I needed to get some boutonnières & wrist corsages for my daughters wedding and tried this local florist out. I ordered with as much advance notice as I could - 2 weeks. I was charged upfront (which is understandable) but was not sure what I was getting for the price factor (wrist corsages were $45 a price while boutonnières were $20 a piece) as I didn't see a photo prior to purchase. Beautifully full, exotic flowers, took my request for flowers that aren't too heavily scented and they even sent me a photo of the final arrangement before delivering it! Wonderful experience. I dropped in today and though their shop was closed to the public due to COVID-19, I had no trouble phoning in an order, giving only a few ideas for the arrangement I wanted, this was a custom order. What came back was stunning. The photo doesn't even due full justice as the arrangement (vase) was carefully place in a box for traveling. All of this was done within 30 minutes, I was in their parking lot when I first placed the call. I spent $91 on a birthday boutique for my daughter today. Told Sunny I wanted (red roses and white lillies). The boutique showed up with a couple of lillies and a couple of roses, the rest were carnations. Special days are meant to be special and specific arrangements should be done as requested per the quote. I could have delivered the boutique myself for $20. Untrustworthy business!!! Searched online to order birthday bouquet directly from LOCAL florist for daughter. Called from NYC and spoke directly to business owner Sunny, agreeing upon 30 vari-colored tulips. The result exceeded expectations with chic orange -tinted vase and fillers of at least 4 types including pine sprays artistically placed. Yes, this cost about 30% more than if purchased through an anonymous network provider like FTD, Teleflora, etc. but it was a truly artistic and spanking fresh flower arrangement such as is rarely provided these days and more than worth the extra bucks. Great customer service! I ordered a pair of roses online for Valentine's Day, and Sunny was very nice to accomodate a change in message before the delivery time. I am sorry that I feel compelled to write this review. Heaven Scent Flowers was once an absolutely great florist: cheerful, accommodating, value-oriented and easy to communicate with. However, something changed in recent years. Communication with them now is extremely difficult, be it in person, phone or on-line. The biggest issue now seems to be the 'screw-ups'. One simply cannot depend on them for their service, the timeliness of their deliveries or the quality / freshness of their flowers. I had been a devoted customer for years and even put up with the hassels recently: hoping that they would smooth out. They didn't and I am now seeking a different florist. read more
