Yesterday morning I placed an order for 5 pounds of breaded haddock to be picked up at 6:00 pm. At 6:00 pm last night someone from Sausage Plus called me asking if I was Donna who placed an order for 5 pounds of breaded haddock to be picked up at 6:00 pm. I stated that yes, it was me. She proceeded to tell me that they do not have any breaded haddock left to fill my order. I told her that I called in the morning to place the order so I wasn't quite sure how they couldn't have any for me. That is the purpose of ordering ahead. She stated that they were very busy and ran out. Meanwhile, while I'm talking to her, my brother-in-law was in line to pick up the order. She stated that they could fill my order next week Friday. I told her I have people at my house now for dinner. She then transferred me to someone else. I believe she said she was transferring me to the general manager or manager. He came on the phone asking how he could help me. Did she not tell him why she called me?! So I told him what she told me. He basically said the same thing. They were very busy and ran out of the breaded haddock. He also mentioned that they could fill my order for next Friday. Then he suggested one of the other types of fish, at a much higher price. He also stated that they probably didn't have 5 pounds of any type of fish to sell me. I can't believe they would run a business like that. Offering fish for next week wasn't a solution. I had a group of people at my house for dinner last night. I don't know that I could trust ordering ahead from them again. What is the point of ordering ahead if they didn't put enough aside for my order?

The bakery is also top notch and I always leave with something sweet, I don't have a big sweet tooth and I will not eat any commercial sweets but I will eat a real baked slice of something from Sendik's. The deli is also not bad with a lot of boars head products and generally pricey compared with its competitors. The deli usually has a variety's heat and serve items to put together various meals. I stopped in to pick up a few items and, as usual, left with a few more than I had planned. They had a great selection of cakes in the bakery, so I couldn't resist bringing one home. I was also looking for pea pods in the produce department but couldn't find them. When I asked an employee for help, they didn't just point me in the right direction. They personally walked me to the exact spot. That's the kind of customer service that's becoming harder and harder to find. I'll definitely be back.

They have great deals on meat and produce often and have super cute housewares and clothes! Their baby/kid selection is fantastic! Especially for baby needs(meds, soap, random feeding items). I wish they had a registry! Make sure to download their app and save $$ when shopping by clipping electronic coupons and earning points each purchase to be redeemed for $ off your future purchases. I know it happens, but THIS JJ's won't make good. If you pick up, they refuse to deliver your food they messed up. Not even an apology for wasting my time and THEIR mistake, just a handoff and asked for the wrong sandwich back so they could toss it in the trash, apparently so I could see it? Can't even guess at the hundreds and thousands I have spent at this location, but it didn't matter. It does now, because I have choices and it will be a different sandwich shop. This was a BIG missed opportunity to show good service to a loyal customer and you failed. Lastly, since there were apparently 2 managers (was told that over the phone when called to tell them about the wrong order) at this location.
