Great customer service but I was taken aback when the bouquet I ordered for my sick friend was primarily carnations. I called and said my friends was going through some intense health issues and I wanted something fresh, vibrant and beautiful to make her feel better. NOT mostly carnations. I told them my limit was $100 and thought they'd be more creative with their variety. Will be using a different florist if I order flowers for my friend who lives there in the future. Update (as replying to the owner is not an option.) I added 2 stars to my review because their customer service IS great. Even down to the reply from the owner in this review. When I called, I said $100 was what I wanted to spend total and with delivery, it came out to $99.60 or around there. Even at $85, this is definitely not a cheap arrangement. I do apologize. I should have called you so I was wrong there. I can take responsibility for that. I see only 2 lilies from the pic my friend sent me (the one posted) but anybody could see that this bouquet is mostly carnations. The bouquet IS pretty but yes. It's great having a local florist business with easy parking in downtown Camas. It makes the process for me so darned easy. Was not that impressed. Walked in and wasn't greeted for quite a while even though these was someone standing right by the door. They looked at me confused when I said I was there to pick up an order I placed online. I had to give them my name 3 times and just made it awkward from there. The overall quality as well for the bouquet was not impressive at all and did not have all the qualities as the picture (I'm not the only one to experience this). I went in to get some orange flowers for my grandma. The first rose I picked up was old, and after she cleaned it up, she offered to just give it to me for free. I was touched by her kindness, and continued to pick flowers to support her shop. Afterward, she put them together in a beautiful arrangement. I spoke with the owner and she took my order by phone ( I won't name her here). She seemed pleasant. However, when I called back because I had not received a promised receipt for a rather expensive order things changed. I said people pay for a good experience. Your yelp rating will suffer if people don't feel good about their experience. She said if your going to downgrade my yelp rating I am going g to cancel your order. I said this is a big day (Valentine's Day). She said, "yes it is and good luck finding flowers in a sarcastic tone. Well, I found a shop delighted to get the order for 2 dozen beautiful red roses. This shop is in a low margin highly competitive business with some seasonality. I hope the owner will be a little more forgiving and understanding on such a stressful day for husbands that want to give their wives a nice bouquet on such an important day. Ordered a bouquet via Blooms Today online. Blooms Today contracted out Coventry Gardens of London. I ordered the "Premium 1-800-Flowers Floral Embrace" Bouquet was delivered same day QUICK fast as requested. I did not even finish looking a bouquets online before I received a texted picture of the bouquet from my recipient. The picture looked VASTLY different: Nowhere near the size or volume of the Premium Bouquet that I paid for (Blooms Today greatly discounted the bouquet to less than half the $60 price) Called the florist and they explained that they sized the bouquet based on the money that they received for it. They went to explain that they get about 3/4 of the money charged which they also have to deduct a delivery fee. The explained that the online services don't tell you these things and they can only give a bouquet based off what they are paid and fees deducted. They said the bouquet as pictured would have cost $60 if I called them directly. Their short story: Don't use the online services if you want a nice bouquet. Contact the local florist directly to cut the middle man costs. read more

My special someone surprised me with a floral arrangement from Coventry Gardens Inc. I appreciate the thoughtfullness of my special someone. BUT I was disappointed with the quantity and quality of the flowers that the Coventry florist have placed in the vase. Trying not to be too critical, I find the arrangement unappealing and definitely doesnt add up to what Coventry Gardens charged, $39.99 +$14 plus for services. The floral arrangement I have received shouldn't really cost anyone $39.99 because I found more leaves than flowers in the arrangement. To top it off, some of the flowers look wilted. Shouldn't floral arrangements look classy and gorgeous when people are asked to pay $39.99 and up by the floral shops? I should think so... I would recommend people to go to a different florist in the area or better yet, you can go to Safeway and get your someone special a gorgeous boquet for less price than what Coventry Gardens Inc. charged for the quality they offer. I was attracted to the arrangement on their website because of the variety of dainty and beautiful hues of pinks and whites, which is not what they delivered. I do understand the flowers change with the seasons but they added a lot of carnations which I don't like. It looked like a cheaper version to me. It was all white with zero pink. My daughter and I love coming into the shop. We are always immediately greeted and asked if we need any assistance. I mostly go in for the British goods they carry. My Mum was born and raised in England and the things they carry I remember from going to England a few times as a child. She always has something that will trigger all my happy memories (Mum passed several years back). When we were last in they had just opened a tea shop so now we can try before we buy, I can't wait to go in and have a cuppa. I like this shop. They do really lovely arrangements. And when I need special flowers, they will special order them for me. The owner is a sweet lady from England with a great crew of designers who aim to please. They have gifts, cards and balloons for any occasion plus an assortment of green and flowering plant dish gardens. The neat thing is that they import British foods that are hard to find anywhere else in town. I really like their teas, meat pies, pasties, biscuits and candies. They even have haggis and bangers! I visited multiple florists with a challenge... My siblings and I selected a planter arrangement on Sunday, and my parents anniversary was on Tuesday... Unfortunately what we were going to order wasn't available in time. I was tasked with procuring a planter that appreciated the theme of what we wanted. I tried to make it clear I wasn't set on the actual flowers... just going with the feeling of the basket. By the end of Monday I had two florists that were going to call me in the morning and tell me if they could put something together for me. The ~other~ florist called me Tuesday morning and just said I can't get what you wanted. And that was the end of the conversation. Coventry Gardens called and said the flowers for that exact basket weren't available, but she got some other flowers and put it together (by 9:30 am). I went to pick up the planter arrangement and I wasn't disappointed. It was beautiful. Included all the colors I asked for and then some. She didn't have access to the flowers i showed her, but she took what I said to heart: go with the flow of the arrangement. Someone got me flowers from telafloral for my birthday and they came from this florist. So the flowers were supposed to include balloons and several roses in the bouquet needless to say there where no balloons and two roses only. The entire bouquet was white only and the container they came in was clear glass so you could see the green watering thing in it, not even a bow to try and make it look pretty. My boyfriend has felt miserable since seeing the flowers and contacted the telafloral place to complain. This florist single handedly ruined my Valentine's day. Not only did they not make the bouquet my boyfriend requested, but they didn't include the chocolates he purchased. Here is everything that went wrong: My boyfriend requested a specific bouquet and absolutely no red roses. I received a bouquet with red roses and carnations. When addressed they said they were only told to make a beautiful nice bouquet. For the amount of money my guy spent.... CARNATIONS IS NOT A NICE BOUQUET!! If he only spent $20 I could see carnations. But he spent way more than that. He spent extra money for chocolates. Did not receive them. All these things could be overlooked if the customer service was good. It is HORRIBLE!! They do not take any ownership for any of the problems. They were quick to pass blame to anyone else. Not only that they called me 2 times after our initial conversation to keep passing the blame. Take some ownership!! Also they asked for their flowers back. My wife and I got married in Vancouver in March. We shopped around with at least 5 or 6 florist before finally settling on Coventry Gardens. Most other florist wanted to charge 2 to 3 times more for the same amount of flowers and we felt like Coventry gardens was the only one who was willing to charge a reasonable price for flowers. We booked our flowers before having read the other yelp reviews and I admit that before the wedding I was really worried about what kind of work we would be getting, we even considered changing florists at one point. But, man did this florist deliver. Our flowers were more then amazing and we could not have asked for a better experience. In May I gave this business only 1 star because my Mothers Day bouquet arrived two days late and was in very poor condition. The owner came across my Yelp review and called me personally to apologize for that experience. She explained that their business is closed on Sundays and that the order which came from an unrelated online service left a bunch of orders that day unbeknownst to her.
