The young long haired kid in the back drive thru windows brain was not on this planet. We told him our order at the speaker, then told him 3 times our order to his face at the window and this kid still got our order wrong. Put your A's in their places!!!! Then no shocker here, live 4 mins away, get home cold undercooked fries hardly any in them, along with the wrong size, they gave larger container with less in them, the cheeseburger we did get was way over QA holding standards. This is the worst McD I've ever experienced in SC. The employees are constantly behind, screwing up orders, and the drive-thru lines are massive. I blame the owners, who clearly don't care. They do, however, enjoy showing you their fancy party pictures (from some corporate shindig) on a homemade poster in the lobby while you wait 25 minutes for a deluxe quarter pounder that has no tomatoes, WAYYY too much mayo and a patty that actually is not inside the bun. That's right...the bun was on top of the patty. Strike three. You're out, Pickens McD. Shame on ownership. read more

I would give it zero stars if could! Everytime we go, they either mess up or forget about our order. It's just a bunch of teenagers working there and don't care about the customers. The inside of the store is filthy and smells too. The food isn't good and usually it's not what we ordered. We just waited in line for 20 minutes waiting on a happy meal and they said that they never saw it. So tons of people behind us got their food before us. Good food, okay service (they are short staffed sometimes), and decent drive thru times. They will be happy to assist you if you have any issues, and their employees are pretty friendly too. Recently My order was 30 minutes late, and they threw in a 20 piece for my troubles. As always, I cant recommend eating inside in a fast food restaurant, but other than that, this place is super consistent. read more

McDonald's on Main Street in Pickens is a quality McDonald's location that does everything that you want in a Mcdonald's and more. The food here is very efficiently and prepared and delicious. I especially like the fries here. The staff here is very friendly and makes you feel welcome and taken care of. This is a solid McDonald's location. read more

They park people without any drive through parking to keep their drive through time going when they have poor lack of service period people are trying to hard in the wrong areas not to mention their lobby was empty as I walked in to wait for my food because I had to park in the middle of the parking lot read more

At 10:35 pm I pulled into the drive thru line joining 3 other cars. Others continued to join the line behind me. After 10 min the car in front of me pulled around to the pick up window. I waited for anither 10 min at the order menu before someone finally responded and said "Im sorry we closed early.".......after I had been waiting for at least 20 min and at least 9 other cars behind me in line......this is what I was told. It is bad enough that they closed early with customers waiting but then to let us wait 20 min before telling us is crazy! read more

Stopped by to pick up a quick bite for me and my son. We ordered 3 cheeseburgers, a McRib meal, a Dr Pepper and then added 2 mocha fraps when we got to the window. First off, the lady at the pay window was very friendly and helpful. We were actually wanting to add 2 chocolate shakes but the new machine hadn't arrived. Maybe this is the latest excuse instead of the machine being broken; however that's a story for another time. She offered up the mocha fraps as a great alternative to the chocolate shakes. Great, my son and his friend were happy with that. We received our food at the next window and left, sans Dr Pepper because apparently they didn't hear that part of the order. My son ate his burgers on the road and I waited until I got home to eat the messy deliciousness of the McRib. Imagine my surprise when I open the box and see a mystery meat patty covered in bbq sauce on sitting on a HAMBURGER bun. Not the usual bun that covers the length of the patty. I have to wonder if this was a joke, a mistake or they were out of the regular McRib buns. If they were out, why not mention that when the order was placed? Maybe give you the option to change your order. They don't mind telling you the ice cream machine is broken or hasn't come in. Maybe since it's the drive thru they don't worry about screwing up the order because you're less likely to see it until you get home and at that point it's too late. I'm possibly being a tad too harsh on McDonald's because I'm seeing simple mistakes happening repeatedly at fast food restaurants lately. Unfortunately I eat entirely too much fast food and I literally have not received an order from any of them lately that didn't have some sort of issue. I'm not someone who complains (seriously, I'm not because I don't like bothering people and just walk away) but it's gotten ridiculous. I try to point at the good and leave positive reviews. Started by waiting over 20 minutes for an egg mcmuffin! They voluntarily offered a free meal next time because of the wait. I took 2 bites and there were shells all in the egg. I couldnt eat it. I dug for my chicken sandwich and it was wrong. We were missing an entire combo except the drink and 2 large fries and my food was wrong. I took the sandwich back FIVE TIMES! The SIXTH sandwich I got back was STILL wrong. When I opened it, SOMEONE HAD BITTEN THE CHEESE!!!!!! I AM LIVID MY CHILDREN ATE PART OF THEIR FOOD!!!! I complained and a worker yelled at me and then yelled at the manager. A different manager, Candice, took me to the "waiting window" and tried to beg me multiple times to remake my food. I continued to say "no way are we eating anything out that kitchen! They're biting our food!" Which it was taking so long so we decided to go to the drive through and when we did they told us that they closed at 7:30 when they weren't supposed to close till 11:00. When we asked how to get a refund they told us to look up a 1-800 number which was closed. So we called the place again and tried to talk to the employee and we got hung up on. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. For starters I came to pick up breakfast 2 McGriddles, vanilla latte, and a strawberry pie. I paid for my food at 8:50 my food and two others food did not come out until 9:30. That is not fast food. I come again at lunch for a sweet tea, I called and they brought the tea right out. Great! I came again at dinnertime for a frappe waited forever again, called twice and the lady answered but was so unfriendly with an attitude. I know it's fast food, but the attitude was unnecessary when I was being very respectful and friendly. We finally got our drink and I asked to see a manager, the teenage boy WHO WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ON BREAK (which will be reported to Emily Farr, Director, Department of Labor) sent another frappe, they BOTH had pepper in them and were thrown away. Time is priceless and you can't get it back. My solution to this problem is to designate a person to making, bagging, and handing out food specifically for curbside pick up. I literally find a hair in my food everytime I eat here. If there wasn't hair in my food everytime I would say the food was pretty decent.

I've been here many times and had good service/food. However, it doesn't stay consistent. Food is very slow to come out, EVERYTIME I order a quarter pounder, I have to drive around the side. I've had uncooked burgers from the pothead night crew, I've sat at the side for over 15 mins for them to tell me that they forgot about my order completely and then gave me the wrong order once done.
