Cool little spot here in downtown Pickens. Thoughtful modernistic design and the cornhole boards with turf outside make it an approachable spot for many different walks of life. I had a standard oat milk iced latte that was very good & my fiancé had the same flavored with the "Gnarly Surfer" combo. Delicious all around. Friendly and prompt service. Will return here on our next trip to the foothills! FYI - Great stop if you're on the way to any of the parks in the surrounding northern areas. (Keowee-Toxaway, Table Rock, etc.) read more

Service was horrible tonight around 6. not used to this type of service here! it was very dirty in the store. which is not normal. mind you that no one else was in the store nor the drive through. One of the girls keep joking around with this boy that was in the store not taking my order. the other girl was just hanging around out back. and my ham egg and cheese croissant was cold. Came in on a rainy day 07/29/2025 and I was greeted by the sweetest barista, I am sure her name was Aubrey or Audrey. She had a big smile. She's always kind and, hands down, the standout at this store. Every time I come in and see her, my day gets brighter because I know my coffee will be perfect, and from our conversations, it's clear she's strong in her faith, which makes her even more special. She made my spiced chai with so much care it was warm, cozy, and exactly what I needed. Meanwhile, the other girl just stood on her phone, but Aubrey or Audrey completely carried the experience with her kindness and great service. Coyote is lucky to have her. read more

Love this adorable coffee shop! I recently had the Harvest Delight (with cinnamon and caramel) from their fall menu and it was delicious! I love their raspberry white chocolate muffins and chicken salad in a jalapeño cheddar wrap. I also love the locally made items they carry. I'm riding a bike to every coffee shop in America, so parts of my review will reflect that perspective! Firstly, it is on the downtown strip which as a bicyclist is my favorite kind of coffee stop. Easy to bike to and I enjoy looking around at old buildings and looking for murals It has outdoor seating, which is also a plus, as I like to be outdoors as much as possible and watch the world go by. The server was neither unfriendly or friendly. I do prefer the talkative types as a big part of the reason I hit local coffee shops is for the possibility of conversation. Their pesto breakfast sandwich was SOO GOOD! Unfortunately their matcha tea latte was not what I'm used to. It tasted fine but way too much water and no sugar/sweetener at all. If that's what you're into then it's great! But they should let you know it comes like that. I'm used to a creamier matcha and there was just more water than milk in mine then I would've like. We visited the Pickens location today, and while the coffee was the same as the 2 other locations we've visited, I much prefer the atmosphere at this location. The architecture and interior design of the shop are remnant of a simpler time. This location also seems to have a much wider array of items for sale. The place is super cute. I loved the atmosphere. We got three sandwiches and they were okay. The lettuce was old and rotten (had to take it out). We also had some fruit and it was molded. This has been my hangout spot lately. The coffee is always great, the music is awesome, the vibe is comfy. I'm able to chill here while reading a book. I cannot speak for the food beyond a couple of pastries that I've had (they were very yummy). However, I hope to try out breakfast or lunch soon. The coffee is much much more flavorful than their commercialized giant counterparts (Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts) so you cannot go wrong. If coffee isn't your thing, they also have smoothies available. Oh, and Biltmore wines :). Also, there is usually live music on the weekends. Pickens is starting to make its footprint in the Upstate with Coyote Coffee in the area so definitely stop by! read more

My wife and I went in to have a bite to eat and get a coffee. The bad time started with no menu at the table. When we ordered it was kind of odd that they didn't have an area where we could add our own stuff to our coffee such as real creamer and we enjoy honey with our coffee which they had to added at the counter. Kind of odd that they are so close to a major honey store in the area. When the food came the waitress asked if there was anything else I needed and I said napkins which she pointed up to the counter and said they are up there. Not what I expected when asked if I needed something elMy wife got the Blue Ridge Croissant but wanted it on an English muffin. The disappointing part was that it turned out to be half the size of what she would have got and she was not told about this. This would have been fine if the price was reduced some, but when we asked about this the manager said she can't do that because the owner would be upset. Well I guess they think the owner would rather have a bad review than a happy customer. This is a place that is now taken off my list to visit. Update: the owner did reach out to me to make things right with us. However I have not had a chance to visit the location again to see how things are now. I very much appreciate the effort that was made after our visit and hope this makes people reading this review aware they are like any business in which they have some issues but better that they work to make things right with their customers. read more

We've driven by this charming coffee shop several times on our way to Keowee Key and finally stopped. I had a chicken salad wrap which was good. The cashier recommended grape salad which consisted of grapes in a sweet cream cheese mixture. Yummy! My husband had a protein shake and would order again. We ended up stopping again the next day for an afternoon coffee. So much variety in the menu, we couldn't help but return. This is likely a spot we will visit often. read more
