So i tried to buy a used v star an meet with the salesman "WOODY". He said he could work out a deal on the bike an get a good trade in on my bike I owned..... Man that was a lie the bike was marked 10k on the showroom floor when i pointed out thats a little high for that bike he stated we could work on the price. I left the store due to me not having my bike on me so we exchanged info an i started the online app to finance the bike. I go home an find that the same exact bike is on cycle trader advertised for his store at 6500 (3500 mark up fuck!!!). I had to send my emplayment verfication an address we are going back an for for several days due to woody taking his sweet time. On 2 different occasions he stated he would let me know the next day what numbers he came up with for finacing but i never got that only excuses. When i stated ive never had to work so hard to buy a bike i ment it this is not how you get business Woody informed me half the staff were at a demo an he would get back to me yet again on Monday (Never happened). I pointed out that he had all my info for over 5 days it shouldnt take that long to process. I feel as if Woody was making me wait till the day of the sale to give me numbers cause he knows i live an hour away an once im in the store hes got me trapped. I dont mess with those sales tactics an just like that they lost a customer. What makes it even better is 2 days earlier i called coyne powersports to see if i could talk to another salesperson cause Woody didn't seam to motivated to sell the bike an since they had all my info maybe i could get someone else. The person behind the counter i talked to was woodys daughter an she never Relayed the message for me cause nobody ever called me back. Second bad coyne motorsports experience i will never go back. The one in el Centro isnt much better an i got a ticket otw if thats not a sign idk what is. read more

Sometimes you have to learn the hard way. My first encounter with them involved staff that wouldn't tend to me as I watched them sit at their desks reading, as I stood by the bike I eventually ended up buying. I just ended up walking out after 10 minutes. The manager caught wind of what happened and tried to intervene and save the day. My mistake for allowing the attempt, and I ended up purchasing the bike the following week, in 2012. Two years later I brought my girlfriend in, where we waited 4.5 hours to sign papers on her Yamaha 250, which I had pre arranged the deal b4 coming up, including trade in. I shoulda known better, AGAIN. That was 5 months ago. And then yesterday took the trophy for unprofessionalism. The manager had found me the $16,000 bike i was looking for. He said he could have a truck to my house in 3 days to take my two trade in's. I woke up at 6 yesterday morning, cleaned the bikes, and waited. Truck came, took the bikes, and told me it was best to follow him up an hour later to give store a chance to go over the trade-in's. We got there 3 hours later to find that my promised bike wasn't even there, and that it was in Imperial Ca. This was NEVER mentioned to me when the manager and I set up the deal, but yet he and his finance guy thought it was perfectly normal to assume that the bike couldn't possibly be there. Might I add this was same manager from 2012? After an hour and a half of no communication with manager, I secured a better deal elsewhere, where I was treated with respect from a respectable dealership. The Coyne manager then refused to bring my bikes back. I grabbed two FORMER customers that I had referred to Coyne, drove to Banning, and we rode the bikes back home. I'm glad the manager got to look them in the face. Needless to say, both of them will not be buying again from Coyne, nor the 20 other bikers in my group, and those that might have Facebooked my experience . I got ZERO appology from manager or staff when I walked in, but the manager decided to kick me while I was down and tell me one of my trade in's had "no oil" in it, NONE. It just ended up being a desperate lie, but to accomplish what? It was ultimately less than half a quart low. So pathetic... I'm sure there are positive reviews somewhere out there for this dealership, but not from this guy, NOR my referrals, nor any of my riding buddies. ZERO class, zero respect, and a "kick you when you're down" mindset. How they make money is beyond me.... Good Luck, Coyne... You're gonna need it... Time to go ride my new bike! Hugo in parts took great care of me, they have an incredible selection and they have air conditioning which is important on hot sticky days hahaha I've never really been in here before but they have jet skis they have Yamaha, Kawasaki, Honda, Suzuki, Polaris, Can-Am and Sea-Doo. Took in my 2007 Honda CRF450r, was guaranteed a top end rebuild job completed in 1 month. TOOK THEM 6 MONTHS. Got the bike back with faded plastics (they leave the bikes sitting outside in the sun) When they finally get to your bike to repair it, they must not bother making sure your bike runs because it ran even worse after paying $1500!!!!!!! You barely step one foot in the door and it's a feeding frenzy for the sales people, very poor service. read more

Here's my experience. I ordered a ranger highlifter edition in March. Months went by and I called a few times to ask and was assured it was on its way. I get a call today may 25 that they made a mistake and that edition isn't California legal. So I opt to get my $2500 dollar deposit back. Here it gets more interesting I paid with my fathers cc and Chris the manager accuses me of fraud when I ask for the check. Lol. So he sends it to my dad in Chicago. Who defrauded who? You took my money knowing that machine wasn't Cali legal. And then expect me to buy another machine from you. Coyne power sports. Is a circus ran by clowns. Don't waste you time. read more

The sales rep I was dealing with led me to believe that they had a bike they never had. After driving and hour and a half to get my new bike, they didn't have it, they didn't have the exhaust I wanted as well or any real Street riding gear. If your looking for a dirt bike maybe ok place but when buying a street bike and look out for the bait and switch. Look elsewhere. read more

The service department is mediocre at best. Twice I've gotten two different RZRs returned with the seat belts installed half a**. Bringing something in for service or repair I expect my equipment to be returned put together as good if not better than dropped off. Especially the seat belts. The first time I called and spoke to the manager to voice my concerns telling him they should be concerned with not just safety but being sued when they did it to someone who doesn't know any better. I got an OH WELL attitude, I didn't even bother this time. Just be warned..... if you have aftermarket seats and belts even in a 170 you will have to go back through and redo their work. read more

I've been looking for a bike to replace my 1986 Honda Shadow because two mechanics where I live have told me they couldn't find parts for it anymore; and it just spent 3 Summer months in the shop while they looked for used ones. In my search I found a bike I liked at Coyne & a whole list of bikes in Washington State where my brother lives. An awesome guy from Coyne named Woody called me in response to my online request. I called him back one night after I had gotten off work, and we ended up talking 20 minutes over when he was supposed to get off work! However it never felt like he was rushing me to hang up soon. He answered all of my questions very patiently & energetically with personality. He said he'd do some research on the questions he didn't quite have all the information for, and get back to me. He did. One day later. I called him back that night and bam. Everything started falling into place. Something about it felt right, even though I still had a list of about 20 bikes in my notebook. So late this past Friday afternoon, I rented a car & drove one way early Saturday morning to pick it up & ride it back home to San Jose for my first Summer adventure. While down in Banning by myself in this semi intimidating, majorly new experience for me, after a 7 hour drive on only 4 hours of sleep, I was still cognizant enough to know that I had met some very special, unique and wonderful people! Which one might think is a little shocking because those people were at a dealership! However when it's true, it's true! From the sales person, to the warranty person, to the cashier taking my fat stack of cash, to the mechanics in the shop; EVERYONE was so down to earth, friendly, happy, and just decent people, that it was hard to believe that I was still in the state of California! In a world where everything seems so backwards, and so messed up, it's heartening to know that I chose the right place to go where there are actual humans with hearts, and just plain decency. Before Saturday, we were technically strangers. And when I left the dealership, I felt sad because it felt like I was leaving what could have been great big family. They went above and beyond to be helpful during the process. This is how humans should treat one another; with graciousness and kindness, just being themselves. And they did this from the moment I arrived, to the second I rode off on that bike. At some point, there really wasn't anything in it for them, because I'd already bought and paid for the bike! However that's not who this dealership is. Even though I didn't really want to give my money away for what may seem to some like a silly purchase; a damn motorcycle, I knew that I wanted to give it to somebody who was trustworthy, and decent. And every single one of those people there are! They are hard workers, fun-loving, generous & kind people! And if my money went to help them have a better and happier life at home and work, then I chose the right place!! And that's truly what the entire concept of money is about-- money is only really an exchange of skills & services. I worked and used my skills and services to get the money. And in exchange I gave it to people who also work hard and used their skills & services to exchange a shiny, washed and running great motorcycle with me. They even shared their own motorcycle tips; a few of which I ended up using on the ride back!!! Now that's priceless! They didn't have to do that. They could have treated me as just a business transaction, but they did not. Because apparently, that's not how they do business. Bought a 2014 Yamaha V star 950 from Coyne a couple of months ago. Woody, the salesman told me the bike had a special type of valves that never had to be adjusted. This was one of the major selling points for me because that meant servicing the bike would be much cheaper. Turns out this was a lie. I went into Honda and Yamaha of Redlands and they checked and said the valves DO have to be adjusted, in fact, at the next service coming up in about 200 miles. The service will cost about $700!!! Because they have to adjust the valves!!! I was cheated and lied to and now I'm stuck with this bike. Thanks a lot!! read more

Travis, the General manager josh and Scott are all great people. I went to several dealers for quotes and nobody came close to their price. They gave me good money for my trade in as well. The service was outstanding. I asked for the paperwork to be prepped before I showed up and they had me in and out in 5 minutes once I arrived. The GM even helped me load up my dirt bike. Most bikes seem to be at a good price, customers service is great but if you're looking to buy tires or get it serviced it will cost you an arm and a leg. I needed tires for my 16 r6. This was the closest shop and I had to get the tires changed today. I took the bike in and the guy told me it cost 170 to change the tires. I called Yamaha Motorsport in palm spring, they would charge me 125, I called a small shop in palm desert 95. But my bike wouldn't make it so I had to pay the 170 to get me on the road. Also when I was looking for the tires I looked into their site and for the bridge stone battlax s21 they wanted over 200 for just the rear tire. Revzilla sold me both tires for under 300. Never taking my bike here again. read more

I purchased a side by side and a used trailer. Everything went smooth until two months later the trailer started to break apart at the leaf spring hangers (I'll post some photos). Luckily I noticed it before it completely broke of while on the freeway. I understand it was used so I know I was on my own. I contacted the dealer just to help me with something to keep me happy and not feel totally screwed. I would have been happy if they gave me a few t-shirts or something! I emailed the general manager and received nothing. Not even an apology and that there's nothing they can do. So I'm stuck repairing this trailer two months into my my purchase. Bought a turbo RZR at the sand show thru Hugo with the blessing of Travis the owner. I told them I would pay cash, gave them 1000 dollar deposit, but would need help shipping to Sacramento. When I arrived on Wednesday to finalize the deal they had done nothing to help with shipping. Time was short and had to return home to go to work. When I contacted them again now I have no deal. I have the paper work that shows the amount of the deal and a cashiers check for the full amount and no deal. I spent an extra day in Banning and a hotel stay to make this happen. When the owner takes your deposit,gives you the paperwork,looks you in the eye shakes your hand and says you have a deal. You expect to have a deal. What happened to integrity? read more

We did our research, called ahead to make sure the UTV was in stock (told us they had 5 or 6), drove for an hour and were told they had just sold the only one they had. Said the guy who took the call (Derek) was new (and apparently didn't know how to check stock or count). So Woody said he'd see what he could do. I had a problem with my brake caliper which was in my hand. I showed up at the shop at 4:45 in the afternoon and asked if they could help me with my problem. The service guy took my caliper to the back gave it to another guy who took about 10 minutes to do it had to be done and gave me back my caliper and said no charge. Great customer service. Service is a joke. Either they are incompetent or thieves. Took my son's quad in that has been sitting for a couple years to get serviced and up and running. I took it in the last week of October to get it ready for thanksgiving weekend. I understand that, that is a busy time for service but I did ask before I dropped it off if it could be done before then and the service writer said "it will be done". I didn't hear from them for two weeks so I called and they said " that it's been diagnosed and since I was on the phone I can authorize them to order the parts. They told me the parts are in their warehouse and they can start working on it in a day and should be finished the following day. A week goes by and no word from them. So I call again and they told me they are waiting on parts and they should get them the next day and the quad should be finished that day. 3 days go by and no word. My trip is coming up. I called and asked for status and they told me that they are waiting on parts and it won't be done till November 30th. Past my trip. After arguing with the service manager they finally got someone to work on it and I picked it up the day before my trip. I started it up it idled fine so I assumed it was running. I got out to Glamis and the quad wasn't running right it would run for a minute or two then bogg out and die. My son was so disappointed and couldn't ride his quad in Glamis . I went home looked at the invoice and it said cleaned carb and replaced battery and fluids. The battery was the same battery and I doubt they thoroughly cleaned the carb. This mistake cost me 500 dollars. I WILL NEVER GIVE THEM ANY BUSINESS EVER. It's too bad too because I'm local and my family is getting back into riding and I was willing to give them plenty of future business. Guess it's back to chaparral for me. read more

Stopped in on a Friday to schedule an appointment to have a manufacturer recall completed. They told me to bring it in the following Monday. I was there at 9:00am on Monday, the first customer. In addition to the very minor wiring recall upgrade, I asked for my rear tire to be replaced. After 5 hours I called, and I was told "yeah, I think the tire is done but I don't think the other job was completed because we don't have the parts" in addition to this, the staff attitude over all is very unprofessional, this business is in dire need of training in customer satisfaction and project scheduling and communication. Unfortunately, these are key indicators of ownership that does not invest in the company or resources. They may have a new building, but this business is bottom of the barrell in all other aspects. read more

Poor customer service. Do not keep customers "in the loop" when bike is being serviced. First I was told work would take 2 days...then 5... after 8 days I went there and they had still not ordered my parts. You are better off taking your bike to HYR in Redlands or Chaparral Motorsports. Most of their "for sale" bikes have rust and are cared for poorly and are over priced. read more

I have yet to try the service department but will soon. I would recommend going in knowing what you want and having a number you want to pay. Also know your product. I like to keep business local whenever I can. I try to buy my toys here instead of going to Chaparral. Went in to look at a Polaris Slingshot and a Polaris Gem. Was ready to buy. Two sales guys were horsing around. Another one was playing on his phone. I had a few questions but it didn't seem like these guys were interested in trying to sale anything. After 10 minutes I left. Called in the next day to see if I could get answers to my questions. After being left on hold for 10 minutes I hung up and called back. Another 5 minutes and I finally got a sales guy named Steve. He had an attitude and got a sarcastic tone with me. Very rude. Basically a jerk. That was it. I won't buy stuff there anymore. I guess I will have to take my business out of town. read more

Was seeking to purchase a newer Yamaha Wolverine and came across a 2019 X4 at this dealer. Pics were good however no closeups. After corresponding with a sales manager who told me it was a clean title trade in, etc., I decided to pull the trigger and have it delivered here in California's central valley. Before the car arrived I was promised the delivery person would be able to give me an overview, etc. But the guy who delivered it didn't have a clue about anything on the car. After giving the guy 10k cash he took off without leaving an invoice or DMV paperwork. After contacting the dealer repeatedly I was told it was in the mail. Invoice arrived however no DMV paperwork. A few weeks later they sent me a picture of the DMV report of sale. Name was misspelled, address misspelled, etc. They were in possession of ALL correct information but somehow managed to botch the most important part of the transaction. I was told to "wait for the title" then they would fix it. After another few weeks I went down to AAA and was told the DMV didn't have any paperwork processing for this sale and it was still in the previous owners name...with a lienholder! On another note, once the car arrived it was obvious why there were no closeups. The undercarriage, suspension, etc. was completely covered with a muddy, rusty film. I disassembled much of the car to expose the engine and it too had the same condition. It seems obvious now the car had been swamped. I spent hours pressure washing and cleaning every inch of the car but there are still areas that cannot be reached without major disassembly/reassembly. To date no title or registration, hours spent on cleaning/reconditioning undercarriage, etc. BEWARE! read more

Mike sent me several pictures and took a lot of time explaining to me about a new sport I am getting into. It was worth the drive because of the education I got on these vehicles. I frequent this business regularly for lubricants and other motorcycle accessories and the staff is always courteous and professional. It's nice to have a cycle shop in town, saves a long trip to Chaparral. I've never purchased a bike from this place but let's face it, salesmen are salesmen. It's no different than any other dealership. Offer them a price, see if they take it or meet in the middle. They don't like your offer? Walk away. It's that simple.
