look at it. But he had gone to pick up a customer at the airport. No ETA on his return. The is all happened at 9:30 at night after we had unpacked out stuff and just wanted to crawl into bed after an 8 hour drive. We have always used Hilton but the properties are getting run down and the customer service is pretty non existent. Definitely would not stay at this property again.

This has become one of my go-to hotels when staying in Loudoun. There's plenty of parking here and easy exit access. As for the room, you have a typical Hyatt Place layout of a sofa bed, desk, mini-fridge area, bed, and a bathroom. What separates the rooms at this Hyatt Place from the others is the cleanliness of the furniture and surfaces and lack of wear/tear. Not to mention the bed; soft and balanced where I get an amazing night's sleep. Something you don't take for granted in your 40's! The breakfast is good for a chain hotel. Don't expect gourmet; but solid good breakfast eats that are well-presented. Out of the 4 major hotel chains, Hyatt probably has the best complimentary breakfast of them all. I was not aware they offer a shuttle service to Dulles Airport so I will consider this next time in lieu of a car rental. As for price, it's pretty favorable if you're a Hyatt member for what you get. Or you can use points at roughly 5,000 points/night; not too shabby!

Check-in was easy as well as check out. Front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. The gentleman at the front desk was kind and cordial noticing it was my birthday at check-in and wished me a Happy Birthday which was nice. If you're a Bonvoy Marriott Member they provide you with two complimentary bottles of water upon check-in. I forgot to ask for a late check out when I checked in. But the front desk lady that answered my phone call while we were out on our 3rd night stay kindly prepped our keys and arranged for a late check out for us as a Bonvoy Marriott member ( as long as availability permitted). I like Springhill suites because they are very spacious, have complimentary breakfast and parking. This specific hotel seemed to be overall in good condition. However, make sure to check that your room's plumbing is in working order prior to settling in. We usually do,but we were in a rush to make our dinner reservations. When we returned to take a shower, half the water was still coming out the tub faucet as well as the shower head with the knob pulled up. My sister was able to tweak it so there was a 1/4 water coming out of the tub faucet. We notified the front desk, however we couldn't switch rooms because they were all booked with a convention or large group booked. They did offer to send the plumber/engineer to take a look. Unfortunately, they didn't have the part in stock to fix it. The engineer/plumber offered to come back on Friday to fix it when the part would most likely arrive since it needed to be fixed anyway, but we declined to not interrupt our stay. Overall, the room was clean, however the night stand was bit on the beat up side. Not a big deal, but would have been nice to have been updated. The more crucial furniture was updated such as the pull out sofa which looked rather new as detected by the condition of the pull out sofa bed which the mattress looked pretty clean and new. The downside, was not having daily room cleaning which isn't uncommon nowadays due to low staffing. However, it would have been nice to have housekeeping empty the trash out on the daily. The hotel is located in an industrial type area but close to a lot of activities and restaurants. Frying pan farm is only a 9 minute drive and is free! I recommend checking it out! I've always liked Hampton Inns and have stayed in them in many cities and it's why I booked here this time. However this is the first time I had to use the airport shuttle service and the experience is far from good. The service is on demand only, which means you have to call as they don't make scheduled rounds like many others do. Which should have been fine - many hotels have the same system and it always worked. However it didn't work here because for over half an hour no one answered the phone. Then someone answered and said they'll contact the driver and put me on hold forever so I had to hang up and try again. Eventually the front desk answered and said the shuttle would be there in 15 minutes. It took another 30 minutes. Altogether it took almost 1.5 hours before I finally got to the hotel. When I asked why they didn't answer the phone I was first told they were busy, then they said I must have dialed the wrong number which made no logical sense because I'd only dialed one number and that's the same one that was eventually answered. So while the hotel room quality is similar to other Hampton Inns the shuttle service is shockingly bad. Bottom line - don't stay here if you have to be picked up at the airport. Plenty of other Dulles airport hotels have scheduled shuttles and those are much more reliable - we literally saw countless other hotel shuttles pass by repeatedly while waiting forever for the one from this hotel and wished we didn't make the mistake of booking at this hotel.

They had some long-term or very frequent guests who are known by the staff and were greeted accordingly when they came into the hotel or arrived at breakfast. Being my first time didn't keep the friendly staff from asking how I was, where I was visiting from, and whether I needed anything. The breakfast was good and convenient for the location -- the complex that this hotel sits in has surprisingly limited food options and I was using rideshares to get anywhere on this trip.
