We were a first time home buyer, new to the whole process and decided to sign our contract with them in October of 21. Our estimated time of completion was 10 months from the start of construction. Land clearing began at the end of December and construction began shortly thereafter. We met with our Superintendent Robert who was friendly, experienced and always readily available to answer any and all questions. As with any construction project there are going to be differences of opinions and discrepancies along the way. All issues were handled by the Director of Operations or the owner Adam quickly and professionally. We needed to be in our home by September and decided to go ahead and close even though we still had 20+ items on the punch list (some that were pretty big items) that still needed to be addressed. Over the next 30 days Robert , our superintendent, made sure all items were complete and worked around my work schedule to get them done. Overall we had a great experience and love our home!! Would recommend to anyone looking for a custom home at an affordable price point.

Unfortunately, getting these issues addressed has been an extremely frustrating experience. We have opened numerous service tickets for the same recurring electrical problem, yet the issue has continued without a lasting resolution. After months of back-and-forth and repeated tickets, we finally started seeing some effort toward actually finding a solution. The decision was made to replace the electrical panel, and we were told the electric company would check back in about a week to determine whether the replacement resolved the problem. However, before that follow-up could happen, the property manager came to our home and asked me to sign the service ticket. He told me they would be checking back in a week, but did not explain that what I was signing meant that I was agreeing to close the ticket. I was under the impression that I was simply acknowledging the work that had been done and that the issue would remain open until we knew whether the replacement actually solved the problem. This is extremely disappointing. After dealing with the same electrical issue for 18 months and opening so many tickets for it, the priority should be making sure the problem is actually resolved--not simply getting the service ticket closed. It feels like the focus has been on closing the ticket rather than addressing the underlying issue and making sure the homeowner is satisfied. We expected much better communication, transparency, and accountability from our builder and property management team. When a homeowner is dealing with a potentially serious electrical problem, the goal should be a proper and lasting resolution--not simply closing another ticket.

A particularly troubling incident occurred when my 73-year-old sister slipped in the mud alongside my home because the area had been left in an unsafe condition. No one from Sitterle contacted me to ask if she was injured or to complete an incident report. For a company that builds premium homes, I expected a much higher level of professionalism, respect, and customer care. Instead, I have experienced repeated delays, poor communication, and a lack of urgency in addressing legitimate concerns. I hope Sitterle Homes takes greater responsibility for the impact its construction projects have on neighboring homeowners and improves its customer service.

When i say leak it it more of a stream anytime it rains and it comes pouring down the bathroom vent. It has flooded our bathroom floor several times. We have been contacting warranty and customer care to help solve this issue but being hit with "out of year warranty". This year with the heavy rain our ceiling is trashed and we have had several roof inspectors sharing how this is a building error or a way they cut edges. Not proper vent installation, not proper calking of areas, possible cheap materials use to get the work done. For a brand new home less than two years in to have roofing issues and major leaking or lack of proper installation of a roof is unacceptable and unbelievable to me. I would suggest not using this builder has they don't look out for the homebuyers and selling new homes with major issues.

The fact that they knew that there were already delays, and told me unrealistic dates, is insane. Meanwhile the home is sitting exposed to the elements, it's clearly falling apart. And again, I'm hearing of a lot of warranty issues occurring with Scott felder homes. I haven't even updated my wife yet about the new delays I'm afraid she'll kill me for choosing Scott felder.
