This is one of the best Courtyards I have visited from an aesthetic standpoint. The room was really nice and the shower was quite cool. The toilet seat was twisted so that dampened the otherwise nice room. The front desk staff were very nice and helped elevate the stay. The only issue was the housekeeping staff. When I checked in, about 30 minutes later they attempted to enter my room with a brief announcement "housekeeping" and an attempt to enter a mere one second later. It was about 3pm so I'm not sure why they were trying to enter, but I'm glad I had the latch on that stopped him. The next morning, there were what sounded like a couple of housekeeping ladies talking and laughing loudly. This was disturbing as I was trying to get my last bit of rest and I am not used to such jovial staff outside the door interrupting the otherwise peaceful morning. But for the housekeeping department and the toilet, this would have been a 5-star experience. read more

Good place. Good location. Came here for a weekend in the Berkshires and I found the location to be convenient. The staff here were very nice. The decor is really nice. Everything was really clean. They had outlets and usb ports in each of the nightstands which was really useful. The fitness center is small, but standard for a hotel and clean. Our room had a microwave and a decent sized fridge. There's also a pool. The shower was a little weird. There's a half glass wall - no door to close it. The water got all over the floor. There was no way to keep that from happening since there was such a large opening. The bath mat didn't suffice either, we had to leave towels on the floor - it was soaked. The heat/ac unit - there's a wall thermostat, which controls a unit that's in 1 wall. There's no auto option to set a temperature and let it choose heat or AC. You had to choose 1 or the other. It was a little tricky to get the room temperature right. In the middle of the night it seemed to get very hot. The TV has Netflix, HBO, YouTube, Pandora integrated which was convenient. For Netflix you do need an account to sign in with. HBO didn't require an account. The room was overall pretty comfortable. However, the walls are really thin. We could hear so much walking upstairs it woke us up in the early in the morning. I was really surprised by that. We could also hear talking from a neighboring room in the bathroom. Because of the noise & shower issue, it's a 3 star instead of a 4. If I'm in the area again, I might stay here, but only if I could be on the top floor so to not hear any noise above that would disrupt sleep. read more

This hotel is still pretty new and you can tell when you stay here. We had a room at the end of the hall on the second floor which was nice as it helped minimize the sound of other guests walking around. Bathroom had a single sink but had a large counter space which was great. Shower was HUGE and clean. Room itself wasn't very large but if you're just using it to sleep or relax then it should be just fine for 2 people. TV wasn't anything massive but it was a smart tv so you can link your youtube/netflix account to it which was something I haven't seen in a hotel before. Probably the only real hitch was the AC unit. I don't know if it was because we were at the end of the hallway (thus our window was situated next to the vents) but when the AC unit kicked on it was pretty noticeably loud (sounded like a mini jet engine if that makes sense). Fortunately the bed was on the opposite wall so it didn't disturb us (well, it didn't disturb me anyways since i'm a heavy sleeper). Fitness room was adequate for the size of the hotel (only people of the same room allowed in there at a time). Reservations are needed to use the pool. The outdoor seating area is available to all guests and looked quite nice since it had an outdoor fire pit and grill. Overall quite pleased! read more

Perfectly clean hotel and room. But they charge for coffee and breakfast on the ground floor and the prices are absurd. A 16oz coffee is $4.50 and self service. We stayed for two nights and our room was not cleaned, and we were provided only one roll of toilet paper and the last few tissues in a tissue box. There was one bar of soap and no body wash in the shower. This didn't seem to be an eco-friendly choice, but a cost cutting one--there were no mugs in the room but paper cups instead. Again, room was otherwise clean and perfectly serviceable but these cost cutting measures were noticeable and not made up for by services. read more

Brand new Marriott Courtyard and a very nice one at that. Roomy, attractive lobby with lots of comfortable seating areas and nooks; this one also has the Bistro dining area -the breakfast I had there was well cooked and good coffee! The hotel also had a nice indoor pool and a decent exercise room with treadmills and ellipticals and a full set of dumbbells. The standard king bedroom that I stayed in was clean, with sleek contemporary furnishings; the bathroom was bright and had a large shower stall. The room comes kitted with a microwave and mini-fridge stowed away in a cubby near the desk. Overall, the room was quiet and very comfortable - my only quibble was that the air conditioner/heater was a little loud every time it kicked on. Though a little further from town that the Lenox/Pittsfield Hilton Garden Inn, this Courtyard definitely gives the HGI a run for its money! read more

Not your average Courtyard!! Great location. The staff was great from check in to Bistro. Newer property. Pool, hot tub, fire pit even a grill. Bistro has Starbucks coffee and breakfast and light evening snacks and drink. Hard to beat, I would highly recommend this hotel. Enjoy. read more

This new Courtyard by Marriott is located in a central part of the Berkshires (close to downtown Lenox, Stockbridge, Lee, and Pittsfield) and still has that "new hotel smell", but it's got some kinks to work out. My wife and I decided to stay here for one night on a recent trip up to the Berkshires, and we chose this hotel because of the location, the price, and the fact that it was recently built (and because we are Marriott reward members). We chose a slight upgrade above the basic room to get some extra space for just a little extra cash. When we arrived and checked in, we loved the cozy feel of the lobby and the trendy furniture. We were given the key to our room and headed up to our floor, only to realize that we were the room next to the elevator. Since we didn't want to hear the elevator all night, we went back to the lobby and asked if we could get a room farther from the elevator, but we were told that all of the deluxe rooms are right next to the elevator. The staff member helping us was kind enough to downgrade us to a regular room and refund the difference. As it turns out, the regular room was actually quite large and more than enough space for the two of us. As with other Marriotts, the room was cozy and the bed super comfortable. Although the hotel is on a fairly major road, which we were facing, we didn't hear the street very much, which made for a good night's sleep. Although we didn't use them, you'll also find some standard amenities at the hotel, including an indoor pool, fitness center, business center and bar. The things we didn't quite like about the hotel: (1) many Marriott hotels at least have free coffee or tea in the lobby, but this one didn't offer anything more than tap water; (2) breakfast is only served until 10am, and that includes coffee; (3) again, those more expensive rooms are right next to the elevator, which I think is poor room placement. Nevertheless, this hotel serves as a great choice for an inexpensive and comfortable option in the Berkshires. read more

The bed was big and very comfortable, but the layout and furniture in the room were odd. The furnishings were overly contemporary, sacrificing functionality for a painfully modern aesthetic that was a bit cold and a surprisingly bulky curved design. Under the large Smart tv was a very large desk that ran across the entire wall. At the end of the desk were two low drawers that were too shallow to put more than a couple shirts and pants in. I get it- most people probably don't use the drawers- but traveling with an infant and living out of a suitcase is hard. Babies require multiple costume changes and I just find it easier to grab something out of a drawer. Unfortunately, I couldn't fit much more than a few onsies in there. There was also a fairly large couch in a curved, sort of hemisphere shape. Comfy, but bulky and awkward. I was pleased to have a bedside table, but the drawer was useless because the table had been jammed in sideways between the bed and wall. The shower was the worst though. It was one of those walk-in, no ledge, half glass partition standing showers. Sure, it looks cool, but by the time I was done showering, there was a tub's worth of water pooled on the bathroom floor and we had to use most of the towels to sop it up. Furthermore, I found it weird that our infant, who doesn't walk yet, could literally crawl right into the shower. Which he did. Numerous times. Whether the water was on or off. He enjoyed it, but i found it very stressful. Also- there were light switches everywhere that seemed to do nothing. Overall- it was just ok. I slept well which counts for something, the place was clean, and the price was very reasonable, but it just wasn't the best place I've ever stayed. read more

This is by far one of the best Courtyard's I've stayed in. I have been a Marriott girl for 8 years (traveling for work). Courtyards seem to be hit or miss and this is off the charts a hit. It's hard to tell it's even a Courtyard. The hotel is located off a main, yet quiet, road. If you're looking for that beige building with the red and green logo on it you just might miss this. It's a regal white building in a hill with dramatic lighting. I immediately though "people must have a lot of wedding guests stay here". I would take photos of the room and lobby but honestly it's exactly as pictured. One of the things I noticed most was how well lit everything is inside. The hallways, lobby, outside, everything is bright and clean. A regular king room is very spacious with a mounted tv and modern/simple design. The only complaint I ever have with Marriott and hotels in general are the AC units. It's on for a minute then off, then on, even when the fan is constant the AC just can't quiet get the hang of it. But if you're used to that at hotels this is 5stars for sure. The surrounding area is quiet and the rooms are quiet too - no sounds from neighbors or doors,etc. For a quiet stay that makes you feel safe and comfortable I'll certainly be back. Now I'm off the relax by the outdoor fire pit! read more

Avoid this Courtyard Marriott location! Saying this was a "horrible experience" is an understatement. I called one month in advance and asked the staff if they had Uber and/or Lyft in the area. They assured me they did. I was staying at the hotel for a concert at Tanglewood. As I was checking in, I asked if 45 minutes before the concert would be enough time to get a car and arrive at the venue ... they assured me it was. Well, 45 minutes before the concert there were NO Uber or Lyft cars available ... I called three car services in the area ... NOTHING available. Long story short, I had to ask another hotel guest for a ride to the concert! It was absolutely embarrassing! I would have had no problem renting a car, but when the staff isn't informed and claims there is reliable car service I didn't think it was necessary. I was later told by EVERYONE I met in the area that there is NO car service that is reliable in the area. If visiting ... RENT A CAR. The blonde at the front desk was probably the fakest nice person I've ever met. She also proved to be completely unhelpful and didn't seem to care as I was panicked about missing the concert. The middle-aged man who was also at the front desk couldn't care less about his job. That was clear. I love staying at Courtyard, but this location was horrible. The walls were paper thin! I was on the 3rd floor and could hear people well into the night talking at the fire pit below. The couple next to me had small children and woke me up at 6:00AM. I literally could hear EVERY word they said. Overall ... horrible, horrible experience. Stay elsewhere! read more

This Courtyard Marriott has a post-modern, Euro minimalist aesthetic; and the two rooms we've had in it (king rooms) both felt over-engineered. It is like some designer took survey results on travelers and then came up with the absolute bare minimum of space that could "satisfy" those needs We've experienced two of the rooms because this Marriott allowed someone with a "service" dog to book the room next to our first one. The series of yip-yip-yips we heard through the wall were unlike any service dog I have ever encountered, however. In any event, it was certainly nothing I wanted to hear again at any hour of the day or night, period; plus there is that little fact that we are paying $250 to stay in this room. We were given another room, although that is even smaller than the first one. No one would spend an hour sitting in this room if he had any other option whatsoever; it is engineered down to the last grudging cubic inch. The Euro shower half-unshielded has replaced a tub and shower, and, what a surprise, it sprays water out beyond the half-shield and outside the catch-basin. So the bath mat will only last one shower; tell your wife she's out of luck! And some towels will come into use for mopping up, too. Positioned on the shower half-screen are the corporate instructions on hanging your towels if you want to help Marriott save water and energy. Or leave them on the floor if you want Marriott to give you clean ones no matter what portions of water and energy are being wasted on you, you, miserable you.... Except half the towels are already on the floor sopping up the results of the poor Euro shower design! At the end of the instructions is Marriott's earnest boilerplate about wanting "to do good" in the world. First, though, Mr. Marriott, do good for your customer. Your priorities are backward and this hotel fails in its most basic functions, in my book. For the record, no coffee in the lobby, either. Pay for your Starbucks at the "Bistro" counter, customer. No profit center left unturned. read more

My wife left a sweater that had lots of sentimental value and the manager was extremely helpful in getting it back to us. He was thoughtful and quick about it. The hotel seem brand new and the rooms were very nice. The cleaning staff was friendly and efficient. I'd go back. read more

Nice Marriott, renovated, beds and pillows were comfortable. I wish the bathrooms had a fan, mirrors were covered with steam and shower really needs a door, water was all over the floor. Very nice new hotel. Room is very well laid out. Normally, I would say the room is small but I liked how they did it so well, it did not bother me. They even had two plugs for electric cars. Breakfast was not free but very well done. I would say this is a top hotel for the Berkshires. The shower was the only odd thing. They only have 1/2 door. The rest is open. However, it is a 2 person shower which makes up for it. read more

Lovely location and room. We had a suite -front facing Route 7. Advertised as separation between , but it was minimal and we needed it for sleeping child. The mattresses were lovely. The Bistro dining was abismal-do not even attempt -other places nearby. Staff was fantastic-pool was great. Hotel was only half full and they do not offer upgrade without charging or free breakfast. I would look elsewhere before staying here. read more
