    I had high hopes for Cox Electric after the owner came for a presentation. He was excellent and personable, but the installation process left a lot to be desired. 1. The base for the generator was described to me one way and was installed another way. When I reached out with questions or options I was generally blown off. 2. The electrician who did the work was unpleasant. He spit sunflower seeds all over my property during his time here and that included inside the transfer switch box! 3. For whatever reason they hacked my gutters that run straight into the ground off to install the transfer switch. They left it hanging off for over two weeks and I had to call repeatedly to get them come and fix it. They eventually came unannounced and did a terrible job. I had to call AGAIN to have them do it the right way. On top of that I had asked to be present for the second attempt of repair but they showed up unannounced again. I don't even consider the repair adequate because they used a plastic gutter piece to go into the ground. Plastic will be destroyed in the coming winters. Proper repair would of been to move the underground drainage pipe and have the gutter feed into it directly. 4. When we got to the final step ion start up, they abruptly left during the connection from there generator to the app on my smart phone after they couldn't resolve the issue. They literally gave me the manual and told me to call the number in there on my own because they couldn't figure it out.n They were in a rush to make their next appt. apparently. I called the number the next day and they walked me though everything perfectly. That being said, the startup team were very pleasant and friendly. They just an obligation to leave at a certain time I imagine. 5. For $10,000, I was surprised there wasn't more checking in on the install work and with me during the process. As far as I know, neither the owner or project manager inspected the work in person or even asked me if I was happy with everything. For 10k. you bet I'd be there during and after insuring my client was happy. Not frustrated. Again they talked a good game at the beginning, but I expected better service and overall the process was generally stressful. I was not a fan of having to reach out to them several times for clarifications or folllow-ups. A more proactive approach on their end would have been appreciated. I was pretty clueless about generator installs before this, and would of set clearer expectations for them during the project knowing what I know now. I will be using them to service the generator and will write a separate review for that when the time comes.

    Very professional, they are neat and do great work. They installed a 18kw Generator at my house.
