Pool & Marina water view from our room balcony.
    Anton B.

Hotel is nice and clean and great staff. Decent breakfast options. We stayed for two nights for our daughter's wedding at Villa Woodbine.

Cracked tile poses safety hazard will cut your feet. Definitely if you're walking barefoot in the room, very outdated bathroom as well

Title: Save your money -- stay at the Faro Blanco Resort side, not the Marriott Courtyard We chose the Marriott Courtyard at Faro Blanco expecting Marriott quality and a true resort experience. Unfortunately, that is not what you get here -- especially for nearly $500 a night. Here's the reality: The property is split into two very different sides. The Courtyard side (where Marriott guests stay) is clearly older and more worn, while the Faro Blanco Resort/Yacht Club side is noticeably newer and better maintained -- and often about $100 cheaper per night. Our room on the Courtyard side had: * Very worn, outdated carpet * Thin walls -- you can hear normal conversations from the next room * Overall dated feel that does not justify the price To make matters worse, many of the amenities heavily promoted in marketing -- including the lighthouse restaurant -- are on the other property, not where your room is located. This creates a very misleading expectation when booking. Dining was another disappointment. The pool bar on the Courtyard side used dirty laminated menus, while the other side had cleaner, newer menus and a much better atmosphere. At this price point, guests shouldn't have to "find the good side of the resort." Even more surprising: You cannot charge meals or drinks to your Marriott room, despite staying at what is marketed as a resort property. That alone makes this feel far from a premium experience. We were also told there is a strict 36-hour early checkout penalty, even when expressing dissatisfaction with the room. Bottom line: This property is trading on the Marriott name and Keys location, not on quality. If you're coming here, skip the Marriott Courtyard entirely and stay at the Faro Blanco Resort side instead -- you'll likely save around $100 per night and get a noticeably better experience. Nice location, but the value simply is not there.

The location is great plenty of parking, close to restaurants, and Publix isn't too far either. The pool is fantastic, and there's also a quieter side where you can relax and enjoy the view without the crowds. Overall, it was a wonderful stay. Thank you!

The resort is well maintained and the amenities are spectacular! They have so much to do it's a beautiful location! The front desk clerk made our check-in process so easy and she was a delight to work with!! She shared some insight to the resort to help us really get the most out of our stay. Very nice decorated. Had balcony. Pool, was like bath water. Felt so good. I would highly recommend this for your next trip to the Keys!

We chose to stay at this hotel on a recent visit to the Keys where I had to stay in Marathon and I enjoyed myself. It's conveniently located right before the Seven Mile Bridge with many shops and restaurants situated nearby. The property was beautiful, well kept, and clean. I liked the location at the Faro Blanco resort area. There is a nightly happy hour special and the sunsets here are stunning! The beds were very comfortable and the close proximity to the seven mile bridge and the end of Key West make this an ideal location to be in close but not stay in the middle of the action. It was explained to me that some people stay in Marathon to be in close proximity to Key West without being in the heart of all the hustle and bustle. I would definitely stay here again during my travels to the Keys.

"2 queen with view" I guess they didn't say a view of what.

We arrived late at night. Traffic. Room was clean. The beach sauce was nice. We were in our room less than 12 hours so the resort fee seemed high. I also ordered on Expedia "2 queen with view" (see attached photo) and got a view of a parking lot and hotel. The bed was nice and firm.

The night paradise turned into a nightmare... After 12 long hours of travel, 5 flying and 7 driving, we finally made it to what we thought would be our dream vacation in the Keys. Just as we were about to fall asleep, the fire alarms went off. There was a fire. We had to run outside into the cold, half-dressed, scared, and completely exhausted. What happened next was even worse. We stood outside for almost two hours with no updates, no help, nothing. Firefighters had blocked the exit, so we couldn't even leave. My son was shivering, my kids were scared and crying, and I saw other families in the same situation. We went to a smaller lobby to try and calm the kids down, but it was packed. When they asked for water, I had to pay $10 for a small bottle. The staff didn't offer any support or even check on the guests. When we were finally allowed back in, the hotel smelled like smoke, and the carpets were wet. No one apologized. No one said a word. I understand the fire wasn't their fault. But how they handled the situation--especially for a hotel that calls itself "luxury"--was honestly very disappointing. Choose this hotel if you must. But know that when things go wrong, you may find yourself truly on your own. Thankfully, the rest of our vacation was amazing. But that first night? We'll never forget it, and not in a good way.

Clean, convenient, and shared amenities with Faro Blanco next door. There are two pools (including an infinity pool), large yard games, coin operated laundry, and a beautiful gym. We are in a king room with a partial ocean view, and a walk out patio. I am a Marriott fan anyways, and this Courtyard does not disappoint. Only feedback is that it could have been cleaner. We found somebody else's old jar of Tostitos spinach dip in the mini fridge- which is a very small fridge. And it seemed very old and crusty, so may have been there for a bit.

GEM OF A PROPERTY!!!! My family and I have been coming here for years. This little private oasis has out beat " luxurious" hotels in my opinion. The staff is wonderful, the hotel has a beautiful clean signature sent that really give the vacation vibe. The rooms are always clean and the beds are comfortable. They are not dog friendly, they do have a service animal exception though. They are located right next to a beautiful marina which makes a great evening walk. The food on property has never been outstanding so I do recommend going out, unless you're looking for just a poolside snack. The bar is great, they have movies most evenings. Two pools to enjoy, in prime location off the overseas highway just a punch south of the turtle hospital. The rates are more than reasonable. If you are wondering if this is a good fit to stay for a few nights, please book here and experience it yourself. It is pure serenity.

Used Resort Pass to spend a day by the pool on a Sunday. The hotel is very nicely well-kept. Everything is clean. The lounge chairs at the pool were not the most comfortable and the pool itself is not that big. What really makes this place awesome is the beautiful view and breeze from the water. There is no beach but you can walk down a small dock and see parrot fish swimming by. It was very peaceful. Later on in the day it filled up with families. The music was very "hotel lobby" type but there was a man with a guitar setting up for the sunset hours when we were leaving. Looks like they have many things to do like bike rentals and outdoor movies if you do stay here which is nice. The food and drinks were standard for a hotel. I did enjoy my grouper sandwich even though it was rather pricy. Definitely a nice and inexpensive way to spend a day in the Keys.

A really, really nice hotel with modern accommodations right along the waters of Marathon! This is a pretty pristine hotel, without being too high brow where it feels snobby. There's just good vibes, like everyone is on island time and there to relax. Their back pool area is just awesome, they have a hot tub as well and it all backs right up to the water, so the view is spectacular. There's a bar that serves food at the pool too, so if you don't feel like going anywhere you can just grab a bite there. The hotel is walking distance to quite a few other restaurants and shops along Marathon. They don't serve free breakfast at all which is unfortunate and kind of inconvenient, I mean they have a coffee bar where you can purchase food but yeah. The rooms are very nice, always clean and overall this is a great place to stay during your keys getaway.

Definitely a 5 star hotel, but I had to take off a point for housekeeping issues. Check-in was smooth! Upon entering there was a nice scent and open seating and a Starbucks. The front desk manager was super nice and very attentive! My voice was completely gone and I was unable to speak but that didn't cause any issues because I was provided with all information and more. There's nightly activities and room service. Staff here are AMAZING! Andres and Carlina were phenomenal and very helpful! There's two pools on site and a hot tub. They have nightly movie night and my favorite was the eventide activities. There's pools were super clean and had the best views. Nightly live music and inflatable lounge area. My room was spacious. The rooms have a microwave, tv and mini fridge. Now, and I had to takeoff a point because it was clear that my floor was not vacuumed as there was garbage on the side of the bed and one of the lamps had someone's hair and also the bathroom could use a light sweeping.

It even had a wet bar with an extra sink and an outdoor patio area with a couple of chairs and a small table. There was also a larger-than-average fridge, microwave, and safe. Possibly my favorite thing about Hampton Inns is the included breakfast. It's so convenient to have a wide selection of foods available to start your day. There's always some meat (typically sausage patties or bacon), eggs (typically scrambled or frittatas), and breakfast potatoes; oatmeal, yogurt, and some toppings; cereal (frosted flakes, cheerios, and I forget the last one) and milk; bagels, bread, and toppings (cream cheese, butter, jam, etc.); fruit (typically bananas and apples); waffle batters (vanilla and a rotating flavor like blueberry or banana) and an iron; juice (typically OJ and apple or POG); and I'm probably missing other things. There is ice, hot and cold water, tea, and coffee available 24/7. Other amenities include a pool, tiki bar that serves drinks and food in the pool area, room service, a decent gym, and a little dock where iguanas like to hang out throughout the day. Service was excellent. Parking is $10/night with in and out privileges and there are plenty of stalls. And because of the layout of the hotel which only has 2 levels of rooms, you may be able to park right outside your room's patio door.

Our room and the property overall were very nice, but I have to say it appears our room's wood floors hadn't been cleaned very well because our white socks would get very dirty immediately upon walking on them. Couple of pools with water views; one by each building. Between the buildings are a restaurant, some boat docks, and a shop with guest services like boating, snorkeling, diving, etc. (all additional costs of course). The restaurant on the property was really good, as was the restaurant directly across the highway from the hotel, so you've got options if you don't want to drive or want to have some adult beverages. Complementary breakfast in the front building, but it can be very busy and hard to get a table sometimes. $20 per day for parking is a bit ridiculous to me; land in Marathon isn't at a premium like in Key West. Great Stay With Some Service & Logistics Gaps…read more Overall, we had a genuinely great experience as first-time visitors traveling without kids but with service animals. The property shines in many areas, especially if you're looking for a relaxing resort atmosphere with beautiful water views, pet-friendly accommodations, and a fun, laid-back vibe. That said, there were a few frustrating misses that held this back from being a 5-star stay. THE GOOD * Beautiful beach & lagoon area - Easily one of the highlights of the property. Relaxing, scenic, and fun overall. * Salt + Ash is a must - Exceptional food and one of the best dining experiences on property. The wine selection was top-notch and the beef tenderloin was outstanding. Easily our favorite restaurant. * Incredible staff throughout the resort - Bell staff, valet, oceanfront servers, housekeeping crew, and pool staff were consistently kind, personable, and welcoming. * Staff who go above and beyond - Huge shoutout to Joshua, who helped us secure chairs near the adult pool, and Danielle, who took time to chat, swap stories, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Hospitality like that sticks with you. * Captain's Suite is worth the upgrade - Strongly recommend spending the extra money if budget allows. The added space made the trip: dining area, living room, fridge, two toilets, large balcony, and beautiful water views overlooking the pool and lagoon. It elevated the experience tremendously. * Extremely pet & service animal friendly - This place deserves serious praise here. Few resorts feel this comfortable and accommodating for travelers with animals. Staff were respectful, welcoming, and there were no awkward restrictions or friction. If you travel with pets or service animals, this property stands out. * Tiki Grill - Great atmosphere for drinks and relaxing. Perfect for unwinding poolside. * 20% off dining on property helped offset costs - Appreciated perk considering resort pricing. THE NOT-SO-GOOD * Front desk communication & housekeeping logistics need work - This was our biggest frustration. We stayed in a Captain's Suite and requested both a room cleaning and balcony cleaning (bird droppings had accumulated on the balcony) around 10 AM. The front desk wrote down our room number and assured us it would be taken care of. When we returned around 3:30 PM, neither had been done. By after 4:30 PM, the room had finally been cleaned, but the balcony still hadn't been addressed. When you pay extra for a premium room and oceanfront balcony experience, this feels disappointing. There also seems to be a mild pigeon issue, and balcony maintenance should really be part of a regular checklist. Some simple bird deterrents or more proactive cleaning would go a long way. * Concierge/text support didn't materialize - We were told we'd receive a concierge-style welcome text shortly after check-in for support/questions. Unfortunately, we never received it. To make matters worse, the room phones didn't work, meaning concerns had to be addressed in person while waiting in the front desk line. * Food quality was inconsistent - Salt + Ash was phenomenal, but not every dining experience matched that standard. Tiki Grill: Great drinks and atmosphere, but the food was forgettable, under-seasoned, and not something we'd order again. Fine in a pinch. Angler & Ale: Beautiful waterfront views and exceptional staff, but the food leaned heavily fried and felt more like average bar food than resort dining. Fish and chips were disappointing. Oddly enough, the banana split ended up redeeming the meal. * Convenience store prices were shocking - Convenient? Yes. Affordable? Not even close. A few sodas and snacks escalated to $60+ surprisingly fast. I expected a slightly easier option versus restaurant pricing, but the markup felt extreme. * Parking costs add up - Valet runs about $40/day and self-parking is roughly half, but expect around a 10-minute walk with luggage, making valet feel almost mandatory. FINAL THOUGHTS Despite some communication breakdowns and uneven food experiences, we truly enjoyed our stay. The Captain's Suite, peaceful balcony views, fire pit at night, lagoon, beach access, pickleball, and pet-friendly atmosphere made for memorable moments. My advice: upgrade to the Captain's Suite, eat at Salt + Ash (seriously, get the beef tenderloin), enjoy the tiki drinks, walk the grounds, soak in the sun, and be selective about food choices elsewhere. Use the convenience store sparingly. Fix the housekeeping/communication gaps, improve how guests can raise concerns without standing in line, and clean those balconies consistently--and this place could easily become a 5-star destination.

Throughout our stay, whenever we requested something outside of the standard offerings, even when we offered to pay, the answer was simply "no," with no effort to find a solution. Great hospitality is about finding ways to say "yes" whenever possible. A few suggestions: * If you're going to offer late checkout, disclose the fee before asking if guests are interested (also $100 for 1hr later is absolutely absurd). * Consider allowing the restaurant to prepare guests' fresh catch, not just mahi-mahi. Many visitors come to the Keys specifically to fish and would love to enjoy what they caught that day. * When our room wasn't ready, we left refrigerated groceries with the front desk. Unfortunately, not all of them were returned, and we didn't discover items were missing until later. Better procedures for storing and returning guests' belongings would prevent this. Tranquility Bay has the potential to be a truly exceptional resort. A more flexible, guest-first approach to customer service would make all the difference.
