It sat inside the trunk for 5 days before I noticed acid draining from the trunk--I only noticed because it had eaten through the drain plug! After cleaning the area thoroughly with baking soda, I saw that it had corroded part of the tire well. Nikki hooked me up with an appointment the same day. Kenny explained that he could sand it, put some rust proofing, and spray it with primer to make sure it doesn't keep spreading. They knocked it out in less than 24 hours and made it look brand new! I was impressed with the quick turnaround, the quality of the work, and super reasonable price. Having to go to a body shop always sucks because it means something went wrong with your ride, but these guys honestly made it painless from the drop-off to the after-hours pickup. The fact that I didn't have this hanging over my head any more within a day was the best feeling. Next time you need a body shop, look no further!

I dropped my car off on the 21st and I was told my car would be ready on the 3rd of August but they called me on the 29th telling me the car was ready for pick up. I picked up my car the morning of the 30th. Veronica was super helpful in answering my questions and responding back to me in a timely manner. Louis was so kind as well in answering my questions. The team covered a lot of things for free which we are very grateful for. For example, we had a scratch at the front passenger side bumper and they fixed that. We had a missing piece on the roof of the car and they replaced it. Very grateful to meet such a wonderful team in an unfortunate situation.

However, since day one of getting my vehicle back, I noticed the Fender Liner was not properly attached, alongside the bumper. Returning within the week, I was brushed off of this concern, and that if it really bugged me to "Come back". Assuming it was a cosmetic issue, I did not return. Within a few months, the fender liner became detached and began dragging, and as of a few weeks before this review, it completely tore off. Upon requesting warranty and workmanship repair, I was denied and accused not only by the insurance but by the very shop that promises "quality" repairs. Despite my massive amount of evidence, and counter arguments with clear evidence, Vou one of the advisors here had done nothing but instigate, utilize his ego, and argue that I was at fault despite my evidence. If you ever go here, or think about going here, please double check their work and take photos. I am currently and actively perusing legal action against this location and the insurance company, and will proceed with a lawsuit through Small Claims Court. Hopefully Seidner's can make you and your vehicle right.

Our family's Ford Explorer required a water pump replacement…read more I visited several local auto shops to obtain quotes and was shocked, disappointed, and discouraged at the prices I was being quoted for the work my vehicle required ($5,000-$7,500) Shame on me for not reading Yelp reviews before wasting my time visiting other auto shops. I read the many positive reviews for Hye-Tech Auto Repair and decided to visit them. Upon entering, I was greeted by John (owner) with a friendly, "Welcome, how may I help you?" I explained that my Ford Explorer needed a new water pump and a few other items that other auto shops had advised me would require repair or replacement. While John looked up a few items on the computer to provide me with a quote, he introduced me to his son, Harry, who happened to be in the office. Thirty seconds later, John provided a quote that was $3,500-$4,000 less than the other shops. I could not believe it. John explained that he makes his living and succeeds in his business through repeat customers, and he does not believe in gouging customers for every last penny. He also shared that when he retires, his son Harry will take over the business, and he wants to leave Harry with a solid foundation of loyal repeat customers. It was then that I knew I could trust John and his son Harry. John went on to explain that replacing the water pump on a Ford Explorer was a 10-12 hour job, as it was an internal pump requiring numerous engine parts to be removed to reach it. This was the same thing all the other shops advised me. John suggested that I leave my vehicle, and he would perform a full inspection of the engine and contact me before doing anything to it. I agreed and left my vehicle. The following day, I was contacted by John, who advised me that the water pump did indeed need to be replaced, as it was the source of the constant leaks of the water coolant. I left my vehicle in John's shop for three days. During this time, John or his son, Harry, contacted me numerous times to keep me updated on the progress of my vehicle and also to point out that mechanics had discovered two or three very inexpensive items (under $50.00) which they recommended replacing, which I agreed to have done. All in all, I was and am extremely impressed and satisfied with everything about this shop. I spent much less money to have five different issues repaired on my vehicle at Hye-Tech than what I was quoted to replace my water pump alone by every single shop I visited prior to coming to Hye-Tech. John and Harry are very friendly, honest, and trustworthy. They are also very knowledgeable and experienced, and they offer GREAT customer service and communication. This is my new go-to shop for any issues involving our family vehicles. Thank you, Hye-Tech Auto Repair, for a very positive experience.

I chose this…read morecompany based on location and called ahead to confirm they could do more than just read basic codes. I had already done my own diagnostics and knew the car was running rich. I had ruled out the upstream O2 sensor, catalytic converter (both new), MAP sensor, and fuel injectors. I explained all of this to Matt before bringing the car in. He assured me they could perform deeper diagnostics with their equipment. After dropping off the car, Matt called and told me they had "confirmed" exactly what I had already told them, and that the next step would be pulling spark plugs--for an additional fee. At that point, I decided to go elsewhere. What I don't understand is why I was still charged the full $85 diagnostic fee, plus a $4 hazardous materials fee and $3 shop supply fee. Plugging a car into a diagnostic scanner does not generate any hazardous waste--no fluids are drained, no chemicals are used, and no parts are replaced. There's nothing about a basic scan that would justify a hazardous materials charge. That kind of fee typically applies when disposing of things like oil, coolant, or other regulated waste, none of which occurred here. In the end, I paid $92, wasted time and gas, and learned nothing new. The most concerning part was Matt admitting he didn't even know spark plugs would need to be checked as part of further diagnosis.

I brought in a 2005 Volkswagen GTI with numerous little problems just as Christmas was fast approaching. I wanted this car to be returned to 'stock' as a gift. Enter Pierre, Vic, & Covina Auto Body. Deep scratches and nicks on the left and right side trim. Other body shop: We need to replace those parts. Those little strips of plastic that run along the side of your door. Covina Auto Body: "Why replace something that can be fixed?" : O Money Saved: $$$$$$ Passenger side automatic door lock stopped working. Other body shop: We may have to replace that Covina Auto: (Calls me up) "We didn't need to replace anything. Only reset it." Money Saved: $$$$$ Broken side mirror. Other body shop: This is the cost for a whole new assembly Covina Auto: "Let's only buy the piece we need" O_O Money saved: $$$$ More scratches on the bumper. More scratches on the other mirror (this will polish out). Broken hood latch (we found a way to fix it). Burnt out, difficult to replace head light (done). Oil change, polish (not a problem, here's a good price...) Yes. Yes, may I have more, please?! :-) (and when the agreed upon time came to pass) Pierre: "So what do you think of the work so far?" Me: "Beyond What I Expected..." (Exceeded. My. Expectations.) "Here is some extra touch up paint that we already made that color matches with your car." Complimentary. Best body shop ever!! This is a very honest place and have great customer service ! I just left another shop close to Covina AB and I stopped here just to get a second opinion, and boy was I glad i stopped! Rich greeted me and I showed him the scratch on my 2 doors'. He said he thought they scratches could be polished out, and went to grab some manic potion and he buffed my scratches right out!! I was so amazed and very thankful. He saved me money, while that other shop didn't even attempt to polish or even take a good look at it. They were quick to quote me on damage that could have easily been polished out. Im so thank ful for good honest shops like Covina Auto Body!! Even after I tried to give Rich a tip he was so hesitant and gracefully denied any payment. I found these guys on Yelp and am really glad I did. Pierre was very helpful and knowledgeable about the repair process. He handled everything with my insurance company and my Scion was repaired in less than 2 weeks. When I picked up the car, it was cleaned/washed inside and out and I couldn't tell that it had been hit at all.
