Looks like they painted the exterior of this building. I was not expecting much but booked a room here last minute after my flight got cancelled and I must say, it was very nice. Room was clean and spacious. Walk in shower which I prefer. I didn't spend much time here but check in was easy, everything worked and HVAC was responsive (my main complaint with Marriott). It's close to my new office so I passed this info on to my local team for others coming into town. I would recommend. read more

Customer Service from the Management Team was horrible. I have been going to Marriott hotels since 2019, and we have never had a problem with checking in. This time they informed us of a new policy where my wife with the same last name same credit card number same address could not check in since my name was on the reservation. It caused quite the stress for my wife, and the staff (mainly David the general manager) didn't treat my wife with a level of customer service we have received at other Marriott properties. When I arrived, I asked for the owner's information and the nice staff member went to the back office where the general manager was for a few minutes, only to come back out with a Post-it note that had member services number on it. She then informed me that the owner, Venkata Nattam, doesn't need to talk to me, that rules are rules, and I can take my concerns to member services. The general manager knew I was in the lobby and didn't come out to tell me this himself- instead he sends out the front desk staff who was kind enough to let me know the owner would be in the next day. The next day, after I checked out and waiting a few minutes, I was able to speak to Mr. Nattam who told me he has a management team that deals with all the issues and that's why he suggested I go to member services with my complaint. Even after I asked him if he wanted to know how his staff treats customers at his property, he still "passed the buck". The general manager, David, finally comes out from the back when the owner is speaking to me which allowed the owner to excuse himself and pass me to the general manager- the staff member responsible for the terrible service in the first place. Meeting him finally for the first time, I shake his hand and introduce myself. He wasn't receptive to my perception of the event and eventually asked me to leave, kicking me out while offering his assistance to find another property to finish my stay (he wasn't aware that I had already checked out). I left after exchanging apologies (his was not authentic) and offered to shake his hand, and he refused saying "I'm good." Aside from this, other things that made this stay terrible - water pressure is terrible for showers, toilets also aren't high pressure flushing so toilet paper by itself will clog the toilet, bathtub has stains where tub meets tile, hair on the bathroom floor upon arrival that wasn't my family's, housekeeping knocking on our door even with the "do not disturb" door hanger hanging outside, and the beautiful fire pit in the back didn't work - no fire. Only good aspects of the hotel was the other front desk staff- who unfortunately have to work at this establishment under the oversight of the general manager and owner. After staying at many Marriotts the past several years, I encourage all to avoid this property with amount of other options in the Indy area. read more

Very comfortable bed Lots of close parking Room kept a good temperature Quick & easy Check In/Out Safe facility Cons: Some rooms have a microwave and some don't. I requested one my 1st day here and then again my 3nd day, stayed for a total 4 days & never got a microwave in my room. Had to go all the way to the lobby and wait to use that microwave. Very gross coffee maker in the room. Pool was closed most of the time I was here. Bar/Bistro was not what I expected and was often no one there to serve you during their "open hours", the front desk ended up making me things but didn't know what they we're doing. Walls are very thin, you can hear everything in the rooms next to you, I kept the T.V. or music on the whole time even when sleeping so I didn't have to hear my neighbors. Overall pretty disappointed, for the money I spent I expected a lot better. read more

We've never had such amazing service! Our family is scattered across the country and we all came to Indianapolis for a memorial service and chose this location to stay. The front desk, especially Phil, were the most welcoming and helpful I've ever experienced...and we travel quite frequently. Thank you to Phil for such amazing service and caring that our stay was the best it could be! A convenient Starbucks is right inside the lobby with a nice selection of food to choose from and it also doubles as a bar. A cozy fireplace and a big screen tv with plenty of outlets in the lobby were a nice plus! The rooms are spacious and have a flat screen tv. I will say if you get a room with one bed, the tv is to the side of the bed but if you get a room with two queens the tv is in the front of the beds which makes it easier to watch tv. Minor detail since we weren't in the room watching tv for very long. The room was very clean and had plenty of pillows and even more upon request. You have your own thermostat and the heat and air are easily controlled. I know the hotel has a pool and a gym but we didn't use them. My husband used their business center and the wifi worked great on our room and the lobby. Finally a hotel with good free wifi! Would definitely stay here again. read more

I will not be staying at this hotel again. Booked 2 nights and they shut off both of my keys after the first night and when I went to the front desk they asked me if I booked 1 or 2 nights. When I told them I booked 2 they reactivated my keys. Also the room we were staying in had a bunch of ants crawling all over the walls and around the door on the first floor. This hotel needs some serious maintenance because it is disgusting. read more

Left an item in my room after check out and realized once we arrived home (two hours drive) and called immediately. Was assured by the desk that they have my item, took my address, and will mail it. Two weeks later I called to inquire about the status of my item and spoke with the same man. He put me on hold, forwarded me to a new person (without warning) who had no clue about this situation. She called me back and had found my item, but needs my credit card information to take to the post office to send??!!!! what?? I'm not giving my card info to a stranger to take and use at their discretion. I've been waiting WEEKS and this whole time it's sitting in a box and no mention was made of payment weeks ago. They will not go any further than the barest minimum to get your business. They don't care. Will never stay there again and will tell everyone I know about this scam hotel. read more

100% DO NOT book your wedding block here. Shuttle stranding my bride, my guest, and parents at the Venue. The even handed out papers telling my guest the times the shuttle would run and the shuttle did not do that. We had to end up calling 8 ubers after about a hour of being stranded as the hotel refused to do anything. The employees on duty that night were not even informed that a shuttle was running to deliver guest to the hotel. We were hung up on when we called to ask what was going on with the shuttles. I had the the pleasure of seeing my bride in her wedding dress crying upset as she talked to the front desk asking what happened. Every other company we dealt with on our wedding day and night delivered the hotel who had a very simple job did not. They didn't even feel it was info of enough importance to inform their own employees of a service they had running that night. read more

I usually stay at courtyard or residence inn, that's why I picked this location even though it's 35 min to airport. The checkin is good and fun process with the man, he's really helpful answer all my question. I got extra towels as I requested. After I'm done shower I open one of bath towels and see a big dirty spot on it, it's really visible like dried blood, that's scared me. I took some picture of that and bring the towel to front desk the next early morning to check out, I told the lady about the towel, she doesn't even ask or say sorry for the problem, she just ignore what I say and just ask if I need the receipt.That's the worst service I've ever received with courtyard. Because I have a flight early so I can't stay to ask her to explain for her ignorance about the dirty towel. Never stay here again. read more

5 stars keeping in mind that it's a Courtyard Marriott....not the Ritz. But, I've stayed in places significantly more expensive and not received the friendly service we did at this Courtyard Marriott. Caitlyn (sp?) could not have been more helpful and friendly. I did not get the young ladies name who check us in, but we didn't arrive until well after mid-night, and she was incredibly sweet as well. The hotel was packed with teenagers in for some big baseball tournament yet we had no problems. Just wanted to send a sincere welcome to that team...keep up the great work. What was cool: - free and big parking lot - rooms have balcony - free wi-fi + possibility to buy "high speed" for 5$ / day What wasn't that nice: - the room in general..It looked that it was 2in1 - part of the room newly renovated and part of the room old and needed reconditioning - bathroom - i think the worst hotel bathroom ( from a 3 stars hotel ) I ever experienced ( no fan / the sink was outside the bathroom - like a "French" bathroom - so in the morning if you want to use the sink you will certainly bother your "room-mate" -mini market from the hotel crazy expensive - for ex a bottled water 5$ - the room had a balcony that i think was never ever cleaned ( inclusively the chairs and the table) Unfortunately it was one of the few 3/4 stars hotels in Indianapolis available at the time.. If I had to go back I wouldn't choose this hotel again read more

It is based on the fact that I was automatically charged $20, plus the bill was rounded up to the nearest 10 for "incidentals", which I didn't use, and for which I wasn't refunded. Very Poor Insulation. Room was average for a Courtyard. Troubling thing was that the front desk called stating there was a complaint regarding loud music from my room. Room TV was on as was my laptop with a Youtube video. Volumes were normal viewing/listening levels. Time was 10:30pm-ish so as a courtesy, I decreased my volume. After doing so, I could hear numerous people, possible children as well, walking, stomping, talking and yelling from the room directly above me. I don't think the people above me were carrying on inappropriately, however, the noise insulation from one floor to another is terrible. The day prior, I could hear someone speaking from within a room across for me. I won't stay hear again. The lobby was very nice. Check in personnel were very nice. Person at the front desk I spoke to regarding the noise complaint wasn't very accommodating. Didn't seem concerned at all about the footsteps, that can still be heard at 11:46pm as I'm writing this. I work for a large, nearby company and visit for business very often. I will not stay at this property again. I've cancelled the remainder of this reservation and will move to a different hotel. Front desk seemed more than happy to let me cancel my reservation. I addressed the issue of thin insulation but only received a reply that they'd be happy to let me check out early. read more

Do not stay here! The shower is a joke. I pulled for the shower and ripped the handle off the wall. It, obviously, had been done many times before me from the amount of caulk residue in the shower. It was totally inoperable and unusable. So, no shower before the big meeting. Not the way to start the day. For the price, stay somewhere else!!! read more

I feel like I have written a lot of the same hotel review lately. Spoiler alert - there are more coming after this one. Although I think price here was a little high, I did book somewhat last minute. In any case, the hotel was comfortable, with clean rooms and a comfy bed, plus good shower water pressure, so I really have no complaints. Well, I guess, I wish there had been bathroom ventilation. Another for the list! I also wish that given the price, breakfast was included, but they did have a good (if not also a little expensive) little breakfast bar thing with sandwiches and coffee. Maybe there was a package rate that included a breakfast voucher and I missed it when booking. read more

This is the worst Marriott property I have stayed in to date. Stuck our family of four into a one bedroom room with a couch (although I'm positive I booked a two queen room), and didn't have any pillows or blankets for guests because they were full of guests. Slept on a couch with no pillows or blankets at a Marriott, like sleeping in a $10 a night european hostel. Not up to Marriott standards and clearly cutting corners on amenities due to COVID. Won't be staying here ever again nor putting any of my family there for future visits and reunions. Should rename this place crapyard. read more

Rooms were nice, staff was great. However, no breakFast that I could see. I have heard there were bags with granola bars etc in them, but I never saw them. Also due to COVID there was no pool and no room service until your 4th day.We were required by the baseball tournament we were in to stay here and I think prices were very inflated. The price quoted online was 159.00 a night. Upon checkout I was charged 165.00 a night plus $27.88 in taxes and fees for EVERY NIGHT. When I returned to the desk they happily refunded the extra 17.00 I was charged. So the 159 price per night you see online is actually almost $187.00 per night. read more

I'm 34 years old and I've stayed at hundreds of hotels and I can honestly say that this was the worst hotel experience of my life. They have a parking lot up front and one in the back. If you take nothing else from this review please make sure that you park in the front because mine and two other cars in the back were robbed! It's not well lit back there and apparently the Marriott thinks that security cameras are a little too pricey. I will give their hotel staff credit for vacuuming out my glass window pieces and taping up my window for our three hour trip with our two babies back to Chicago. The person who was helping us informed us however that a robbery just like this had happened just months ago!! Why didn't they add security features, why didn't they have you park up front if you could. Last but not least we've not been offered any type of restitution. Shame on you Marriott. $800 dollars worth of stuff was taken and you think a free stale bagel and cup of coffee will smooth it over. I don't think so. Expensive for a Courtyard. Staff doesn't know their facility. The desk clerk volunteered the rooms were on the south wing, when in fact they were on the north wing. Door locks unreliable. Took several swipes to get into the rooms. Rooms fine, but have not been updated since Marriott rolled out the Courtyard brand in the 1980's. The so called bar closes early. The Ale Emporium across the street is a noisy dive where conversation is not possible. The Courtyard's pricey breakfasts got mixed reviews from my group. All agreed the breakfast staff was poorly trained and blind to their errors. The service was slow. There were multiple errors in table delivery in spite of conspicuous number tags provided by the facility. I observed two other parties having to ask for forks. read more

I rarely book a room at full price through the hotel website and this hotel epitomizes why. I was in a hurry and did not seek out cheaper deals and I wish I would have. The price I paid for a King suite would have been fine in a really nice hotel, however, this is not a really nice hotel. It looks fine and there was a lot of room in the suite, however, the bed was one of the most uncomfortable beds I have ever had in a hotel. It was definitely not what you would expect for the price. The bathroom was tiny and the walls were thin allowing me to hear people in the halls at all hours of the night. The air turning on was so loud that it would jar you out of a dead sleep every time it came on. The "Bistro" at the hotel was a joke. Frozen foods were being reheated and they were charging ridiculous prices. By far the worst thing, however, was what we experienced as soon as we opened the doors to check in. The smell that we encountered walking in was absolutely disgusting. All around the front desk area and worst of all the restaurant area the smell of what appeared to be sewer was pervasive. It was so bad that we would not even consider eating at the restaurant even if the food had not been reheated frozen pizzas. The smell did not get any better either as it remained throughout the night and into the next morning. I honestly do not know how anyone was able to eat there. read more
