She immediately said, "Let me take care of everything from start to finish and take this off your hands." And she meant every word. Candice arranged for my son to be embalmed in Albuquerque, then personally drove all the way there, picked him up, and brought him home. She gave us the chance to have a short, meaningful viewing with him before cremation. She handled every single detail, start to finish, with compassion, professionalism, and genuine care. What amazed me even more is that she charged us the same amount as if we had done everything in Albuquerque -- no extra fees, no surprises, just kindness. It was actually the third time in 4 years their services have been needed and because my sister-in-law was very satisfied with their service after her mother passed away, she turned to them again when her little brother died unexpectedly a year ago. On January 25th my big brother had a massive heart attack, totally unexpected since he had no previous heart conditions. They made it to the hospital but in spite of heroic efforts by the doctors, they were unable to save him. He was only 65. Our family is heartbroken to lose him. Again, Rector Funeral Home was contacted to assist in planning the services. When I got to town I went there for a viewing. No one else was there at the time I went . When I broke down, it was the receptionist who put her arms around me and comforted me, almost as if she was family. I really appreciated that. My brother had so many family, friends and acquaintances and was so well-thought of that they predicted more people would attend services than their chapel could hold. The director stepped forward and offered the church he attends for the services. They were right, the church was full. It was very heartwarming to see the outpouring of affection from all those who knew my brother and were sorry to lose him. The church ladies even prepared a lovely lunch for about 50 of the family and close friends following the services. We all hope we won't lose the ones we love. But we will, eventually, and it's comforting to know there is a place like this who will help you take care of your needs and provide you with as meaningful an experience as possible. Understanding that people make mistakes, but to make light of the situation of switching BODIES-is not understanding at all. There was family that came a long way who, after having to wait, then come back, just to be pushed out again are in shock that a professional funeral home would be so disgustingly terrible. I cannot believe there is anything other than gross misconduct when it came to this situation. I do NOT recommend this business, and for it having such a popular name in town, I'm sure it was great at one time, but not now. Horrible, horrible, horrible service!

Our mom recently passed away. She had lost so much weight that we were concerned that they wouldn't be able to make her look like herself so we would be able to let our family see her again. Tracy did such a wonderful job making our mom look like herself! It was such a relief to see how good she looked! Tracy was so good about taking multiple calls and changing up things at the last minute for us. He did a fantastic job and we're so thankful for him and all of those who helped make this difficult time easier for us.

My brother passed and I went to check on the grave and put flower. While there, I noticed the…read moreground needed pushed down. I started walking and pushing the dirt down and fell through a sink holes up to my knee. They did not fill the grave around the vault and the ground. I went with a 2 by 2 and found other sink holes that are three feet deep. They blame me for the fall saying I should have asked for maintenance. I didn't know it needed maintenance until I fell into the sink hole. They refused to pay for my xray on my knee and ankle. They have not watered my mothers grave in 4 years. We had to haul water in to water moms grave. The well was broke they said. That was because of Covid they said. They do not take care of the grave stones and just let them sink under ground. This place is a joke.DONT PURCHES . You will be disappointed in the care of your loved one.
