    Connecticut Roll

5.31.26. Yup. I did it again. I drove 45 minutes to see you. Ok- I made my friend drive 45 minutes to Hamilton OH. Worth every minute, worth every penny. Totally worth the little extra $ to get the extra meat. Literally there's nothing close to the freshness of this roll. Spend the $$$ it's worth it for the quality! Super super fresh!!! Also - hit the tip button- these guys deserve it! Very friendly and speedy service! THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU DO!

Stopped by the Cousins Maine Lobster truck while it was in Oxford, Ohio today. Honestly? Disappointed. The lobster roll was tiny--like, soda-can-for-scale tiny. Taste was authentic, but not $23 authentic. The full combo with tots and drink ran us $48.25 for two people. Tater tots were just okay. Specialty sodas were fun but didn't add much to the value. I've had better-sized rolls in Maine for $6. This felt more like a sample than a meal. Overall: 2 stars. Good flavor, but way overpriced for the portion. I'd pass unless they adjust pricing or portion sizes.

I was surprised to see Cousins Maine Lobster truck at my city's summer festival. They were pretty popular with a long line that moved quickly. I ordered a Connecticut role deemed as the classic role with warm meat, butter, and lemon on a new England roll. The roll was small, with 2 hearty chunks of lobster. I also ordered the lobster tots. The tots came with chopped lobster, cilantro lime sauce, pico de gallo, and a lime wedge. I'm not a tots fan, but the sauce and pico really took the dish to another level. Although I prefer french fries over tots, I will order this dish again. I enjoyed my food from Cousins Maine Lobster. I'm not sure I will get the roll again, but I'll give them another chance in the future to try the grilled cheese. I spent a little over $30 for the roll and tots. Living in FL, I have my go to places for comparable lobster rolls and dishes at a cheaper price. I understand this lobster is from Maine so there's added cost associated with that. For me, this is an once in a while treat to cure my lobster craving.

New Englander here, stuck in the seafood desert of Cincy... But this was a breath of fresh air. I downloaded the app so I could order ahead online. When I placed my order it gave me a time to arrive. The truck had gotten stuck in traffic so there was a slight delay, but it was very minimal. We tried the CT lobster roll which had a generous amount of large meat that was very tender. We also got the lobster bisque which had great flavor but was a tad bit salty. Finally we got the lobster grilled cheese. It paired nicely with the soup, and had an ok amount of, again, large lumps of lobster. I would definitely visit again to get my seafood fix!! Prices are reasonable for what you get and the market price of lobster!

Came on a rainy Saturday evening. I saw the original premiere on shark tank for this company. The black truck was located in the parking lot of a kroger. There were no tables or seats outside so we had to take it home. The food came out quickly after we ordered on the app. We got a Connecticut lobster roll because all lobster rolls should be warm and a lobster bisque. The lobster bisque was very creamy and wasn't overly salty, there were 2 large lobster chucks in the soup. The lobster roll itself has a smaller brioche bun that was toasted and buttered. The bun could have been much more buttery, bigger and toasted longer for a more crispy texture. The meat on the rolls were indeed large chunks and worth every bit of the $20 you pay. They was lightly seasoned, fresh, and perfectly boiled. Quality Lobster rolls are difficult to find in Cincinnati and cousins really hits the spot. I'll be on the look out for when the truck returns to my area or opens a restaurant

Omg this clam chowder is the best ever!! Also had the lobster tacos which were delicious! If this food truck is by you then you need to go. You won't be disappointed.

    Burnt spicy fried lobster roll.

First time trying in Dent, OH today, I am rather disappointed when I was oh so excited. Online ordering was down which was a bummer. I asked if they could put the aioli on the side for the spicy roll and they said no when they very clearly could have and then the meat was burnt as seen in the picture. Very little portion sizes for the cost ($63 total). I got the lobster bisque and it had 2 small pieces of lobster in it. I ordered 2 rolls, a bisque and a whoopie pie and on the app menu it states you can get those as combos/add ons but I asked at the truck and they stated no. Disappointing all around from customer service to portion to presentation.

We have eaten at their brick & mortar spot by OSU & at a truck in Willoughby Ohio. Both spots were great. Today in Loveland was disappointing. Very weak on the flavor of warm roll & the amount of meat seemed low. Sorry cousins we will try you again another day.

I was so excited to see Cousins coming to our area! I set our calendar and told my husband a week in advance he was taking me. We arrived shortly after they opened. There were three people in line in front us. We placed our order for Connecticut roll, lobster quesadillas, lobster bisque, New England clam chowder and shrimp tacos. Our total was $74.98 (that includes the tip) which may seem high but remember we're dining on several lobster items and all seafood *YUM* the guy that took our order was very efficient, clear and friendly. Despite having three people ahead of us--the food all came out very promptly and faster than we expected! We ate in our car because we didn't want to wait (we drive 25 minutes to visit their truck). I drizzled some lime over our lobster roll which was amazing and we devoured first. It was generously filled with lobster meat and had a healthy amount of butter. The bun was well toasted and not soggy--it was the perfect combination. We both really enjoyed the shrimp tacos--my husband was pleasantly surprised and ended up eating 2/3. We also drizzled fresh limes over our tacos. The lobster quesadillas was delicious and fresh--I only wish it had a little more lobster in it. I opened up one of my 1/4 pieces and it literally only had two small chucks of lobster in it. I dipped these into the cilantro like sauce that came with it. Very refreshing. My husband got the New England Clam Chowder and allowed me to have several bites (which turned into me stealing the cup and finishing half of it). It was so flavorful and meaty. Next visit I will absolutely be ordering a bowl of this! I ordered my favorite--lobster bisque--to which I was a bit disappointed in. There was only one shred of lobster meat in it...if it was as meaty and amazing as the clam chowder it would have had the possibility of claiming the number 1 lobster bisque spot in my heart...however it doesn't even have the top 5 *womp womp* even though the lobster bisque was sad--we obviously plan on returning whenever they are in our area!!

Half eaten roll. Forgot to take a picture before we started eating

We split a Maine Roll and Connecticut roll. Food came out quickily and the staff was friendly. I will say the price was steep but they did give a good amount of lobster. Taste was great but I'm too cheap to pay $40 + tip for a snack. It was a great experience though as that was my first lobster roll.

Pictures will not do this food truck any justice! I will say believe the hype, wait in line , pay the price. They have lobster tots , clam chowder, lobster grilled cheese etc. Get app the so you can keep up locations. Food coming from a food truck and seafood is hot!

    Lobster quesadilla

I got the lobster quesadilla and it was amazing. The sauce they have with it is so good. There was a lot more lobster than I thought there was going to be on the quesadilla. The truck was in my town all day and I thought about going back for seconds. My friend got the lobster tail with toots and said the tail was a little overcooked and another friend got a lobster roll that said it was OK so I think the quesadilla was the best choice.

The wicker chairs in the section to the left of the bar as you face the bar were unusually deep and low. Over time I think we all adjusted, but sitting in them definitely felt unusual. There are other chairs throughout the restaurant. I recommend finding a table with different chairs. Our waiter was knowledgeable and very efficient. We hadn't checked on the website, but found out Thursday is oyster day, with $1 oysters and fried oysters and $1.50 for Oyster Bienville. The fried oysters were delicious. The raw oysters were good, though I had one that was gritty. We are going again in two weeks and will try the Oyster Bienville along with other assorted oysters. Two of us had the special Pan Seared Sea Bass. It came highly recommended and did not disappoint. The crisp on the top was delicious and the fish itself was delicate and moist. It did indeed melt in my mouth. The potatoes were very good, though I didn't finish all of them. The greens were good. Mark had a ribeye and is still raving about it today. He ordered the preparation version made with just salt and pepper. He also had a cup of gumbo. He said it had an amazing depth of flavor. We wrapped up with dessert. Three folks had Key Lime Pie. I opted for Karma's Opera Crème Cake. Oh my goodness, it was huge, sweet and delicious. I tried a bit of key lime and it just didn't compare. That said, those who had the Key Lime Pie loved it. Not only would we return, but we have the date already scheduled. I'm looking forward to trying something different.
