I called them, who we've done business with for 7 years, and they told me I was stuck in a contract and had to pay 100% of what was left on contract to cancel. I call back again another person tells me my contracts had expired months ago and I was on a month to month plan. I immediately canceled. Buyers beware of this company and their predatory contracts and trying to scare you out of canceling when you can. AT&T and t-mobile have better customer service, fraction of the price, same product. Do not get Cox television services. There letting the networks slap ad banner pop-ups all over the TV screen! You can't even watch anything for all the pop-ups! Everytime an important part of a scene comes on they'll slap a ad banner pop-up right on top of it! Forget about closed captioning because you won't be able to read it for all the pop-ups ads! The programming is unconscionable! There are about 20 movies that the networks regurgitate and they show them over and over and over and over again! The same ones! The ads are just horrible! You watch 3 mins of a show and then they jump to an ads for 5-8 mins! They're even cutting movies short to cram in more ads! The networks are stealing your viewing that you're paying for and Cox is letting the networks do it! So don't get Cox television services because it's nothing but ads and very, very little entertainment. Cox should rename their television service to ad service billboard. They're pathetic! read more

This is not about the Cox Store but is about Cox Communication as an internet provider. Cox Communications has a monopoly in our neighborhood, Reflection Ridge at Battle Creek, so we are stuck with them. For the last two months they have had a never-ending stream of "temporary outages" in our neighborhood. In early June they were down for days at a time until they finally notified us that the problem was "resolved". I guess their definition of resolved is that the "temporary outages" only last a few hours. They are terrible but have no incentive to improve if it is true that they have some kind of deal with the City of Broken Arrow. read more

This is about Cox not the store. Thr stores do their best. Cox as a whole is the worst. You are forceforced to rent a junk digital bbox the will go out constantly. We have replaced ours dozens of times and they keep failing. You will miss a lot of your shows because of these junk boxes. They make it cost so much to just get the internet without cable that you are stuck. Beside the speeds are upto speeds so most of the time you are better using your cell phone. read more

11-28-2023, 11:30 AM, went to Cox store, 103rd & Memorial, to replace a remote with a sunken/broken center command button. Adrian greeted us at the door, asked how he could help, showed him remote and he immediately exchanged it without question. He then asked if there was anything else he could help us with and I said, in jest, he could "pay our cable bill." I also asked about the recent installation of fiber optic cable in our neighborhood. He said he could look into it, found a promotion and reduced our monthly bill quite a bit -- for ONE year anyway. He said we now had the fiber optic connection. In a follow-up Cox text message confirming transaction, I learned that our account number was also changed - not thrilled with that; but, oh well. read more

This rating does NOT reflect on the Cox Store, but the (lack of) retention plan for Cox Communications. Upon expiration, our "special rate" (bundled with unused land line service) kept creeping up and up and up - to the point of being an unwarranted expense. Time to cut the cord. During the cancellation call, the agent tasked with justifying their unreasonable rate, offered a 30% discount. As I declined the offer, I asked why that wasn't my rate, if the services were worth 30% less now. I didn't expect an answer from this helpful gentleman, but do from the parent company. Returning the equipment was seamless (5 stars). The employee even offered further reduction of my monthly rate. Now my bill is 30% of its former financial burden. I miss my local programming for now, but not for $200 / month. Thank you streaming services. read more

I have been lied to by several times concerning my internet services. No one can give me the correct information. Ashley with the loyalty team stated that I would not be charged the full amount of my bill since it was inaccurate. Well, I was charged the full amount. Absolutely incompetent workers, takes three or four of them to figure out a billing issue and very rude. Also if you ever try and call cox for any issue they will just randomly hang up on you. I Returned a streaming device that had a deposit on it and they said I had to get it in writing from a bank statement, I said it's 2020 you can see on my account that I paid for it it's not that hard. With the terrible and incompetent workers as well as being extremely over priced for basic internet I will be terminating my contract with them and beg any one I know to never ever go to cox. read more

DO NOT let them convince you to buy "gigablast". We have had 2 techs come to our home and one of them said "yeah you'll never achieve those speeds" and laughed. We went into this store 3 times. Their "manager" Kurt lied and told us he would help settle our bill.. typed a bunch of BS. Gave us no receipt and said "he'd hook us up". Hook us up with what? Bill hasn't changed and internet is SLOWWWWWWW. It's just me and my husband. I work from home and can't fulfill orders due to the lack internet speed. Now I hotspot my phone to my laptop and it's 39383383 times faster than what we are paying for. Ridiculous. read more

After only 4 weeks, I returned a new contour box that was complete trash. The agent acted like I had 2 heads. He said they would work on it. I told him that I wanted a new one. He said they were not sure if it would be new or re-built because they came from the same place. I also told him the remote didn't work at first and he said that was impossible since it was the new style, as if I was lying about it. He finally finished the paper work, gave me the box, and just said bye. I said I didn't want to have to come back. no response. He didn't even walk me to the door, as all associate do. read more
