Extremely Disappointed - Unit 1103 Brighton We stayed in Unit 1103 Brighton at Kingston Plantation from August 2025, and were very disappointed. The suite smelled strongly of smoke, the carpet and furniture were stained and damaged, and the king bedroom's mattress was completely worn down. The balcony furniture was rusted and broken, and it was unclear whether the chairs had mold or dirt. We chose not to raise these concerns at the beginning of our stay because we had several reservations and dinner plans with our family, wanting our children to still enjoy their vacation. Thankfully, we were able to enjoy attractions like Broadway at the Beach and Tanger Outlets, and the beach view was beautiful with a pleasant noise level. However, these positives did not make up for the unacceptable condition of the suite. Management was made aware of conditions of unit. The unit needs deep cleaning, a mattress replacement, and major repairs before being rented again. We expected better from Hilton and hope management addresses these issues so future families do not face the same experience.

We just checked into Kingston plantation room 109LC. It's disgusting. This is a two bedroom timeshare type unit. There's dust everywhere and the walls are filthy. The kitchen floor was sticky so I took a wet paper towel to it before I thought to take a picture. I can't believe Hilton will put their name on this hotel accommodation. We used points for this stay and are incredibly disappointed. We should've called and asked for a different room but our kids were tired and we didn't really look closely until after they had gone to bed. This has a full kitchen set up but there is no dish soap, and no paper towels. There's also no Kleenex in the room. Update. We change rooms to another timeshare unit. This was in a different section of the complex. This room was much better however I'm still sticking with my one star review. The fact that Hilton would host a room of that caliber is very just disappointing. While the front desk was accommodating, they knew it advance of the rooms were not up to standard. I find It's very disconcerting that they would places in the room that they knew we would be unhappy with. I made accommodations with returning us in the Hilton points and in fact charged us $25 for the upgrade created.

We used booking.com to book amenities at Kingston plantation Condos by Hilton. We booked a four bedroom condo for some of our family members, also booked a two bedroom suite for other family members. When we arrived at Myrtle Beach, we were told to go to Embassy suites to check in. A little confusing with all the names but that was the least of our worries. Once we made it to check in, we found that one suite was on one side of the facility, our condo was on the opposite end. So our family members were completely separated. We got over that also. We got to the Condo. and the first thing we saw was a big dead roach in the kitchen. . We went to one bedroom and there was another roach , my husband tried to kill it and it fell behind the dresser, he pulled the dresser out to get it and found another huge roach plus so much dirt that you could tell the room hadn't been cleaned well in a while. Also the bedspread was filthy, someone has spilled coffee on the white headboard which also splashed to the wall, the staff did not even bother to wipe that up. There was pet hair all on the stairwell. The couch pillows were filthy. The bathtubs were disgusting. We called and they sent a maid to come and re-clean our bathrooms. We watched her use Clorox to try to clean the bathrooms but the dirt was so embedded, that they would not come clean. The handle in the shower was supposed to be clear but it had so much dirt embedded in there, it was actually brown.. I had to use latex gloves to turn the water off and on. Paint was chipped on the walls in almost every room. The kitchen sink faucet was completely broken. Every time we turned the water on, the entire faucet moved from the base. My husband went to the front desk to let them know the facility was not acceptable. They let us know that they did not have additional amenities to accommodate our group, and issued us a $50 credit towards food and drink. Although the staff was courteous and tried to accommodate us, we did not need a credit, we needed somewhere to relax that was clean and decent. We did not get that. So please be warned that if you stay at Windermere by the sea through Kingston plantation (building 6A) , be prepared to deal with a ridiculous amount of filth. I really wish the owners of this condo would visit it so that they know how neglected this place is. It would be beautiful if they would just clean it up and perform minimal maintenance to it.

Amazing resort but the wi-fi is terrible (I'm a tech geek so I am OCD about amenities pertaining to technology). Never in the history of staying at a hotel or resort have I ever had to pay for Wi-Fi. What happened to the good ole days when you could just connect and sign in hassle free to decent Wi-Fi? When I was finally able to connect, the Wi-Fi was unbearably slow. This is my only problem, as I said, the resort is amazing. You're right next to the beach, smorgasbord of food, seafood restaurants galore, and plenty of amenities to distract your kids but stuff for adults as well. Wi-Fi sucks. Breakfast is also $15 per person, which is OK until you realize you can go to IHOP or Denny's and realize the difference in price. Right now, three of my family members are with me. Including me, that's $60 for breakfast. I think I'll settle for my cup of instant coffee.....

We left. It was dirty and run down. Hallway smelled. Kitchen poorly furnished. Was definitely not worth the $2K+ we were going to pay.

We ended up loving it so much that we decided to extend our stay for an extra night. The location was honestly perfect. There was a Walmart nearby, the boardwalk and boardwalk mall were close, and there were plenty of restaurants within a short distance. The beach access was in a great spot, and the entire area felt very clean and safe. The outside pool area was modern, well maintained, and very inviting. The breakfast advertised in the lobby definitely lived up to expectations. Every morning there was a fresh breakfast along with a fun waffle-making station, which we really enjoyed. The staff throughout the hotel were extremely friendly and welcoming. There was also a restaurant on the main floor with a great atmosphere, and the food was very good. There were only two downsides during our stay. The kids' splash pad -- one of the main reasons we booked this hotel -- was unfortunately out of service the entire time due to needing a new pump. We understood that these things happen. The other issue was that the rugs in the room did not seem very clean. We ended up keeping our shoes on in the room, so it wasn't a huge issue for us personally. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely book this hotel again

Loved there was a spot to rinse off the sand from beach upon entering the pool area. One of the staff members gave great restaurant recommendations. Now, the bad. You have to pay for parking. It was additional $60 for 2 nights, but through a QRC code, not on your hotel bill. There was an extra $100 (exact) tacked onto my bill after checking in. Nobody told me where this $100 came from. So, I'm now assuming a security deposit? Will it be refunded when I check out? I asked 2 different representatives, and nobody directly told me what it was for. (Edit: it was refunded, but I wished somebody said so) I would have cancelled, but was not in a position to find another hotel. The a/c unit barely worked. We were sweating during the night. The paint on the ceiling above my shower was peeling off. That's in the video I posted. We were on the 4th floor, and had to go to the 3rd for ice. It would have been nice to know that as well. We were given a wristband to wear for use of the amenities, but nobody was wearing them, and nobody was checking for them either. Overall, I won't be staying here again.

This one was the exception! Right on the beach with amazing ocean front room. We could see the ocean from our bed. Very private, the balconies were shielded from the neighbors and even the pools below could only see us if we were out on the balcony. The views were quite stunning! In addition, the pools were nice plus you have multiple pools to choose from. In the evening, the 2nd floor patio with fire pit was great to hang out and relax. Parking is directly across the street in the parking garage. Very quick and easy to get to. Starbucks across the street as well. Highly recommend this hotel and would love to stay here again!

Check in was a breeze. Staff was super friendly. This hotel is located in a great spot...within walking distance to lots of eateries and direct access to the beach. All of the rooms have ocean views. Initially I thought the bed position was weird but I quickly appreciated waking up to views of the beach and ocean. Everything was clean and well appointed in our king room. My only complaint is that the towels were pretty bad and extremely thin, more so than any other hotel I've visited. We went to the bar on the second floor to people watch. It's a cute spot and has access to outdoor seating with a view and fire pits. Our drinks were just "ok"...I've never had ice in a French 75 and my husband's old fashioned was made with crushed ice and not a ball or large cube which was odd. There is ample parking in the deck across the street. Overall, a nice stay!

Even though I completed all of the online pre-registration beforehand, I had to repeat the entire process at the front desk because they couldn't find any record of it. The line was long, instructions were minimal, and parking was confusing. Both towers park in the Indigo garage, and you have to use the third-floor walkway to get to the other tower--information that wasn't clearly explained. The room itself was the biggest disappointment. The layout is incredibly long and narrow and honestly just... odd. The master bedroom shares a wall with the public hallway, and because we were close to the elevator, we heard people talking at all hours. It felt more like sleeping in a hallway than a bedroom. The furnishings are badly overdue for an update. The furniture feels worn out, the closet door came off its track when opened, the master sink barely drained, the safe battery was dead (maintenance had to replace it), and the sheets felt like sandpaper. There were no USB charging ports or convenient outlets like you find in just about every hotel these days. The "kitchen" is really just a mini fridge (without a freezer), microwave, sink, toaster, coffee maker, and blender. Then the layout gets even stranger. The living room has a sofa bed, but there were no pillows and only one set of sheets stored in the master closet. Meanwhile, the second bathroom connected to the living room is enormous--with dual vanities, a huge shower, and a Jacuzzi tub--while the master bathroom is the size of a basic Holiday Inn bathroom. The whole setup feels backwards. The ocean and pool view was beautiful, but the room itself felt like a design that never figured out what it wanted to be. One of my biggest frustrations was the housekeeping policy. We were charged a daily housekeeping fee (nearly $30 per day), yet the paperwork says they don't actually provide housekeeping. The first two days no one even came until I called. When they finally did, they simply emptied the trash and left a couple of clean towels on the counter. Charging a daily housekeeping fee without providing daily housekeeping feels misleading. To top it off, the only proactive phone call we received during our stay wasn't to see if everything was okay--it was someone trying to sell us a "timeshare". There are also no ice machines in the tower and no front desk staff nearby if you need assistance, so every issue requires contacting the separate check-in building. For the price we paid (roughly $500+ per night after resort fees, housekeeping fees, marketing fees, and taxes), I expected a much more polished experience. Instead, it felt dated, confusing, and overpriced. The ocean view was lovely, but unfortunately that wasn't enough to make up for everything else. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it.
