Save your money and eat somewhere else!! We ordered the "large" chicken fried steak meal & chicken alfredo. Chicken alfredo was very small portion for the price. Originally, the chicken fried steak we received was large, but when we received COLD mashed potatoes, our plate was taken away and when the plate returned, the steak was half the size it was when they took it. Our potatoes were cold for the second time. So the chef came out and said they just got off the steamer, suggesting that we were lying. So he said he was going to personally check the temperature of them to show us, and he never came back to our table. My husband then forced himself to eat cold potatoes as we were not accommodated to. We requested to speak to a manager to adjust our bill since mashed potatoes were an upcharge, but even the manager said there was nothing he could do for us since my husband had ate the potatoes. I guess we should have waited for the chef to come back and let the rest of the food get cold to get a bill credit.. but he never returned, so maybe we should have just sat there? Who knows. NOPE,NEVER!!! I always use yelp when I wanna try something. And when I had a not so good experience, I will just let it pass. But this is extreme!!! We came here for a birthday dinner just because we're having a vacation in Sequoia, and this was the closest to our hotel that was still open. Fast forward, the waiter took a LONG time to get our order, but thats OK. And when finally our waiter came to ask for our order, I requested for a birthday cake and the waiter said Yes, he'll do that. Then, the FOOD takes FOREVER!!! I am not exaggerating, but my hubby was already pissed. Since we're having a vacation, we're still trying stay calm and enjoy the moment. Good diner food. It's not amazing nor is it bad but the four stars are definitely for that 50/50 dish. Pancake, bacon, sausage, and an egg for $5! I can never order a full stack of pancakes because I'll never finish it. And this dish gives a taste of all the main breakfast items I crave, one piece of each item, and all for $5. Can't beat that. The pancake was golden brown and fluffy. Bacon could have been crispier but the waitress was kind enough to take it back and crisp it up. Egg was cooked perfectly to medium. Sausage was hearty. Too bad all diners can't whip up a deal like this on their menu. They don't have a huge breakfast menu, but I can't say I didn't enjoy my meal. read more

Someone told me that this was an award winning eatery - I would agree with this, we enjoyed our food quite a bit. Service was passable, nothing outstanding, especially the unsmiling hostesses up front. However, this place can get a little nutty-busy and it may not be the easiest job. It can get very lined up. It is very family friendly so even until the kitchen closes at 10pm, you may be surrounded by screaming/crying kids until 11pm-12am. DO however come for the steak if you like a good cut. We ordered the blackened sirloin with shrimp and it was the best steak I have had since eating at a high end steak house in Vegas. At a fraction of the cost. The cut was so good, it was more of a filet than a sirloin. Zero fat. Cooked exactly rare to order. Melt in your mouth goodness. The shrimp on the skewer were very good too. The seasonal veg were zucchini and carrots which were still firm and seasoned wonderfully but cold. The baked potato was massive and we took that whole thing home with us! There is also a Pan Asian menu for this eatery. I could have ordered anything from there and would have been happy. We settled on the recommended Spicy Thai Noodles (wheat noodles, yay!) with chicken for $9 and I would also recommend this dish. The Serrano peppers gave it a nice kick. Next time I will try the Pad Thai. The restaurant kind of juts out into the casino walkway to the hotel. All the cigarette smoke while eating is not appetizing at all. The live music that they bring in on weekends across the way outside was overly loud and unfortunately, not very good. The acoustics were so bad that it was hard to ignore. Food taste/quality quality itself, wait time for food and pricing - 5 stars but I am giving 3.5 for overall experience. Would certainly come back if in the area. Choices at at the casino/hotel are very limited unless you happen to be a buffet person or like hot dogs and Pizza Hut. read more

Our table waited for half an hour to get a refill to which our waitress never came back until she came to pick up the bill. They need to work on their service and pay attention to the orders. First time eating here we came before a show to enjoy dinner. We got sat right away but that was about it. I ordered ginger grilled chicken with asparagus, and wanted to substitute the rice with mashed potato but sever indicate he would check and then brought my meal out with rice and said they said no. I ordered 2 kids pizza meals and my husband's and my food came out before my kids meals... I mean we ate both of our entire meals before the pizzas came out! I had to get up and go to the front and ask someone where the pizzas were. The sever never came back to check on how our meals or to refill our drinks and never even acknowledge that the pizzas came out soooo late. Food was basic food and pizzas were pizza huts personal size pizzas. My kids did get there fries out so at least they had something to eat while watching my husband and me eat. We have never been disappointed with the service and quality and quantity of food. This past Friday we were served by bubbly, super attentive Karla. We ordered our favorite dishes -- spinach artichoke dip and a wedge salad. I had the lobster and shrimp pasta with rose cream sauce. The lobster is cooked perfectly and the sauce is smooth and lighter than an Alfredo sauce. My husband had the Salmon with sautéed spinach. Large perfectly cooked and seasoned salmon -- delicious. We ordered dishes that we have in the past because we know that we like them. The wait staff was not attentive. The food has seriously gone downhill. I ordered the artichoke dip, as I have enjoyed for a few years. My husband ordered Beef Ribs & Risotto. The Dip was served with chips instead of the bread that used to accompany the dish. It was luke warm and completely lacked flavor. My husband's dish was barely warm. The meat was mainly fat and tougher than usual. I am extremely disappointed. I've been here multiple times none of which I've yelped in the past. This place is pretty great. The candle light and dimmed lights add a soft and relaxing touch to your meal. They have really good sushi rolls, asada fries, onion rings, French dips and chicken strips. The servers are fairly quick and polite! I'll always come back! Horrible "sushi"....The rice was a lump of garbage that tasted like it was several days old with zero flavor! The service was beyond slow and they didn't bring ramekins, plates or even water. They have only two tables that will sit a party more than 4 and they'll make you wait 20 minutes plus while the rest of the restaurant is empty. People leave from the line before they get seated. Lost business, lost revenues. As I sit here there are endless clumps of wait staff huddled together instead of taking care of customers. Fixing this place has to start with firing the manager. THAT PERSON IS COSTING YOU MONEY. The next issue is the general cleanliness of the place. The decor is old and tired. Tables sat forever without getting cleared. As a previous reviewer noted, the flies are ridiculous. The health department might want to consider an inspection. After such a long wait, I'm sure you'd like to know how the food is. If it's true that the "eyes eat first" then be prepared to starve. Everything seems to come in one color: Brown. How does ranchero sauce come out brown anyways? Most of the food had to come out of a pre made warming tray. But if that's the case why did it take so long to get our food? The chorizo and eggs were covered in clumpy cheese. The huevos rancheros were smothered in brown sauce. If the buttermilk pancakes had buttermilk in them, I couldn't taste it. The best thing we had was the toast. Unfortunately at Tachi you're captive. There's no other choices for breakfast. If they'd up the quality and service I would be happy to pay a few bucks more to cover the difference. The flies were terrible I don't get it it's winter time not freaking summer. This open space dining helps with throngs of people around and the constant flow of diners hoping to get a civilized dining experience while in a California style casino. Food preparation was competent with portions suitable for the price. I didn't expect upscale food, nothing like the average Las Vegas strip casinos, but if that's what you are after, this place is not it. Considering the minimal options of eateries that serves decent food past 10 pm within a 10 mile radius, that is reasonably priced, I'd give this an additional star because it compares better than there are elsewhere out there.
