Hit or miss experience with Roia appliance company. We used them twice for different issues. One was for the washing machine and the other for dishwasher. The first time, we called them because our Samsung washing machine was leaking. They found the problem and thought they'd fixed it but it still kept happening. So they came back for no additional fee and fixed another part that eventually fixed the problem. They charged 150$ for the diagnostic fee. The second time, we called them because our kitchen aid dishwasher was not working. They charged 150$ for the diagnostic fee again and said the motherboard was fried after a power surge, and that the part was unavailable for months. We called kitchen aid and had one of their contracted technicians come few weeks later. They said that something was wrong with the motor pump. They said both parts were available, and they'd have the motor pump fixed in a week's time. Only thing was we had to pay for their labor again and for the part time. So totally, we ended up spending 600$ and could've bought a new machine itself. Overall, they respond quickly and send someone out fairly soon. Sometimes they're helpful, other times not. read more

We had Roia work on two refrigerators beginning in May 2023. The first issue (beverage fridge), was diagnosed and repaired promptly. The bigger issue was an inoperable ice-maker on a large fridge. The techs were great and worked with the manufacturer in trying to diagnose. Several parts were replaced and we spent over $600 (so far) trying to fix this issue unsuccessfully . Their last visit was in January 2024 and since then countless texts and voicemails have gone unanswered. We still have no ice. Very poor customer service. read more

I recently purchased a new dishwasher and hired Roia to install it. The tech showed up with a strong odor of marijuana on him and damaged our brand-new cabinets while installing the dishwasher. I contacted Roia to understand our options. They informed me that they would file an insurance claim, but couldn't provide any further detail as to how the cabinet would be fixed. It's now been two months since the cabinet was damaged and I haven't received any update. I understand these things happen, but Roia's response and outright avoidance of resolving the issue has been unacceptable. read more

The service call for my GE refrigerator was subpar. The repair man was inexperienced, maybe 20 yrs. Old. 1st thing he asked me was did a take a video of the noise coming from the fridge. Uh, no, not exactly something I would do. Then he admonished me for not doing so. He never moved the fridge away from the wall to check the coils or anything else behind it, never unplugged, reset etc. just said the control panel had to be replaced. I asked him, aren't you going to pull out the unit & check behind? He said no. The fridge is 4 yrs old, he said I probably need a new one. I called another appliance company and they were shocked that he didn't even look behind the unit. I've called Roia 2x per day for past 3 days requesting a new service provider & they have not returned my calls. Service fee was $165. If I could give zero stars I would. DO NOT hire them! read more

Mike, co-owner with his brother I believe, has come to my house on 3 occasions to troubleshoot and repair a microwave, oven, and built in fridge. He did a great job, was very knowledgeable, and knew what each problem was the second he looked at each appliance. His rate is reasonable and he cleaned up after each visit. He seems very passionate about his craft goes into grave detail about what's wrong with your appliances. I've sought assistance from 2 other appliance repair companies in the past with no success. Mike and Roia Appliance are the real deal, plus they service Viking. Not sure what the last reviewer's, Angelica, issue was but it sounds suspicious. read more

This is the truth... as said by my boyfriend..So I'm pretty sure this was the owner who came to do a repair on my stove, and after everything was all done I walked into my kitchen to find a mess in my kitchen, & a cut wire that was removed from somewhere, in my toaster.... I walked down to confront him about it and his words were " just throw it out" I then said it would be nice if you cleaned up after you finish your job and he told me to f*** off and flipped me the bird. So I then tried to call the company phone and it was the same guy and he called me another vulgar name. Worst service I've seen yet. I work in a business that our top priority is to leave the job complete as clean. Shows the type of worker this company has. Highly recommend you steer yourself away from this company.... this is the truth and this is not something that was made up. UPDATED REVIEW AND REPLY TO OWNER This is not a false review. I live on Richmond Street in Bristol. My landlord contacted him to make the repairs not us. It's obvious he's trying to cover his tracks seeing how he does warranty repair work for several large companies. Make no mistake I have the right company. Roia Appliance. A white Ford van with the Roia logo. We were face to face. My boss told me his dad fixed his appliances in the 80s and 90s and his father jaime would be ashamed of how he handled this situation. We were extremely happy with the service that Mike gave us. He was called in to fix my double oven. I had Wickford Appliance in twice before for the same problem and they gave two different reasons for the second oven not heating up. Both times the problem was not resolved. Mike came in and found the issue that the Wickford repair people never considered. He found the problem and it is now working perfectly!! I also asked him to look at my dryer that was also looked by Wickford Appliance---- twice in three years. It was punched at Wickford Appliance and I spend money on a new part that did not resolve the heating problem. Mike immediately found what was wrong and the heating coil that I purchased last year had nothing to do with the issue! I highly recommend Roia. He is smart, professional and prompt. read more

I cannot say enough positive things about this company. Mike came out to help us troubleshoot a couple problems with our oven and install a gas dryer. Our oven kept turning off when we were trying to preheat it. We originally called Roia Appliance because we thought it might need a new control board, but since calling had become suspicious that it was actually the circuit breaker. Mike helped us troubleshoot and we were able to avoid replacing the control board. I feel like so many people would have just replaced the working control board just to charge you the money for it. Mike not only helped us avoid that cost, but he gave us an estimate of what it would cost have an electrician fix the problem. He also quickly diagnosed and fixed the broiler on the oven. When he went to install the dryer he found that the previous owners took an adapter we needed. He brought me down to show me the problem and then ran to the hardware store to purchase the piece and told me what to expect the price to be before doing so. He was back in a timely manner and had us up and running in no time. I would definitely hire Mike and company again. They were professional, timely, and most of all decent human beings. read more
