When he took measurements…read morefor my cataract surgery he forgot that I had had LASIK surgery 20 years prior and said lens measurements would have been different. He said the double vision should subside; it didn't. Two weeks after surgery I fell and broke my neck. Seven weeks later, I fell and broke my back. He tried to correct it with glasses, but they didn't help. After many months he finally agreed to redo the surgery in my left eye; the redo of the left eye has helped, but I told him I was still having double vision in my other eye. He did a laser procedure to break up floaters in my right eye; it didn't help. Still had funny, distracting dizzy, bad vision. After healing from a broken neck and back, I still needed to use a walker because of the bad vision in my right eye. I fell again, while up on the walker and broke off the top of my humerus bone. I have pleaded with him to do a redo of my right eye because that eye still had the lens with the original wrong measurements. He refuses to correct any more of his mistakes. He is a good surgeon for cataracts ....until he refuses to correct mistakes he made. It is like he doesn't believe me that I am having problems with the other eye too. Now, he said that I should get another ophthalmologist. I am really disappointed in him. Forgot to mention that with my original he said that measurements would have been different for the replacement lens had he remembered about the prior LASIK surgery.

Per the reviews this is not only a place aimed at milking tourists but potentially with some shadiness with billing! we went through every part of my vision insurance and making sure that exactly what I needed was indeed covered- I did this with both her and an insurance rep from my plan! Not only could I have a hefty supply of contacts, but it also covered the annual visit or vision assessment with a choice of glasses or contacts! This is where I get a little confused because on top of all these extra charges for extra services I'm also getting charged for the "contact visit" per the office :(

This time I was given conflicting information by different staff members. One person said glass lenses could be ordered (with a long wait time), but after she spoke with another staff member, I was suddenly told that glass 'isn't possible' in any Oakley frame and that my only options were polycarbonate or Trivex. I prefer glass lenses for durability and scratch resistance. They told me because of my high Prescription Lens Index they can't do glass in the Oakley frame I requested. On the Mohs scale glass is 5 - 6 (extremely hard), Trivex is 1.5 - 2, and Polycarbonate is 1 (extremely soft). It's easy to see why I want glass for scratch resistance.

It left my nose somewhat disfigured. It wasn't horrible, but the scarring and damage was enough to put a pretty big dent in my self-esteem. Of course, I am very thankful to have had the cancer removed, but it was tough coming to terms with what I saw in the mirror. I did all of the things I was supposed to do - I used the right silicone, massaged, even had several micro-needling sessions. Nothing really helped. I figured I would just suck it up and try to play with makeup to camouflage it, even though it didn't. Over the course of two years, I became far less social and much shyer. Noting these changes, my family encouraged me to make an appointment for a consultation with Fedok Plastic Surgery. Someone very close to us had been in an accident that damaged her face quite a bit, and Dr. Fedok had been the surgeon that put her back together, so to speak. When she showed me her immediate post-surgery photographs, I couldn't believe it. There were stitches everywhere, yet now her face shows virtually no signs of an accident. It was amazing work, beautifully done. That pushed me off the fence, and I set up the appointment. I am now a few weeks post-surgery, and I feel like I have my life back. I know that sounds dramatic, but I didn't realize how much the disfigurement on my nose had affected me. I have a little ways to go, but I'm stunned at the difference. To say that I'm grateful to Dr. Fedok and his incredible staff is an understatement. They are all wonderful - kind, professional, caring, funny, the list goes on.
