My headliner was destroyed because of a glass company who sent me to this shop to have it fix. When I arrived they said they were not told that I had a sun roof but that it wouldn't be a problem. They looked at the headliner and said they were going to have to replace the whole thing and we needed to color match to the closest thing. The lady that works there looked with me and we matched to what was closest to my visors and pillars since this was the interior roof of my car. Not once was I told the material of my panoramic sunroof was not going to be replaced and we did not spend anytime color matching to that material. Fast forward to picking up my car. The interior roof of my car was all replaced to fix the headliner EXCEPT for the PANORAMIC SUNROOF (takes up about 2/3 of my interior. Now I have two different materials at the roof of my car. I NEVER would have agreed to this. They DID NOT EVER mention they were not changing that material. I was nearly in tears and all they wanted to do was refer me to the glass company. They did not take any responsibility for not not stating the sunroof material would not be changed. Why didn't we spend time color matching to the sunroof rather than the visor? I have a giant whole in the middle of my car that is now a different color. Should have gone directly to ford. Waste of time, ruined my interior of my car, and their customer service is awful. ***UPDATE- just read the review from the owner below. Funny how it talks about not replacing the visor or pillars- no where did I mention that I thought we were replacing the visor or pillars. What I stated is that WE (and yes WE as in the blonde woman holding the color swatch to the inside of the car) color matched to the visor and pillars NOT to the sunroof which takes up the middle section of my car ceiling and a big portion of what would have been replaced headliner had there not been a sunroof. I am not in this business and as they had to point out to me that due to the cuts in the headliner they needed to replace the "whole thing" - this was the time to educate me as a customer and tell me that everywhere around the sunroof (including the back of the car) would be replaced EXCEPT the sunroof. I needed to have some boat upholstery fixed as the sun had rotted some stitching. I worked with Rex here who was extremely helpful in coming up with a plan to do this in the most economical manner. They are really busy in the summer months so we made an advance appointment. I dropped off the cushions, they promised they would be done within a week and they were. The method to get multiple bulky cushions in through the door could be improved for the customer to make this a perfect experience, but I am more than satisfied with the speed and professionalism they showed. read more

Rex at Covers Plus really came to our aid with a truck restoration project. The headliner in the truck was totally shot. First, I stopped at an upholstery place in North S'dale and that clown wanted $400. I thought he was joking, but he wasn't. Next, I stopped at Tint World, which is right across the street from Covers Plus. Those guys wanted $350. How are these prices even possible? People don't really pay those prices, do they? As I was leaving Tint World, I spotted Covers Plus across the street. I spoke to Rex and showed him the situation. He immediately figured out that my boys and I are restoring the truck ourselves and he offered to reupholster the headliner for $120 if we removed the headliner and brought it to him. Finally...someone gets it! So, the boys and I took a half hour, removed the headliner, took it to Rex, and a couple weeks later we had a perfect headliner in our hands. We finished the rebuild on the truck last night and it is truly awesome. We built the truck for one of my boys to take to graduate school in Texas. Thank you, Rex and Covers Plus! Now, I have a Mustang that needs the convertible top replaced. I'm not sure if Covers Plus does convertible tops, but Rex is going to be the first person I speak to! read more

My husband & I bought a used Jon boat. We wanted to improve its appearance, so we chose Covers Plus to make a new Bimini cover & cover for the boat. They did a very nice job. After getting it home, we then decided we wanted new carpet, so back to CP we went. CP had new marine carpet to match the old color, so we made an appointment to have it installed. It was a bigger job than it looked, since the seats were on metal boxes riveted down into the bottom of the boat through the carpeting. Rex had to research how to do this & it took extra effort to get this done. While the boat was there, he realized that there were a couple areas that needed reinforcement on the cover they had made (we hadn't noticed it.) When we picked up the boat, it looked great & we are very pleased. The headliner on my 83 280 ZX Datsun T top was in bad shape. I had looked online for a custom headliner, but they were all kinda pricey and then i would have had to try to figure out how to install. Eventually someone suggested I look on Craigslist and I came across Coversplus based in Chandler. Took it across and met up with Rex (very friendly and helpful guy). He took the measurements gave me a quote ordered the materials and set me up for the following week. Job was complete withing a day and with excellent works-manship. Wish I had thought to check on-line at Craigslist earlier rather than waste 12 months thinking about how I was going to do it myself. Well, we had taken our Tahoe to a different shop for a new headliner. That... was... a.. nightmare! The owner at the other shop got arrested and then the wife tried to finish the liner, but she was a hot mess herself & nothing was done after 3 days. So we stuffed all the parts, the material and the headliner board into the back of the Tahoe and drove it over to Rex at Covers Plus. We have a portable indoor steam room that we wanted to use outdoors so asked Rex to build a cover for it. The steamer is oval and I removed the domed lid and brought it in to Rex along with a couple of drawings. Rex figured a way to minimize the amount of material used and also installed a zipper, a top hatch, and clips to hold the zippered door open. I needed a heavy duty sunbrella custom cover to protect my ski boat from outside storage in the Arizona sun. I found Covers Plus (Chandler) on Craigs List and thought I'd place a phone call to see what they were about and whether or not they were a candidate for the job. I was immediately put in contact with the owner / operator (Rex) who was customer service oriented and spent quite a bit of time with me answering questions. Upon explaining my needs, Rex had many unique ideas and suggestions which obviously came from years of experience with covers of all types. There were many different ways we could go about meeting my particular needs but Rex offered several suggestions that frankly I wouldn't have considered on my own accord. After consulting together, we came up with a very solid plan that made sense and was very affordably priced. I dropped off my boat for one week and when I picked it up I was astonished with the quality and craftsmanship that went into this handmade cover. (I have a 21' Sea Ray Sundeck boat with swim deck, wake tower, and dual bimini covers which was going to require several customized angles and cutouts.) The resulting cover fits like an absolute glove and the seams and cutouts line up perfectly and precise. I was completely blown away. I am a very particular customer who is OCD about straight lines and symmetry and was EXTREMELY impressed with the result, particularly because it was handmade. I really cannot describe the level of craftsmanship and how happy I am with the outcome of this project as well as the quality of products and services Rex provides at Covers Plus. It really is an amazing cover and I'm beyond happy. I believe that it is important to recognize a job well done and the value that one brings, particularly in this day and age of unreliability.
