Meh. Average food at a premium price. And small serving for the price charged. We had this truck recently when it was at a local brewery. I guess we were expecting it to be a little bigger and a little better for the price. It was ok but not worth what is being charged. We both got the warm with butter lobster roll. We each also got the lobster bisque when my husband went back out for more food because we were both still hungry after eating the roll. I also had the Root Beer. I think the root beer was the best part of the meal. It was really good. The lobster tasted good and only some of it was rubbery. I wouldn't seek them out again. read more

We have been waiting for this food truck to be close enough for us to try. Well, we drove an hour for a lobster roll. I am ok with that. These lobster rolls were full of lobster claw meat that was warm and tasty on a toasted roll. Absolutely delicious!!! Can't wait til we see them close again! Have to shout out the Connecticut roll! The lobster quesadilla my husband said was okay. But not worth $20. I had the lobster bisque soup. For $8 a cup I expected at least one lump of lobster meat. There were no lumps/chunks or anything of lobster meat in my soup. Barely any specks of lobster meat in it. Very little if any flavor. The soup was also very thin. I expected like.. little bits of onion, lobster meat... something substantial... In total our meal came to $38 which I find way too much money. read more

Taste was authentic, but not $23 authentic. The full combo with tots and drink ran us $48.25 for two people. Tater tots were just okay. Specialty sodas were fun but didn't add much to the value. I've had better-sized rolls in Maine for $6. This felt more like a sample than a meal. Overall: 2 stars. Good flavor, but way overpriced for the portion. I was surprised to see Cousins Maine Lobster truck at my city's summer festival. They were pretty popular with a long line that moved quickly. I ordered a Connecticut role deemed as the classic role with warm meat, butter, and lemon on a new England roll. The roll was small, with 2 hearty chunks of lobster. I also ordered the lobster tots. The tots came with chopped lobster, cilantro lime sauce, pico de gallo, and a lime wedge. I'm not a tots fan, but the sauce and pico really took the dish to another level. Although I prefer french fries over tots, I will order this dish again. I enjoyed my food from Cousins Maine Lobster. I'm not sure I will get the roll again, but I'll give them another chance in the future to try the grilled cheese. I spent a little over $30 for the roll and tots. Living in FL, I have my go to places for comparable lobster rolls and dishes at a cheaper price. I understand this lobster is from Maine so there's added cost associated with that. New Englander here, stuck in the seafood desert of Cincy... But this was a breath of fresh air. I downloaded the app so I could order ahead online. When I placed my order it gave me a time to arrive. The truck had gotten stuck in traffic so there was a slight delay, but it was very minimal. We tried the CT lobster roll which had a generous amount of large meat that was very tender. We also got the lobster bisque which had great flavor but was a tad bit salty. Finally we got the lobster grilled cheese. It paired nicely with the soup, and had an ok amount of, again, large lumps of lobster. I would definitely visit again to get my seafood fix!! Came on a rainy Saturday evening. I saw the original premiere on shark tank for this company. The black truck was located in the parking lot of a kroger. There were no tables or seats outside so we had to take it home. The food came out quickly after we ordered on the app. We got a Connecticut lobster roll because all lobster rolls should be warm and a lobster bisque. The lobster bisque was very creamy and wasn't overly salty, there were 2 large lobster chucks in the soup. The lobster roll itself has a smaller brioche bun that was toasted and buttered. The bun could have been much more buttery, bigger and toasted longer for a more crispy texture. The meat on the rolls were indeed large chunks and worth every bit of the $20 you pay. They was lightly seasoned, fresh, and perfectly boiled. Quality Lobster rolls are difficult to find in Cincinnati and cousins really hits the spot. First time trying in Dent, OH today, I am rather disappointed when I was oh so excited. Online ordering was down which was a bummer. I asked if they could put the aioli on the side for the spicy roll and they said no when they very clearly could have and then the meat was burnt as seen in the picture. Very little portion sizes for the cost ($63 total). I got the lobster bisque and it had 2 small pieces of lobster in it. I ordered 2 rolls, a bisque and a whoopie pie and on the app menu it states you can get those as combos/add ons but I asked at the truck and they stated no. I was so excited to see Cousins coming to our area! I set our calendar and told my husband a week in advance he was taking me. We arrived shortly after they opened. There were three people in line in front us. We placed our order for Connecticut roll, lobster quesadillas, lobster bisque, New England clam chowder and shrimp tacos. Our total was $74.98 (that includes the tip) which may seem high but remember we're dining on several lobster items and all seafood *YUM* the guy that took our order was very efficient, clear and friendly. Despite having three people ahead of us--the food all came out very promptly and faster than we expected! We ate in our car because we didn't want to wait (we drive 25 minutes to visit their truck). I drizzled some lime over our lobster roll which was amazing and we devoured first. It was generously filled with lobster meat and had a healthy amount of butter. The bun was well toasted and not soggy--it was the perfect combination. We both really enjoyed the shrimp tacos--my husband was pleasantly surprised and ended up eating 2/3. We also drizzled fresh limes over our tacos. The lobster quesadillas was delicious and fresh--I only wish it had a little more lobster in it. I opened up one of my 1/4 pieces and it literally only had two small chucks of lobster in it. I dipped these into the cilantro like sauce that came with it. Very refreshing. My husband got the New England Clam Chowder and allowed me to have several bites (which turned into me stealing the cup and finishing half of it). It was so flavorful and meaty. Next visit I will absolutely be ordering a bowl of this! I ordered my favorite--lobster bisque--to which I was a bit disappointed in. I've been following them on FB and I must say I was slightly disappointed with the presentation, especially the lobster tots, definitely not like the FB pictures. Out of both lobster rolls, I enjoyed the Maine the most so my sweet hubs switched with me. There were indeed large chunks of lobster in the rolls. IMO, a few more pieces of lobster on the tots would have been much better. Overall, I thought all of the food was average except for the clam chowder which I really enjoyed. I went to the truck parked in Norwood Cincinnati, Ohio, on Saturday, May 25. I ordered two lobster rolls and the shrimp tacos. The tacos weren't bad, but the lobster rolls were awful! The lobster was old and underdone. The bun was soggy, and the sauce they used on the rolls was very bad. I'd heard a lot about this company and frankly couldn't wait to try it as I'm a huge fan of seafood, especially lobster. I paid $57 and gave a $5 tip. The truck was in our area tonight, in Vista Verde north of West Chester, and we took a shot and pre-ordered online. $109 later - with 3 lobster rolls, 3 cups of soup, and a lobster quesadilla in tow - we got to enjoy the food. The rolls were outstanding, we got each style and both were great. These are true lobster rolls, no other fillers with big chunks of lobster and the warm rolls were tasty. The lobster bisque was a little sub par - no lobster chunks, but the clam chowder was great. Keep in mind each cup of soup was only $5 with an entree, so.... The lobster quesadilla was delicious, unfortunately they put two pico de gallos in and forgot the cilantro lime sauce. Overall, I recommend them! read more
