Everyone was super friendly. I would recommend making an appointment here as they do have many patients to see.

Disappointed and Misled -- Never Again…read more I recently visited Eye and Coffee Guy (formerly "$50 Eye Guy") for an eye exam because my insurance covers the exam with just a $10 copay. To my surprise, I was charged an outrageous $143 for the exam, with insurance. My insurance also includes a $250 allowance toward any frames, but I was told by the sales associate that this didn't apply to frames in the glass case (such as Oakley, Tom Ford, Coach, etc.). That is completely false. I ended up using my own frames and was charged $568 for just the lenses. After insurance, I still had to pay $170 out of pocket -- just for lenses with anti-glare. I needed the glasses urgently, so I paid it, but I absolutely regret it. On August 1st, I placed my order and gave them my $500 Tom Ford frames to have the lenses fitted. Instead of handling them carefully, they broke my frames during the process. Not only did they fail to apologize, but I was told over the phone that I would need to purchase another set of frames because they were not liable for frame damage per the paperwork I signed. When I asked about a credit or refund since they broke my frames, they refused. I then asked for a refund on the lenses so I could take my business elsewhere, but they told me the lenses were already cut and nonrefundable. To make matters worse, if I bought new frames, the lenses would need to be remade anyway. At that point, I ordered new frames from another store, choosing not to give Eye and Coffee Guy another dime. Twenty-five days later, my glasses finally arrived -- far too long for something so basic. Horrible and slow service from start to finish. For comparison, I later went to another local optometrist who immediately told me that my $250 insurance frame allowance was still valid since I hadn't used it. I was able to use it toward a pair of Dolce & Gabbana frames with no problem. The competitor quoted me $125 out of pocket for lenses with anti-glare, anti-scratch, and UV protection -- all made in-house and ready the same day. Meanwhile, Eye and Coffee Guy quoted $399 for the same lens features and still had to send them off. Even with insurance, I paid more here than I would have paid in full elsewhere without insurance. I feel completely misled, taken advantage of, and frankly, ripped off. The lack of transparency, the misinformation, the refusal to take accountability, and the careless handling of my expensive frames is unacceptable. I will never return for optical services again. To top it off, I've been a loyal coffee customer here 4 times a week. But after this experience, I will no longer be giving this business a single dollar for coffee or anything else. The only thing close to $50 here is the coffee and muffins. Do better.

I had ordered a pair of prescription Ray-Ban sunglassses on Oct. 20th and they were supposed to arrive two weeks later (Nov. 3rd) for an epic road trip to the desert southwest. They did not arrive, so I had to drive 2,500 miles without sunglasses. On Wednesday (Nov. 5th) they called and advised that my glasses were ready for pickup. I returned today, but they could not find them. Turns out, they forgot to tint them! WHO BUYS UNTINTED RAY-BANS? So they had to send them back to the lab. Every single pair of glasses I've ordered through Terrezza have been wrong! On one occasion, an optical staff member forgot to include the prism, a critical oversight when that's part of the prescription! Every other time, it been a screw-up by the lab, also owned by Dr. Gene Terrezza. Several weeks ago, I took my wife to pick up her new RX glasses...guess what? No prism on her new lenses either! I CAN NO LONGER RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS! Take your business to a place that values Quality Control (QC), because Gene Terrezza obviously has lost sight of that valuable commodity.

RACIST STAFF!!! (Excluding Vickie)…read more This review is regarding my experience at Visionworks, 5100 N. 9th Ave., Suite 8101, Pensacola, FL 32504. After three separate visits to this location, I believe I witnessed and personally experienced a disturbing pattern of racial discrimination in the way customers are treated. I want to specifically exclude Vickie from this review, because my concerns are not about her. My experiences with Rachel Andrews and Tracy Schultz were particularly concerning. During my transaction, Rachel Andrews added items/additional charges that I did not request. I discovered them only after questioning why I was being charged more than expected. Customers should not have to discover unrequested additions by questioning their bill after the fact. My experiences with Tracy Schultz were even more troubling. On multiple visits, I personally witnessed her walk past Black customers to assist white customers. When I approached her with very basic questions regarding pricing and refunds, she would not answer them and instead had a Black employee assist me. I was later advised that Tracy could have answered those questions herself, which left me completely confused as to why I was transferred to another employee in the first place. I witnessed this type of behavior on three separate visits. When I returned to complete an exchange, Tracy saw me enter the store and immediately walked away. Instead of acknowledging or assisting me, she went to the mirror and began fixing/fluffing her hair. Once again, another employee was left to assist me. Taken together, these experiences gave me the strong impression that Black customers were being directed to Black employees while white customers received Tracy's attention and assistance. I found the pattern insulting, discriminatory, and completely unacceptable. I do not make an accusation of racial discrimination lightly. I am describing what I personally experienced and witnessed repeatedly at this location. Visionworks management needs to take these concerns seriously and review the conduct and customer interactions occurring at this store. Based on my experience, I strongly caution African-American customers about visiting this Visionworks location for glasses or optical services. No customer should ever be made to feel that the color of their skin determines whether an employee is willing to acknowledge them, answer a basic question, or provide them with service. Again, this review does NOT apply to Vickie.

They saved my vision…read more I went to my regular eye appointment at 2:00 pm. Dr Corredor, OR with Terrezza's office compared my photos of my eyes that they had just taken & then compared them to last years. That's when he immediately said "this doesn't look right to me". Dr Corredor, OD immediately referred me to Retina Specialty Institute. Because of the severity of my right eye, they got me in in less than 30 minutes. He took care of me so well. So I then arrived to Retina Specialty Institute statute. I waited less than 10 minutes before they called me back. According to Dr Ahmet Ozkok, MD, It turned out that my right eyes's retina had torn/detached in a horse shoe type pattern. I believe he said it was 80% detached. He immediately did a type of laser procedure. He made sure to add numbing drops first. And when I cried, he would stop and calm me down. I cried because apparently I'm just a baby! He has a wonderful bedside manner. I may be older - but I was still so scared. He gave me very specific instructions and the staff stayed late because of my procedure. Everyone was so very nice & patient with me. Dr Oscar Corredor, OD (Terrezza's Optical) and Dr Ahmet Ozkok MD (Retina Specialty Institute) saved my vision. Because this happened late on a Friday afternoon. Had they not cared about me - I would have ended up in emergency surgery over the weekend. I love both these doctors and I know you will too. I trust them both with not just my vision but with my life. These two doctors worked in tandem to save my vision. That is why I decided to put them both in each of their businesses.
