Great spot downtown for a date night, girls night or to bring someone from out of town. We sat out on the patio and the vibes were great. The server was knowledgeable and had some good recommendations. We got the oysters and fish rillette to start. The day we came they had a $2 oyster special! Then got the fish sandwich with caviar, artic char, and hanger steak. My favorite was the sandwich or hanger steak. The steak was cooked perfectly and the sauce paired well with it. The quality of food was unmatched from most places in Cincy. I can't wait to go back and to bring someone from out of town!

One of the best dining experiences I have ever had! I went with my family to enjoy some fresh oysters. We wanted to go somewhere nice to celebrate new years and Atwood was definitely the vibe we were looking for! As for the food, we decided to get a variety of dishes to try all together. The oyster rockefeller were amazing and we also got the whole fish. The French fries were cooked perfectly and paired well with the crème fraîche, chives and caviar! The kale caeser salad was very fresh and there was a great selection of raw oysters. Our waiter was amazing and he did everything to make this experience the best for us! If you're looking to try some tasty raw oysters, I definitely recommend coming here! I'm looking forward to the next time we dine there!

First time trying this out and was pleasantly surprised. Started out with cocktails and had salt and vinegar martini. Excellent!! We ordered dozen oysters of different kinds. Love all the accoutrements. All were good but I'm a sucker for west coast. I had the attic char which had great flavor but friends had the fish sandwich and that was the clear winner. Only bad part was the coleslaw. I would take it off the menu, no flavor whatsoever. Great service! Will be back

This is a great date night or girls night out for dinner. The place has dim lighting plenty of seating and tentative knowledgeable staff. Our waitress knew the menu well and was able to explain in detail some of the items off the menu to help us decide. Oysters 10/10 Caviar for price 10/10 Drinks 10/10 strong but delicious Staff 10/10 The only thing I didn't like was we made reservations and majority or the time slots were taken. So we decided to get drinks nearby before hand and as we walked by the place had more than half available seats inside. They did let us sit early which was nice.

Atwood is the perfect place for cocktails and snacks. We tried the oysters and sat outside, which was so nice. Would recommend the build your own oysters

You can name any restaurant in Cincinnati--I've had it. But today, I finally decided to try Atwood Oyster House. Let me tell you... divine. Every dish being served looked incredible, and if it were up to me, I would've ordered the entire menu. My friend and I take weekly walks on Fridays and Saturdays, aiming to hit our 10K step goals while trying different appetizers and happy hours at restaurants we've never been to before. We always end our 10K steps with a protein-rich but healthy meal. Atwood did not disappoint. We started off with a glass of Riesling, the apple cocktail, nine oysters, and the bread & butter. I ordered the mussels, and my friend got the fish sandwich. We ended our meal with the strawberry tart, chocolate torte, and matcha tiramisu. Everything was spectacular. Oh, and the matcha tiramisu? On the house. Why? Because our amazing server, Brandon, saw my excitement and heard me say it's my favorite dessert of all time--so he threw one in for free. Brandon was honestly the highlight of our night. His charm and natural wit truly elevated the experience. He gave amazing suggestions, and even the way he interacted with the table next to us made us love him even more. He was so sweet and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. And not only did he serve food, but looks as well (that haircut is tea). He's your dream server! If you want excellent service, great food, and a beautiful ambiance, Atwood Oyster House is about to be your new favorite spot.

I came here for a quick drink and some oysters and it was exactly what I was looking for! The bartender was very friendly and recommended a nice white wine for me to pair with the oysters. I ordered one of each oyster that they offered for the day, and they were all delicious in their own unique way. The ambiance of the place was very quiet, but trendy and the food menu looked incredible. I'll definitely be stopping by the next time I'm in town!

Same perfect ambiance as the previous restaurant, probably a little better. The bartender was super super nice and attentive, I didn't catch her name. I do believe she was pregnant maybe?! The roasted oysters do not present well but they are so delicious. The mussels were good but the bread served with it was incredible. I really like this place and will be back for sure.

I wish I saved photos of all of our food, but it was too good to waste my time capturing. The oysters were shucked and cleaned perfectly. Every one of them was amazing. So much so, that we ordered a second dozen. Then after that, we did the caviar, also amazing. Their blinis look to be done in house. They were thin and perfect. we also had their bread with honey butter, only because we could smell it throughout the restaurant, and had no self-control not to order it. So glad we did. And then, after enjoying all of those things, we forgot we had to go to a play, so we ended with delicious french press coffee from deeper roots, along with very good carrot cake. Our waitress was wonderful. We really enjoyed everything and look forward to coming back to Atwood.

This venue used to be a different oyster restaurant which I liked. But Atwood is a step UP from the previous concept which made me so happy! Everything was excellent, from the oysters, to the cocktails, to the caviar, to the fish sandwich.

Making reservations was super easy for this place, I was able to make birthday reservations a few weeks prior on open table. There is also outdoor patio for sitting. My group really enjoyed the ambiance and cool light fixtures in the restaurant. They have unique cocktails, one of the drinks we tried had fat mixed with a dark alcohol. I enjoyed an orange marmalade which tasted similar to a spiked lemonade. Oysters were tasty and also caviar was very good and was able to request additional serving cakes. One of the few places I found in Cincinnati to serve whole fish made for a super nice seafood dinner out !

Just added a few more photos from our visit on June 23rd. The only thing this time is that the Bread Service was totally not worth $28.

Our server, Chloe, introduced herself with a smile and provided us with a quick refresher. I knew from her energy that we were going to be in great hands for the evening. (and I was not wrong, lol) Chloe was personable, attentive, friendly, and down to earth. The service she provided us was excellent! I ordered the Swamp Thing for a cocktail. Sweet, fruity, and pretty... that green cocktail did exactly what it needed to do, lol. FIVE STARS! Now, on to the food... The Gator Bites are a MUST. I ordered the hot honey sauce on the side just to play it safe and I am glad I did, because babyyyy, that spice had no boundaries. If you're a lover of spicy things, you'll be good to order as is, lol! I also ordered the Roasted Oysters. Another MUST! The oysters had a parmesan crust with lemon garlic butter drizzled over them... They were gone in minutes! I was on the fence for my entree, but then my girl Chloe clocked that Pasta Mardi Gras and the rest is history. It was creamy, savory, and packed with flavor. I knew my girl wouldn't let me down! Our experience was excellent! I definitely recommend reservations. Pappadeaux wasn't terribly busy when we arrived, but by the time we finished up & headed out, they had a line out the door. If you're in the Cincy area, add to your foodie list! Overall, a great restaurant for a GNO, date night, or any celebration.

For appetizers, we had the roasted oysters and the hot honey gator bites. Everything was phenomenal. The gator bites were tender like chicken and the oysters were so flavorful! For the drink, I had the Swamp Thing cocktail and I was happily buzzed after finishing it. It was sweet, refreshing and the alcohol wasn't overpowering. Highly recommend Pappadeaux's if you're ever in the Cincinnati area!!! Customer Service: Chloe was our waitress and she was knowledgeable, sociable, funny and caring. She did a wonderful job in giving recommendations and telling us about the specials. She checked on us consistently and was never overbearing. The staff was timely with the appetizers, and the ebb and flow of the crowd seemed under control and all waiters/waitresses were ensuring orders were correct. Thank you Chloe for the top-tier service!! Ambiance: Pappadeaux's is typically upscale causal to business casual, but everyone is free to come as they are! It is family friendly for all ages. The decor gives an intimate open dining vibe. When it gets busy, it's BUSY. But the wait will be worth it! I guarantee there is something for everybody. This place is perfect for any occasion, celebration, graduation, birthday, date night, family dinner, a day trip - whatever your heart desires. The Cincy location is the best!

There are other chairs throughout the restaurant. I recommend finding a table with different chairs. Our waiter was knowledgeable and very efficient. We hadn't checked on the website, but found out Thursday is oyster day, with $1 oysters and fried oysters and $1.50 for Oyster Bienville. The fried oysters were delicious. The raw oysters were good, though I had one that was gritty. We are going again in two weeks and will try the Oyster Bienville along with other assorted oysters. Two of us had the special Pan Seared Sea Bass. It came highly recommended and did not disappoint. The crisp on the top was delicious and the fish itself was delicate and moist. It did indeed melt in my mouth. The potatoes were very good, though I didn't finish all of them. The greens were good. Mark had a ribeye and is still raving about it today. He ordered the preparation version made with just salt and pepper. He also had a cup of gumbo. He said it had an amazing depth of flavor. We wrapped up with dessert. Three folks had Key Lime Pie. I opted for Karma's Opera Crème Cake. Oh my goodness, it was huge, sweet and delicious. I tried a bit of key lime and it just didn't compare. That said, those who had the Key Lime Pie loved it. Not only would we return, but we have the date already scheduled. I'm looking forward to trying something different.
