She recommended a coffee shop but my friend and I went to a competing antique store across the street instead. Anyway, we did come back to Antique Harvest and it's quite a massive location with tons to browse through, so we spent at least an hour here. My friend found a couple of things she wanted to buy and got one of them. Aside from the staff member who told me (a stranger) out of the blue at length about her relationship troubles, our visit was good. We used street parking and paid a meter.

I mean where can you go and pick up a big old Stetson hat, a can of chew, and some aluminum siding. I'm even fond of the way the floorboards creak as you enter in from G-Ville road. It smells like a hardware store should, kinda musty, like leather.... Bosworth & Sons is my kinda joint. I'm not hating on Fredriksen's, but old Bosworth's is like the real deal Holyfield.

I used to live in the area and appreciated being able to read the articles about the sale and conversion of the site from the old chicken processing plant to the new art studios. I also saw many art pieces for sale that made me imagine myself in the future, with more disposable income, and buying art to display in my home. Bought several off the wall items including a Morgan silver dollar with two "heads" as a joke for my flipping friends. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. Whenever I needed help looking at something that was locked in a cabinet, they were very quick to open the cabinets to show me the items that I wanted to look at. We found a very lovely vase and dessert glasses. Lots of interesting treasures and the prices seem very fair.
