We have spayed in a 2 bedroom condo twice, we love it. The grounds are beautifully taken care of whether walking on the beach or under the live oak trees. You are in Myrtle Beach but feel miles away from the buzz of the strip yet you are still near all the dining and shopping options. Within walking distance of several fun places to eat, ocean front Wet Whistle or the Black Drum. We had a wonderful ocean view in South Hampton with 2 pools. I am not joking about this. A guest was carrying two brand-new pillows in plastic and a brand-new comforter. Day 2 This place is truly disgusting. Floors, kitchen, bathrooms. Bedrooms! The primary bathroom shower alternates between hot and cold water. The only positive so far is that parking availability is exceptional. Only one of the three TVs works. The internet does pretty well; we are just using iPads. There is no way I will invest in Hilton Vacations. Day 1 First impression walking in the door was Oh man, is this place disgusting. Second impression after 10 minutes? Feels gross. Third impression after 15 minutes? What is my head next to? Fourth impression? I want to go home. The lamp doesn't even have a knob to turn on because it's missing. This place is grotesque. I don't post many bad reviews. Skip this place. Extremely Disappointed - Unit 1103 Brighton We stayed in Unit 1103 Brighton at Kingston Plantation from August 2025, and were very disappointed. The suite smelled strongly of smoke, the carpet and furniture were stained and damaged, and the king bedroom's mattress was completely worn down. The balcony furniture was rusted and broken, and it was unclear whether the chairs had mold or dirt. We chose not to raise these concerns at the beginning of our stay because we had several reservations and dinner plans with our family, wanting our children to still enjoy their vacation. Thankfully, we were able to enjoy attractions like Broadway at the Beach and Tanger Outlets, and the beach view was beautiful with a pleasant noise level. However, these positives did not make up for the unacceptable condition of the suite. Management was made aware of conditions of unit. The unit needs deep cleaning, a mattress replacement, and major repairs before being rented again. We expected better from Hilton and hope management addresses these issues so future families do not face the same experience. read more

We had got a 2 bedroom condo and we got lucky because ours was nice and not rundown, like you read in the reviews. The only reason I gave 4 stars because when I was walking out of my room somebody was about to walk in because they gave our room to someone else also. We just checked into Kingston plantation room 109LC. It's disgusting. This is a two bedroom timeshare type unit. There's dust everywhere and the walls are filthy. The kitchen floor was sticky so I took a wet paper towel to it before I thought to take a picture. I can't believe Hilton will put their name on this hotel accommodation. We used points for this stay and are incredibly disappointed. We should've called and asked for a different room but our kids were tired and we didn't really look closely until after they had gone to bed. This has a full kitchen set up but there is no dish soap, and no paper towels. There's also no Kleenex in the room. Update. We change rooms to another timeshare unit. This was in a different section of the complex. This room was much better however I'm still sticking with my one star review. The fact that Hilton would host a room of that caliber is very just disappointing. While the front desk was accommodating, they knew it advance of the rooms were not up to standard. I find It's very disconcerting that they would places in the room that they knew we would be unhappy with. I made accommodations with returning us in the Hilton points and in fact charged us $25 for the upgrade created. read more

We used booking.com to book amenities at Kingston plantation Condos by Hilton. We booked a four bedroom condo for some of our family members, also booked a two bedroom suite for other family members. When we arrived at Myrtle Beach, we were told to go to Embassy suites to check in. A little confusing with all the names but that was the least of our worries. Once we made it to check in, we found that one suite was on one side of the facility, our condo was on the opposite end. So our family members were completely separated. We got over that also. We got to the Condo. and the first thing we saw was a big dead roach in the kitchen. . We went to one bedroom and there was another roach , my husband tried to kill it and it fell behind the dresser, he pulled the dresser out to get it and found another huge roach plus so much dirt that you could tell the room hadn't been cleaned well in a while. Also the bedspread was filthy, someone has spilled coffee on the white headboard which also splashed to the wall, the staff did not even bother to wipe that up. There was pet hair all on the stairwell. The couch pillows were filthy. The bathtubs were disgusting. We called and they sent a maid to come and re-clean our bathrooms. We watched her use Clorox to try to clean the bathrooms but the dirt was so embedded, that they would not come clean. The handle in the shower was supposed to be clear but it had so much dirt embedded in there, it was actually brown.. I had to use latex gloves to turn the water off and on. Paint was chipped on the walls in almost every room. The kitchen sink faucet was completely broken. Every time we turned the water on, the entire faucet moved from the base. My husband went to the front desk to let them know the facility was not acceptable. They let us know that they did not have additional amenities to accommodate our group, and issued us a $50 credit towards food and drink. Although the staff was courteous and tried to accommodate us, we did not need a credit, we needed somewhere to relax that was clean and decent. We did not get that. So please be warned that if you stay at Windermere by the sea through Kingston plantation (building 6A) , be prepared to deal with a ridiculous amount of filth. I really wish the owners of this condo would visit it so that they know how neglected this place is. It would be beautiful if they would just clean it up and perform minimal maintenance to it. read more

Amazing resort but the wi-fi is terrible (I'm a tech geek so I am OCD about amenities pertaining to technology). Never in the history of staying at a hotel or resort have I ever had to pay for Wi-Fi. What happened to the good ole days when you could just connect and sign in hassle free to decent Wi-Fi? When I was finally able to connect, the Wi-Fi was unbearably slow. This is my only problem, as I said, the resort is amazing. You're right next to the beach, smorgasbord of food, seafood restaurants galore, and plenty of amenities to distract your kids but stuff for adults as well. Wi-Fi sucks. Breakfast is also $15 per person, which is OK until you realize you can go to IHOP or Denny's and realize the difference in price. Right now, three of my family members are with me. Including me, that's $60 for breakfast. I think I'll settle for my cup of instant coffee..... read more

Super skeptical booking online - hadn't been to Myrtle Beach in a long time went husbands work event. Was super impressed- room was clean and ready before regular check in - nice balcony - king bed and small bar area in the room. For some reason we got $50 day credit which took care of drinks at the outdoor bar one afternoon it was great and I got to use it at the Spa the next day that was off property but Fantastic (complimentary shuttle took me to the spa and picked me up right on time) Pools were also great and clean. Every staff member we encountered was super nice and helpful. Had room service one night - only a 30 minute wait which I don't think is bad at all- food was exactly how we asked for it and was all hot and tasty - was also impressed with it. Royal Palms room 607 was amazing. We stayed there for 4 days and the place is really updated with new beds, living room furniture and a paint job that makes it fresh and bright. The kitchen has all the amenities needed and the bedrooms/bathrooms are very spacious. We loved how it was right on the beach with pool access and a parking garage. Finding the plantation wasn't bad, however once you enter the gates you have to navigate through a bunch of roads, pedestrian signs and crosswalks just to get to the check in area. If you're not staying at the embassy suites and you're in one of the condos or villas you have to drive back through the loops and hoops until you get to your villa. At first glance the area is beautiful, calm, quiet, and tranquil. We had a two bedroom condo with two bathrooms overlooking a cute little pond. It was the perfect little family spot, a nice little walk from the ocean. The only reason I didn't give this place a five star review was due to the cleanliness of the condo. Spider webs hangings from the walls indicated that no was really gives this place a deep cleaning in between patrons. The bathrooms had mold and mildew around the tubs and the washer and dryer were ancient! I refused to wash my clothes in them. The resort is really nice after all, and it would have made our stay much more enjoyable had I felt safe to sleep under the sheets or even using their towels and wash cloths. They really need an overhaul of the facilities. Upgrade the rooms to make them more modern and hire a top notch cleaning crew, then maybe this will be a great resort. read more

Place is so beautiful and so big that I got lost a few times. Chalk it up to checking in after dark! Unit 15D is nice. 3 bedrooms and all 3 have a TV and a full bath! Kitchen is equipped with everything except food. Sitting area is spacey. Well kept condo in a quiet neighborhood. The only gripes I have are the parking spaces and the patio not being screened in. I guess the amount of guests in each bldg determine the parking spaces. I love the place though. Can't wait to explore the grounds tomorrow. They have an ON DEMAND shuttle that you can call to take you places, even off ground sites like Red Lobster or Marshalls! read more

I'm confused with the other reviews. Stayed in a beautiful 2 full bath, 2 bed condo nicely decorated. New Hyde park 23D. We went to the beautiful spa, had our nails done, free yoga classes and a beautiful multi million dollar gym. We also took the free shuttle (1 min ride literally) to the hotel (embassy suites) and enjoyed free cocktails from 5:30-7:30 and also the Starbucks abs restaurants there. Stayed here for 5 days , very safe and quiet ! Our 12 year old loved having a room of his own with 2 beds and we lived the king bed in the master suite. For $140 night we thought it was an extremely good value for north myrtle beach resort. read more

Great resort!!! Absolutely no problems, staff was always very nice and checked in with us daily to make sure we were having a good stay. So many different pools, a workout room, and different restaurants/places to eat. The beach is right outside the lobby and you can rent chairs and an umbrella from the hotel while you sit on the beach. Only thing is cockroaches somehow manage to sneak in--so always be on the lookout. read more

Just got back from our week long vacation at Kingston Plantation and it was just a 3 star experience. If it weren't for our son having a blast, it would just be a 2 star for myself and my husband. We paid a large amount for a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom ocean view condo in the Brighton Building. We expected what we saw when we flipped through pictures, but instead we got a dumpy room that was decorated in broken and outdated furniture. We walked into the room and were immediately greeted with broken closet doors that lead to the absolute loudest AC unit you can ever imagine ever. It literally sounded like a boat was sinking every time it was on. We could see the ocean from our balcony, which was ok, but when I booked the reservation on the phone, I was under the impression we wouldn't be overlooking the parking lot. Apparently that is ocean front, but I wasn't given that option on the phone. This is the loudest hotel room we've ever stayed at. Between the AC unit, how loud all of the doors close down the hallways, and overlooking the parking lot, it was incredible my kids even slept a tiny bit. My son was up much earlier than usual every morning than at home because of noises. My 3 month old didn't care. I did though. I'm talking that parking lot is SO loud. The music that plays at the pools and on the Apache pier bounce off of the buildings and echo throughout your unit. Peoples car alarms go off for hours because they're at the beach. People would drive in at 11pm and lay on the horn multiple times every night. Specifically a gold Nissan Ramada with NY tags was the absolutely rudest culprit. Screaming at the pools, which is fine! It just added to the noise levels. The water park was so fun! But also added to the noise levels. The unit was dirty, dusty, and had crumbs and bugs in seats. Housekeeping only came twice in one week. The only two times they came, they didn't knock, just walked in, and we were all there with the kids asleep. We also didn't come across very many kind employees. The coffee baristas at Starbucks we're nice, the water park lifeguards were nice, and the guy I called to checkout was nice, but that's all. The gym was beautiful and indoor splash pad was a good touch. Honestly, if it weren't for my son having a blast at the water park and beach, we probably would've left sooner. But keep in mind they'll nickel and dime you for leaving sooner even if you're still paying for the nights you originally had booked, like what? Would we go back? Probably not. For that amount of money you can stay at a much nicer and cleaner resort. I wouldn't call this a resort. I'd call this an outdated condo rented by a hotel with some nice pools. There are tons of other places I'd recommend over this place any day. read more

We rented a one bedroom villa that was great and clean, I'm giving the villa 4 starts due to uncomfortable dated bed and sofa bed, otherwise the resort is safe and family friendly! Breakfast buffet is great with wonderful and attentive staff. I would recommend this resort and will probably stay here again ! The beds and kitchen appliance could use an update! read more

I stayed here specifically to get engaged, and it turned out perfect! The check in staff was quick and courteous. I actually had the engagement ring shipped to the hotel, and the concierge took care of making sure I got it safely when it arrived via Fed Ex. The day manager even upgraded my room when he found out what was going on!!! He put us on the 23rd floor with a spectacular view. The room was nice, and the housekeeping service was friendly. The entire property is clean and access is limited to only guests. So there are no worries about undesireables lurking anywhere. My family and I stayed in a two bedroom Villa!...loved it , the only thing I didn't like is that the housekeepers came in when we weren't there, meanwhile our belongings were still there , I left my purse there because we were only going to the beach, needless to say the only thing they did was load up the dishwasher, didn't make any beds, didn't vacuum etc...but other than that the villas are pretty nice , quiet surrounding as well , will consider on booking again I'll just have to let management know i don't want anyone in my unit while I'm not there... read more

If you are going to advertise a 4 PM check-in time then the units should be available at 4 PM. There were a number of people that were told at 4 PM, including myself, that their units are not yet ready. This is really unacceptable especially when paying almost $200 a night to stay here. This is my second time staying here and I had a great time. The suites are perfectly appointed and the property has three outdoor pools and an outside bar. Many of the rooms have a view of the ocean from the balcony. Additionally, the Embassy Suites is right next door and is a sister property whose amenities you can also enjoy. read more
