I got the Menudo ($14.99) for myself, my wife wanted the Bacon & Ham Breakfast Burrito ($12.99), and my son went with the Asada Breakfast Burrito ($12.99). The portions here are big, the flavor is solid, and the red salsa is always on point. I like it so much I'll occasionally take a 16oz container home ($7.59) just to use around the house. This place has been consistent--good food, plenty to eat, and that salsa alone keeps me coming back. read more

I've always liked the flavor of Panchitosa Taqueria's burritos -- they really do taste great. However, over the past year, the portions have gotten extremely small. Burritos are now maybe 60% of the size they used to be, yet prices have jumped to around $14 each. What's worse, they've started charging an extra $1 for a tiny, half-filled 1 oz cup of salsa -- one of the cheapest items to make. It honestly feels like they're cutting corners and nickel-and-diming their customers, which is disappointing considering how good the food used to be. read more

Hidden inside chevron, is a quaint little Mexican restaurant with tables, walked in to a very clean little dining area. Kitchen A very clean and well cared for the Kitchen as well as the floors. Food I purchased the chilli verde burrito with rice beans and of course chilli Verde. One bite and I was hooked. The pork was very moist with every bite, absolutely no fat or greasy taste at all, I was bedside myself I really thought the meat would be a slimy, greasy and of course full of fat, but my mouth was in ooh and I finished the whole thing. They use only 100% white meat without all the fat and of course not a drop of grease. The verda sauce tasted very fresh made that day. The rice and beans were also fresh again made that day. In the 26 years of my life I have never considered leaving a review until today. And don't get me wrong, the food is great. When I put in an order for pickup on DoorDash, I arrived and told the register that I have a pickup under my name. Afterwards I was given an order with one burrito, which was confusing to me because I had ordered two burritos. She then said that I hadn't ordered a second burrito and if I wanted a second burrito I would need to place a second order (not a big deal, I'll just wait). While waiting, I double verified my order on DoorDash and saw that I had indeed place my order in correctly and already paid for it. When I showed the register this, she was upset because I did not specify that it was a DoorDash order (even though I had given her my name which was attached to the order). Afterwards she asked for the bag of food she had already given me and said that she thought I was a different pickup and said that she'll need to talk to her boss about getting me a refund (which would be preferable because I do not need 4 massive burritos). After she talked to her boss she was told according to her, word from her boss, "If it was your fault then give him the and his 2 burritos and a refund if it was his fault have him pay the full amount for the 4 burritos". And she said "so here's your 4 burritos". Yeah I'm pretty upset about this, if she just verified the pickup order, I wouldn't be paying 32 extra dollars for unneeded food. read more

With the World Surfing Championships coming to Lemoore, California at Kelly Slater's Surf Ranch in September, I wanted to spotlight a few restaurants that travelers to the small town may want to check out. One of the things I noticed during the WSL Founders' Cup at the Kelly Slater's Surf Ranch is that people would often return back to their cars (being shuttled by bus) to the West Hills College area, which is devoid of any restaurants or anything for tourists to stop by. As mentioned in my blog post back in May, the food trucks were not enough to cover the large turnout and so people ended up shuttling back to their vehicles in hopes to look for restaurants. I noticed numerous people who didn't want to drive away (possibly worried they may lose their parking space) and walked nearly a mile to get to the nearest gas station, which a Subway/7-Eleven is close by, an AM/PM is being built, but the closest is a Chevron gas station where Panchito's Taqueria is located. Up-and-down the state of California, you'll often find mom and pop taqueria's inside a gas station. Yes, there are still many gas stations that serve their own food, contract with a sandwich shop company that delivers to the location daily or a major chain restaurant inside. But Taquerias are numerous and one of our favorites that we have tried was Fast N Fresh Mexican Grill in Sylmar, California. I have never tried Panchito's Taqueria and to be truthful, I've never went to this gas station before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. As you would expect from a gas station that has a lot of items for people to purchase and the usual drink station, to the far left of the room is Panchito's Taqueria. They had around 4-5 small tables which were full of people when I got there and they had a few people in line, so the location seems to work out as people were there to order Mexican food. And an added benefit since it's near HWY 41, for people going to work, the location opens at 4:30 a.m. on the weekdays and 5:00/5:30 p.m. during the weekend. The breakfast burritos were no doubt one of the cheapest in the area at $6.42. You can order machaca (rehydrated dry meat), bacon, ham, chorizo, steak, linguica, sausage and a veggie breakfast burrito which comes with beans, potatoes, egg, cheese and salsa. They also serve made to order foods such as tacos, burritos, tortas, quesadillas and more. And also combo plates and fried foods. It was in the morning and we decided we wanted to try the breakfast burritos. For $6.42, you get a good-sized, breakfast burrito that is filling. It's important to note that if you want a side of salsa, Panchito's Taqueria charges extra for it (which I know many other places give it as courtesy for their business, but considering the burritos are inexpensive, that's how it is). My chorizo breakfast burrito was interesting because typically, it's more of a dry type of burrito, whereas this had salsa mixed in. So, it does get a little messy. But it was good. I like the thick cut potatoes that Panchito's Taqueria uses. Whereas Angela chose a sausage breakfast burrito with no beans, and she enjoyed her burrito. Sausage and egg were well-cooked and she gave it a thumbs up. As for the taco, I requested for the Asada and their small taco was delicious and grateful they added the lime. But I enjoyed the sauce and the crisp meat and I actually enjoyed the taco much more than the chorizo breakfast burrito. But for the most part, a lot of people seek value especially when it comes to breakfast burritos and in Lemoore, Panchito's Taqueria and Carniceria Panaderia y Taqueria both offer the best value, with the latter having the larger of the burritos. But overall, you can't go wrong with Panchito's Taqueria. And if you are going to be parking at the West Hills Community College in Lemoore during the WSL Surfing Championships in September, just know that the location is not too far if you're willing to walk to it. read more

Been here so many time as a walk in with no problem this time I chose to call ahead. I ordered a breakfast burrito with everything EXCEPT salsa and a chili verde burrito with ONLY meat, beans, cheese and salsa. The lady who took the order over the phone was super sweet and repeated everything I requested. Drove 15 minutes to pick it up and 15 minutes back home only to realize both burritos were not made as requested. Always been my go to place for a breakfast burrito. I usually order a chorizo & sausage breakfast burrito. Be aware though if you order chorizo it's a bit spicy for those folks who are not used to it. For those that do enjoy the spicy hotness ask for red sauce . Usually call ahead and they quick to have it done by the time they tell you. Love that it's in a gas station so I can grab a quick drink to go with it too. Perfect pit stop . ! read more

This place isn't the greatest but it isn't the worst. The carnitas are horrible slimy with fat. To small for the outrageous price. The tacos aren't good.
