At 36k miles, service dept. overfilled my transmission by 6 quarts in my pristine F250 Lariat. A huge mess and the underside is all trans spray. My garage floor soaked. Smoke poured out from under the hood and out the back. I'm sure someone got a big laugh out of it. Maybe because I complained about my other car which sat on their lot, unlocked for a week, which they completely forgot about. I have bought two cars from this dealership and the GM is too big of a wuss to call me back. Another Ford dealer diagnosed and fixed the problem and YVF did agree to pay for it. We've given Yucca Valley Ford service multiple chances to get it right but they can't seem to meet reasonable expectations of what a service department should be. read more

Yucca Valley Ford Service continues to "Wow!" me. I stopped by this morning to ask Justin, the Assistant Service Manager, to check my tires to see it is time to replace them. We have been monitoring them for the past 6 months. Safety is always high on my list of priorities. There is still several thousand miles left on them, which takes me up to about 40k of mileage on this set of tires. Good choice, Justin! We looked at replacement tires, and Justin found some Pirelli's with 90k miles for a price that is almost free. Well, not quite free, but closer and it would be horseshoes and cigars. Galo, my best mechanic, came out and checked my oil - looks like new, with 6k miles of driving. There was green gunk on my battery post, so Justin asked Galo to drive my car in and take care of it. I bought my very first car here March 2009 when I was serving in the United States Marine Corps in Twentynine Palms, California. I was able to haggle the price down for a 2005 Ford Focus from $9,999.99 to $8,500.00 and the process was quick and easy. Despite the fact I still was trying to build my credit, I was able to get a fair loan through Ford Credit. Well, it's 2012 and my car is running fine, and haven't had any repair work done on the vehicle (excluding battery, oil and brakes) and it's almost paid off. The folks here, at least in 2009, were fair and good to do business with. You'll be happy. The only negative is that it's a fairly small lot, with not a large selection of vehicles. But you'll be assured that you won't get screwed over or buy a lemon like some of the mom n' pop lots. I really felt Ford had my back, and I intend to continue buying Ford largely because of my young, naive, first car buying experience. read more

My experience with YVF started with finding a truck I wanted to buy and clicking on the "Get E-Price" button. This does not give you any special pricing it literally tells you the price which is already displayed. It just gets your contact information. I get an email from the internet sales manager Chris stating it was still available. I told him I would be up in the afternoon to look at it. I drive almost an hour to get there after taking a few hours off of work. I get there and I don't see it in the lot. I introduce myself to Chris and he proceeds to tell me they let somoeone borrow the truck. He walked to the dealer next door to see when it would be back. He then came back and told me it would be back in several hours. Wasted my time. I find Chris's actions to be very unprofessional. Obviously not a dealer I want to give my business to. read more

My truck blew a water hose 40 miles east of Twentynine Palms on highway 62. After sitting out in the desert for 3 hours in temperatures around 118 degrees I was towed to Yucca Valley Ford, but their service department was closed . I decided to sleep in my truck and be the first guy in line the next day. That morning I was told by the service manager he couldn't work on my truck for 3 or 4 days. He suggested I could go to a hotel and wait around until they could work on my truck. I told him I was 200 miles from home and it was an emergency. He said there was nothing he could do for me. I called the towing company and they took me down the road to Ron's Automotive who was very busy, but they squeezed me in an fixed my truck in an hour and a half. They were outstanding. I recommend Ron's for your repairs. They have a little better customer service. ' read more

So while getting our oil changed on our 2012 Ford Focus at a small little mechanic practically across the street from the Ford dealership, we found out a week later that the numbskulls working there forgot to put the screws on the stone guard back in and while driving over a bump in the road, discovered our stone guard had been bent backwards and tore out the rest of the screws still remaining, hanging by mere plastic pieces. We found this out 3 hours away from home, in the middle of nowhere, on a 115 degree day. Had to drive 10 miles to a spanish-speaking only gas station with people pointing at the bottom of our car and wincing at the horrible grinding/screeching noise of metal and plastic rubbing against the asphalt. We tried duct taping the shield back up under the engine to no avail and ended up driving to a Riley's auto center and had a very nice guy bunjee cord it together. Now, here's where Ford comes into the picture. My husband called them up on the phone and explained our situation. Nobody seemed to know what the heck we were talking about. Stone guard? Splash guard? Cars don't have those! You must mean the grill, right? No, you morons. After being transferred to 4 different departments, somebody FINALLY knew what a stone guard was and said he'd order the part...for $90!!! $90 for a 2 pound hunk of plastic that protects the underside of your engine from rocks and water. We did a quick search after reluctantly agreeing to the price and found it listed on many sites for, dingding, $19.99. But I figured $90 and having someone else get dirty under the car was sort of worth it and we cut our losses. 1 week later they had us come in and after sitting in the waiting room for 2 hours, and watching one person glance at the underside of our car the entire time it was in the garage, we were finally notified that "Oops, sorry! It looks like you're missing the special sized screws we need to put the new piece on. That'll be about another $40 or so and will take 1-3 business days to get here." So what you're telling me is we've already paid $130 to have someone glance at our car, waste our time, and that's not even including labor?? On top of which, I was pissed that no one seemed to remember us saying it was being held on by 2 screws in the first place. It's not like we drove around and collected the ones that fell off and had them in our pockets. At that point I said screw it, we'll put it on ourselves, and walked out. To this day we still have bunjee cords holding what's left of our stone guard up, and let me tell you...it works like a charm. read more

Went in today to pick up my F250. It has been with the automotive derive department for over a week. Paid $2,300. 00 in repairs. Received a call on Friday 2/19/16 truck was ready. To my delight it was not parts of the dash board were still on the floor. The service department corrected the problem. Started the vehicle and noticed check engine light was still on proceeded to go back in and speak to service specialist and he was on the phone. Patiently waited and notified him the check engine light was still on. Response I can't do nothing till Monday. I'm a little confused as to their statement your vehicle is ready and I have dashboard parts check engine light still on and their nothing we can do till Monday. $2,300.00 well spent ?? read more

Went in the day before Thanksgiving for a scheduled repair, supposedly an 8am appt for a wheel bearing issue At 9am tired of watching the service dept employees stand around and not work on my car I spoke up I was informed a few minutes later they did not have the tools to repair the issue they scheduled the appt to fix Called this morning to follow up (12/7) see if they had to tools yet Low and behold no one there knows what I am taking about and the only person who would possibly know is coincidentally off today I am done, seriously considering selling my Ford there is only so much a customer can be expected to deal with, too many years of this poorly ran service dept, this was possibly the last straw for me 12/8 To retaliate for this review it will now take two or three days to fix my car with no offer of a loaner or rental. When asked about a loaner or a rental it was yet another "we will get back to you" DISGUSTING! 12/9 Due to my reviews they now refuse to work on my car at all rather than just man up and fix the issue. Everything will now be sent to Mark Fields so he knows, with pictures, in writing, how his company is being represented. 12/16 Disorganized, mismanaged, even moronic all words I would not argue with during descriptions of Yucca Valley Ford Flat out fraud I didnt believe until my husband and I were taken back into the service bay at different Ford service center today to show us there is nothing wrong with my Escape, no repair needed. I was shocked, I am still shocked. They put the tires back on, washed it for us, and sent us on our way. I took my 2005 F150 in to have the rearend looked at because it was shuddering and being just plain annoying. Justin in the Service Dept took very good care of us. He called us frequently to keep us updated on what they were doing and always ask if we wanted them to do a repair or not. He could have charged us for doing repairs that didn't need to be done but didn't. A lot of "stealerships" will throw money at it and replace everything trying to repair something but Yucca Valley Ford didn't. I highly recommend them. read more
