The two times I went down to the front desk becasue no one was picking up the young girl was on her personal cell phone just sat not answering the front desk phone. She had very little urgency in helping. This is not the service I expect from a Marriott property. Very very disappointing. Maybe extra training is needed.

The TV was big the for the room size and it also gives you the option to stream through your phone but also has plenty of channels to watch. The sectional couch which is also a pull out bed isn't comfy. The bathroom is nice and spacious and the shower is too and the pressure is great. The free breakfast is not so great, but it did the job. Hire better cooks! The outside area is nice to sit around and talk any time of the day. This is a great place to stay in all regards. My room had a concealed defect in the flooring beneath the rug that caused me to trip and fall into the couch. The room telephone also did not work, and the bathroom light flickered. I reported these problems and repeatedly contacted the hotel and Sonesta Customer Care seeking an appropriate resolution. I received only an approximately 10% adjustment. On August 14, Sonesta closed my complaint, stating that the hotel had identified the trip hazard and that I had already been compensated. Identifying the hazard does not erase the fact that I was placed in an unsafe room, nor does a small adjustment adequately resolve the condition of the room and the poor handling of my complaint. I requested that this matter be reconsidered and asked for a refund of the remaining charges, but the hotel has not provided a satisfactory resolution. Guests should be able to expect a safe room and a meaningful response when a hazardous condition is reported. Based on both the condition of my room and the way this complaint was handled, I cannot recommend this establishment.

At no point did she show any concern for the situation we had been put in or make any effort to help. Travel delays are stressful enough without being treated with disrespect. Front desk staff are often the first and only people guests interact with, and basic kindness and professionalism should be expected. Being tired travelers stranded far from the airport did not earn us even the smallest amount of compassion. What disappointed me most wasn't the overbooking--it was the complete lack of humanity. We didn't deserve to be spoken to with attitude for a situation we had no control over. This was, without question, one of the worst customer service experiences I've had

I had reserved a Concierge Level King room at the Crowne Plaza Princeton Conference Center. When I arrived, housekeeping was still putting the finishing touches on it. The front desk radioed upstairs for an update and received only silence in return. There followed a few minutes of small talk, awkward smiles, and the peculiar sort of waiting that seems to stretch time itself. Then Jennifer looked at me and said, "You've stayed with us before, haven't you?" I nodded. "You're Platinum Elite?" Another nod. She thought for a moment and said, "Let's put him in the Presidential Suite." There are moments in life when the universe decides to be unexpectedly generous, and this was one of them. Many years ago I lived in Plainsboro. My first apartment there was a modest one bedroom third floor walk up. This suite was larger, significantly so. There was a huge living room, a dining table that could comfortably seat six, a kitchen area with a bar, and a spacious bedroom with a king bed. Then there was the bathroom, which felt less like a bathroom and more like a monument to indoor plumbing. The shower featured multiple shower panels and a waterfall shower head to go along with the handheld one. It also thoughtfully included bench seating inside, because surely I wasn't the only one who had considered spending enough time in it that a rest was warranted. The tub was so large and deep that a person could probably spend an entire afternoon contemplating their place in the universe in it. The room was, in a word, amazing. The property itself sits on a huge wooded area with streams and a private lake, with walking trails winding through the grounds. During an early evening stroll I crossed paths with a deer, who seemed entirely unbothered by my presence. The hotel also offers a huge indoor lap pool, an enormous fitness center, squash courts, tennis courts, and an indoor basketball court. It feels less like a hotel recreation center and more like a small summer camp hidden away in the wings. What surprised me most was how complete the experience felt. The hotel is directly connected to a substantial conference center featuring dozens of meeting rooms and a large amphitheater. I spent the following day working a conference there, and the facility was exceellent. Everything was well organized, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed for people who need to gather, learn, and occasionally drink too much coffee. I arrived expecting a nice business hotel room. I left after spending a night in a suite bigger than my first apartment, walking beside a lake, and wondering if Jennifer at the front desk had any idea how much joy she had created with one simple decision. We didn't hear a thing--she really looked out for us! The room itself was great. The bed was super comfortable, and honestly, that was one of the nicest flat-screen TVs I've ever seen in a hotel. I'd come back just to binge-watch a movie weekend-style! The toiletries provided (soap, shampoo, conditioner) were also high-quality--not the typical watered-down hotel basics. As a kind gesture, the front desk associate even offered us a drink credit at the bar because she knew the hotel might be busier than usual with kids. In our experience, though, it was peaceful and relaxing. We were only there for one night, so we didn't get a chance to check out the pool or fitness center, but based on everything else, I'm sure they're just as great.
