I'll consider this a partial review because I'd already had dinner so I only got to try the cucumber jalapeño margarita and the chile relleno + a few bites of others dishes. BUT from what I had it was full of flavor and honestly comparable in price to most sit down Mexican food places in town. As an add on bonus, you get the gorgeous and clean interior with great service. It reminds me of a restaurant you'd eat at on the coast of Mexico, that beachy natural interior with modern lines. Will be back for more!

Beautiful restaurant. The staff was so friendly! Chips and ultra fresh guacamole was very good! Ratings. Quesabirrias. 5/5 Steak tacos. 4.8/5 Seafood Chimichanga. 4/5 Beans. 3.5/5 Rice. 4.5/5 Queso. 4/5 (very rich) Guacamole. 4/5 Service. 5/5 The Seafood Chimichanga had mini scallops, shrimp and thinly sliced calamari. Great experience. Plenty of parking.

What can I say about Coyol. CDA is lucky to have this authentic Mexican restaurant gem. Upon entering I was greeted and seated right away. The aromas in the restaurant and the plates coming out the kitchen were all amazing. I had the parrillada for one but it was enough for at least two people. They definitely weren't shy with the portions. It was delicious but under seasoned for my liking. I also had the pork belly bites and OMG this app definitely hit the spot. Coyol will be a top mexican restaurant in CDA while the wait times are short. I will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu.

We couldn't wait to come back! This time I ordered the pork belly tacos and the chile relleno--both were absolutely incredible. They were, without a doubt, the best pork belly tacos I've ever had, and the chile relleno was just as amazing. We'll definitely be back!

Went here with friends for first time. Reviews a bit on the high side for what we experienced. However very decent. The chips were very good and white salsa very interesting and tasted good. The red salsa not enough spice IMO. We were told the guacamole appetizer was fantastic but found it average. I had the steak fajitas . Large potion of meat but yet again not the most flavorful. Also needed to be served hotter. Sizzling platter is real way to go.The rice and beans meh. My wife had a shredded beef taco and chili rellano. Taco average and chile rellano was excellent. The winner in the group was the ribeye tacos. Very tasty and looked amazing. As far as drinks all very good. Had a glass of wine , Modelo draft, jack Daniel's and water over and the outstanding thing was the margarita. My wife disappeared they don't serve margaritas blended. I consider myself as an honest reviewer dining frequently at Mexican cuisine. This atmosphere and design is very nice but a little less volume on the background music would be better. I know the restaurant is new and please take this as positive criticism. I rate it at 3 1/2 but give it a four as server was great and very attetive.

Amazing Service! We had little to no wait time both times we've been there! Food was so fresh and phenomenal! I loved the mucho nachos appetizer! I had the Tradicion Coyol and the asador carne asada. The traditional Coyol didn't really have a sauce which I was thinking it would, it's diced poblanos and cheese which was still full of flavor and great! The asador carne asada was great but doesn't come cut up which would be easier to eat but all still very delicious and great fresh flavors! The service was very attentive and fantastic! Food came out very quickly which is great when you have a starving husband and little mouths to feed!!

Wow! Just the kind of Mexican restaurant CDA needed! The space itself is super cute, and the food and drinks are delicious! I wish I took photos of our food. We waited less than our wait time and the food came out super fast. Definitely will be coming back.

I've been driving past this place ever since it opened not long ago and we finally decided to give it a shot. Wow! This place is a GEM in plain sight here in CDA. The atmosphere is fresh and fun! The service is as friendly as it gets and the food is SOOO good! This is definitely going to be a new favorite for me and anyone who is looking for food that's not just an American imitation of something much much better!

We were greeted and immediately taken to a cute booth with beautiful scenery painted on the table and hand painted flowers on the back of the booths. It was nicely bright and a welcoming atmosphere. Our server, Billie, took our drink order, dropped off warm chips and 2 salsas: hot and mild, and gave us time to look over the menu. Both salsas were tasty and of course, I preferred the spicy one. Also it just hit better with the warm homemade tortilla chips. I went with my fav drink of Horchata and liked how they noted 1 refill. The horchata was ice cold and delicious--it didn't have that waxy taste like some horchatas I've had before. I ordered the #33 Spicy Shrimp with Rice and Beans and my roommate got the daily special of 1 Enchilada and 1 Taco with Rice and Beans and with a cup of chicken tortilla soup. My roommate LOVED the soup and said it was chunks of chicken vs shredded chicken. He really liked the flavor and plans to get it again. Our plates arrived super hot, which I'm a fan of--I'd rather wait for my food to cool down some vs your first bite being luke-warm. The shrimp wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be, and that's partially my fault because I should have asked about the spice level. I like and can handle a lot of heat lol. Nonetheless, the shrimp had great flavor and the guacamole was bright and fresh and so good. The hot corn tortillas with the HOT rice and beans just paired so well together. My roommate tends to get the same plate, just at different restaurants. He said his combo plate was a winner and really liked the season on the rice. Billie did a fabulous job taking care of us today and we'll definitely be back.

It's not like in Los Angeles where you can't walk 1 mile down the street without tripping over a taco truck. That being said, I think the Mexican Food Factory (MFF) could hold it's own even in SoCal. Here are some reasons to try it; 1. Fresh ingredients. Especially the taco sauce. It tastes like it is made that morning. Seasoned but not overwhelmed with habanero or something. Delicious. Meats are not oily but still very tender and juicy. Ground beef is even juicy and tender. Did I mention the fresh taco sauce? 2. Cooking style. It's fast and made to order. Wait is short but realistic considering they are making your order as it comes in. Nothing prepared and sitting under a heat lamp ahead of time. They even toast the soft tortillas which is a huge flavor enhancer. They don't have gourmet ceviche or swordfish tacos but if you like distinct and discernable flavors in your meals it works here. 3. Small shop vibe. Cinderblock style place with an eating area outside at least as big as inside. Bright murals painted upon it. It's next to a road but traffic is slow and not too noisy. Clean as can be. Same employees in the kitchen for many months. 4. Value. If you shop around and are honest with yourself, I think you will agree that prices are not nice to us now. I don't know where else to find the quality of ingredients, speed of service, and no drama atmosphere at these prices. The daily specials are the way to try a lot of different things over time with a cost savings. Taco Tuesday crunch-fest awaits. Improvement? Yes of course. Open on the weekend please. In the name of all things Holy. We need our after church enchiladas. Also small size street tacos are needed. Radish, lime, cilantro, cotija crumbled on Lengua on a 4 inch soft tortilla. I'll take 6 of those to go down to the lake for a nice lunch. Por favor.
